We went to the ballgame today, had another group go with us. My S.O. And I already got in, they didn't seem to care about the size of our bag, but when my sister tried to get in, her purse was 1/2" longer than the max allowable size, and they gave her trouble. Made her go all the way back to the car to return it. It was very frustrating, she felt targeted because she has brown skin. I don't know if that's the case, but it sure did feel like it. They didn't enforce the clear bag policy like the Cardinals do. They have signs everywhere, but I guess they didn't want to hurt feelings Regardless of policy, that made waiting in the line really long because they have to double check backpacks and bags that never should have been there. There was a mask policy that no one enforced either. The people were pretty packed in tight, side by side. Again the Cardinals enforced masks and distanced people very well. They had chairs zip tied to prevent too many groups, but let the people break the ties. The Cardinals enforced the seating chart carefully. It was a very different approach to the safety policies they stated they were going to maintain. I think it will wait a long while before I go back to a game. read more

We were here to watch the Rockies play the D-Backs which ended up being 3 to 2 for the final score. The stadium seems small but it has a cool roof so you won't burn during the summer months. They don't allow any bags to be carried in so I had to sneak in mine so I could use it to hold our three free souvenir t-shirts. They had some deals on food and beer but I bought a large tall can beer for the more expensive price but it was barely cold, I went back and traded it in for a cold beer. It's over 100 degrees outside serve your beer cold, geez. read more

We are from Tx, but love visiting all the stadiums. We have an "all you can eat" section that I was super glad to find, that they also have one. Well it was sad. They only served hot dogs, chips, popcorn and soda in small cups; so we had to go up and down stairs to refill often. My goodness the stairs and hard to find/ get to elevators. Also, I felt the music from the Jumbotron was just too loud for the location I sat in. On the positive side, this place was clean, decently organized, and every employee was friendly and helpful. You can take strollers and regular diaper bags. I took a clear bag just in case, and went through the gate in a breeze. read more

This stadium is amazing!! We go to lots of stadiums, first time to AZ and to see the Diamondbacks vs Padres and it's hot here, but how amazing was it to walk into an air conditioned stadium. Made my day. We got here early so no lines and easy to find our seats and get situated before the crowds came. We got seats behind the dugout and they are so worth the money. We do a MLB trip yearly for my son for Christmas and this is a great stadium to visit. I did my research and was aware of the clear bag policy and Covid restrictions and prepared so no problem. As long as you do your research before you go to places I don't see a problem. We always eat meals before games anyways so we don't have to worry about diet restrictions and false advertising like some have complained about. Notes: it's hot out but my seat in the stadium was cold so wouldn't hurt to bring a hoodie just in case. Worst baseball experience ever. We bought tickets for the US v Mexico game, and from the get-go it was a ****-show. First off, this stadium and the employees were NOT PREPARED FOR 50,000 PEOPLE. The lines to get into the game were highly disorganized w/ individuals cutting others, some lines leading to no where! It was so bad, that we got into another line after waiting for 40 minutes, only to get in faster than the line we were previously in. We were then told that we needed to get an outside locker for a purse because it wasn't allowed in. ??? Only ballpark I'm aware of that doesn't allow purses, ridiculous. The lines for food inside were TERRIBLE. Literally, people stood in lines for 4 innings!!! When we got our food, they weren't even cooked. There were hardly any security or employees directing traffic or providing any help whatsoever. The stores inside for the World Baseball Classic stuff were all sold out except for level 1 store, and I'll tell you, there were so many people in that store, there were violations. And the field itself was not in good condition. There were dry and brown spots on the field. And the stadium as a whole is just not a good ballpark. Least favorite stadium. It was Memorial Day but still plenty hot in the desert at Chase Field. Playing San Diego made for a nice support-the-troops day game, climate-controlled, with that retractable roof closed. Parking factor: since the stadium is downtown, there are plenty of options without having to spend that much. Easy exit afterwards depends solely on where you park, but we didn't have any problems there. Cheap ticket factor: we didn't spend that much on our tickets, and midseason games aren't going to be too horrible. If you want to sit with the royalty, or if the D-backs are on another 2001 tear, surprise you'll pay more (but not that much more). Welcoming factor: nice attendants, plenty of space, we didn't hit up the visitor batting practice but I imagine it'd be standard-fare good times there. You can find out every game if the roof is open/closed, even which side, to judge if you want to go-and-fry or not. Hot tub factor: yes this gets its own rating/category, 6 stars out of 5. Why? Because it exists. In center field enjoy the hot tub or the 358 sq ft pool. Watch from afar but good luck getting in: Pool Suite tickets sell out by May 1. Also there's a "No LA" sign after some Dodgers cannonballed in 2014. Best Sportcenter Top 10: every guy's dream, catching a homerun while diving into the pool. Yes it really happened and he saved his beer (but only during BP so minus style points). Food factor: there's a Churro Dog and a Funnel Cake Chicken Sandwich, enough said. Move freely about the cabin factor: good marks here, with low-key attendants not going overboard on letting kids hang out for a while watching a few outs closer to home plate (or right field). Good time here, and I'll return, and I'm okay if the roof is still closed unless it's early April. read more

What!?!? An air conditioned stadium!?!? Yes please!!! In all seriousness, not including the seats themselves, this is by far the most comfortable stadium I have ever visited. Not only did the air conditioning save us from a miserable 112' day, but the coverage ment no sun in the eyes. A covered stadium also means no rain delays or cancelations. Almost half the games I have attended elsewhere resulted in the latter. To be fair, the bleacher seats along the outfield are well... bleacher seats. Complete with the corrugated metal. While not particularly comfortable, sitting in the back bleachers does allow one to spread out, that is if nobody is around you. We attended on a day with only about 8,000 in attendance. We had plenty of room to spread out. Next time, I will look into a seat cushion. Loads of fan friendly amenities. If it is someone in your party's first game, birthday or other special occasion, check in with guest service. Certificates are available to commemorate the event. We had a birthday and first game. Both children were also each given a pack of baseball cards. It was an exciting way to start the visit. "The Sandlot" has youth activities. Practice pitching and batting. Three levels of batting practice with t-ball, slow pitch and machine pitch. Machine pitch is for older kids. There is also a playground. Sandlot activities are all on the upper level. There is a kid's club. Kids get free games on Sundays, and earn rewards for attending games. The Kid's Club is free to join. Make sure to check online for the most up-to-date information on their bag policy. At the time of our visit, only clutch purses, and clear vinyl/plastic bags were allowed. Size limits did apply. Limit one bag per person. While on their website also check to see allowable items. Outside food was allowed at the time of our visit. Food had to be in the clear plastic bag. It seemed to be okay to leave food in it's original packaging, and put that in the clear bags. We were not sure. Just in case, I put all our snacks into small zip lock bags, then those in the gallon size ones. Turns out that extra step was not needed. Sealed water and juice boxes were also permitted. The only other outside beverage is baby formula/breast milk. Prefer the stadium food experience? Chase Field is loaded with food and beverage vendors. While many of them repeat throughout the stadium, the plethora of kiosks means shorter lines than at other stadiums I have visited. read more

Your ticket sales manager should be fired. You're a corrupt organization when you offer premium seats at Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers section for a opening season game and sale the tickets to individuals coming in out of the State only to cancel their whole trip the day before the game because you feel that you have more important people that you want those seats to go to. We bought and paid for those seats a month in advance because we had always talked and dreamed about sitting at a table there with 8 friends from work ( INTE_) only to be told that you weren't supposed to sell those seats. Then the real slap in the face was you trying to offer us seats on the 3rd level in a no food service area. HELL NO TO THAT! You just turned these Diamondback fans into Dodger fans. I should day thank you for that DIC_ move because at least we have a winning teams that deserves to celebrate in your pool anytime wanted. It sucks that your hometown teams organization would drive you to being a fan of a States team that sucks bad and this is the last good thing about California. The rest gas gone to SHI_ due to ignorant people running and ruining that state. I wish there was a no star rating possible because that game never happened for us. Chase Field is a great place to watch Major League Baseball games. It isn't perfect, but still a lot of fun. I had a better time at Chase Field than I did at Dodger Stadium last year. Last weekend I drove over 260 miles from Nevada to see the Cubs play the Diamondbacks on Saturday and Sunday. I made a previous similar weekend trip in 2019 to see the Cubs. The Diamondbacks are one of those teams that most people in the area don't care about. There are always more Cubs fans at the games. Chase Field has a roof and the entire field is inside. Even though the temperature outside was over 100 degrees, air conditioning kept the baseball audience inside comfortable. It is easy to get inside the stadium and find your seat. I've sat in different areas of the park and I've always had a good view of the action. I had to take off a star due to the horrible concessions. I had bad experiences at both games I went to last weekend. On Saturday I received the wrong food when I went to the Doubleheaders booth near section 316. They gave me a lot of extra food, but not what I ordered. The next day I gave the same Doubleheaders location another shot. Around 12:35 PM I paid for my food. At 1:00 PM (25 minutes later) I still didn't have my food. I complained and they ended up giving me beer and other food because what I had ordered 25 minutes beforehand still wasn't ready... very bad customer service. There are a lot of bars and restaurants around the stadium both inside and out. You can have a whole day of fun based around seeing a Diamondbacks game. I recommend visiting Chase Field. read more

No disrespect, but coming from Citizens Bank Park to Chase Field was quite the juxtaposition. I attended the Friday and Saturday games, and for playoff baseball, I was shocked at how quiet it was. I also found it odd that there's a "hype team" to inform fans of when they should show some enthusiasm (which didn't really work, btw). Fans really weren't loud at all until they won (on Friday). Diamondbacks fans were even telling other Diamondbacks fans in front of them to sit down when they got up to cheer something exciting that happened. HUH?! It's a playoff game, you should be standing! I guess the fan atmosphere can't really be controlled and isn't really a relevant part of a Chase Field review, so in regards to the actual structure itself, it left much to be desired. Inside is quite depressing and dreary. Getting up to the 300 level left many people winded, and getting out of the stadium through the stairwells felt like a cattle chute and moved very slowly. I was hoping it'd at least be a comfortable temperature, with the outside temps reaching over 100 each day, but it was really warm (like back of the thigh sweat, stick to your seat warm) even while wearing shorts. I asked a vendor on the concourse if I could have a cup of ice and was told no, but maybe that's because I'm a Phillies fan, or maybe they count the cups at the end of the night. I don't know. And no, it wasn't a souvenir cup, just a plain, clear plastic cup. I can't speak about the food because a Reddit search on AZDiamondbacks advised me to stay away, and I'm glad I did based on what I saw around me. Edited to add that we did get 2 vodka drinks, and I was shocked when she told me the total: $80 after tip. That's highway robbery! 2 stars because I was able to get a pair of tickets for 2 games in actual seats for less than 1 standing room only ticket in Philly, and I'm pretty sure I could've gotten them for even less than I paid if I had waited a little bit longer to purchase. Plus, overall, it's been a great competitive series! read more

When we entered the stadium, we saw loads of bags that were larger than ours. We even saw the exact same bag. I was here for 2 games of the World Baseball Classic. The USA vs. Great Britain game was not completely sold out (about 40,000) but Chase Field was not prepared for the amount of people buying concessions and WBC souvenirs. We waited in a line for the team store for over an hour. There was one long line and someone decided to cut the line and then a whole line formed behind them which was not fair to everyone else waiting in the line for an hour. I looked for an employee to control the line but couldn't find one employee. When it came to concessions, all lines were extremely long. I picked the shortest line and waited almost an hour for 2 hot dogs and an order of chicken strips. And those hot dogs were not worth the wait or the cost of $8 a piece. As for our seats, we had kids running down in between innings and during the game to beg for balls from the outfielders. They would block the views of the people sitting there and were rude to the adults. And once again, not an usher in sight to tell these kids to sit down. On Sunday, at the USA vs. Mexico game there were over 47,000 people in attendance. It was the same story as far as lines and lack/shortage of ushers or employees. But we came prepared and didn't buy anything so we didn't have to wait in a long line. I know it's hard to find people to hire but this was ridiculous. read more

We came here for a family fun day for my brothers work. It's easy to find and plenty of parking in the parking garages. Security was quick and thorough checking all of our items. I don't mind waiting in line to make sure an event is secure and safe for my family to be. The stadium itself is easy to navigate to get where you need to be. This event had everything on the field so it was really cool to be able to see the stadium from there. We also got to tour the dugout and the locker room which the kids enjoyed. Of course the food is expensive and you can expect that at any stadium or big event. I think we paid $9 for a drink lol but don't mind as it just comes with the experience. What a dump. Ridiculously long concession lines on all levels. Only ONE food outlet on suite/club level and even the mobile pickup line is 15 people deep. Everyone is depressed with the lines and how bad it all is. One member of my group said the stadium reminded him of New York New York casino and that was not a compliment. Couldn't figure out how to keep grass alive so now they play on carpet. $10 bags of peanuts. Not enough elevators or escalators to go from one level to another. The noise between pitches makes ears bleed. If you want some entertaining reading go look up the construction history/debacle/boondoggle this stadium was. Talk about ineptitude and corruption! I sent the tickets but he never accepted or paid for them. I even wrote him asking if he wanted them. No response so I cancelled the transaction. Stubhub is trying to say that I was not in contact with him. WTHeck. Then one person will tell you absolutely not you do not owe. Another says yes you do. I've been coming here since it was built, Diamond Backs are my Major League Baseball team to be sure!!! I've truly sat all over the ballpark, lots of fun in almost any section! As usual the drinks and beers are pricey, and food is plentiful if mostly lackluster. Enjoyed time with my son and his friends in the outfield benches when after sitting for two hours the "jarheads" in front of us finally returned to their seats just to call us thieves accusing us of taking their free t-shirts; which my son could not abide :( Because of the ruckus, we were escorted out...got my haboob globe tho :D Thanks for he memories Chase field!!!! I won't lie, I think baseball is kind of lame to watch. However, I've been to a fair number of games in my life and have seen various stadiums. I have to say, Chase Field is one of the nice ones! The inside is clean, the seats are pretty comfortable, and there is a TON of options when it comes to food vendors. You have much more to choose from than just traditional concessions stands (although they have those too!). Portillos, PV Burger Co, Cold Stone, Dutch Bros, Streets of New York, and America's Taco Shop all have spots inside. Plus there are a ton of awesome concessions items at the other places (a churro dog?! Come on.) The fact that they have air conditioning and can keep the roof closed is a big bonus for being in Arizona in the summer. The game we attended though they still opened it in 108 degree weather. Not sure that I am here for that but I guess at least they have the option? Overall it's a nice venue to watch a game as long as it isn't too hot. read more

Terrible We attended Pinks concert on October 9, 2023. Pink was awesome!!!!! However, I purchased floor seats and was very careful to to know how close I was to the stage. When we arrived, section F12 appeared to be much further back than it should have been. I learned that Chase field moved the stage back several hundred feet as they didn't want the stage on the baseball field. I took my 11 year old niece to her first concert which is why I spent the money it takes to be on the floor. Chase has an obligation to match seats to the seat map that you purchase through Ticket Master or Stub Hub. They failed to do this. Many concert goers that evening were upset by the distance from the stage. Chase Field was fraudulent in moving that stage. They should have to compensate ticket buyers. I've only been to a few MLB stadiums in the US but this was one of my favorite experiences. Chase Field is easy to navigate, there are plenty of restrooms so you never have to walk far, and there are endless food and drink options. I was seriously impressed with the food and drink pricing as well. I paid $17 for a 32 ounce lemonade and a hefty portion of mini pretzels - more than I could ever finish alone. I'm aware this is still inflated pricing and you do have the option to bring in your own snacks and drinks as long as the packaging is still sealed. They also need to be carried in a clear bag so security is able to inspect them. My absolute favorite thing about Chase Field is the retractable roof! It was pretty hot the day we went so the roof was closed and the stadium was air conditioned for the first few innings. Once the sun got lower and the temperature dropped, the roof opened and a nice breeze blew throughout. It was so pleasant! There were plenty of security officers posted throughout as well as stadium employees should you have any questions or need help with anything. Coors also sponsors an extra chilly air conditioned section if you find yourself feeling too warm. I recommend catching a game at Chase Field no matter what team you root for. Go D-backs! read more

cool spot to catch a Dodgers win and give the Diamond backs their 16th straight loss! very grand stadium located in Downtown. pedestrian friendly and the train comes through. i hear parking is a pain, but, luckily we walked from our nearby hotel. there are a couple bars/restaurants in the area, but, with it being 115 degrees outside, it's hard to bar hop. the AC inside is well managed. you easily cool down once you enter. the entire venue is accessible from all points. there are a lot of dining/drink options, but, some were still closed from Covid. the one spot that served milk shakes were not serving it and the place with the icees was just not open at all. i get it. we'll definitely be back after we hit up the rest of the division. read more

We came to Chase recently for the first time for when the Dodgers were in town and it felt like a Dodgers home game lol. Where are all the DBacks fans? In terms of the stadium itself, this is now my 4th stadium I've been to and I would have to put it 2nd on the list. Petco so far rules, with Dodger and Angel stadium right behind. Since we were here on a 100+ degree weekend, the dome was closed. We ended up staying close by at one of the downtown hotels so we just walked to the stadium and that's one of the good things about Chase. You do have some options around the neighborhood since there's some nice bars and restaurants to go to within walking distance. The food here was also pretty good for ballpark food. I've been to a bunch of Dodgers game lately and Dodger Dogs are the most horrendous things you can eat now. Chase food is a step up. There's a Sandwich cart on the field level that serves some great beef dip sandwiches. The pizza is also good and even the value hot dogs for $2 bucks taste like heaven compared to a Dodger Dog. read more

Wow! This place is 25 years old but it looks and feels brand new! I've been to a few ball parks and this is one of the best in my opinion. Let's start with getting to and in this park. We bought parking passes but there were parking options besides these. Their parking garage is right across the street and an easy 5 minute walk to the inside of the park. Maybe I was walking fast. Once inside the park I felt the perfect temperature. This is kind of of unreal really. The announcement just now was that they might open the roof depending on the temperature. I find the option to do this fascinating and I can't wait to see it. Let's talk food. First is the "value menu". 2 dollar hot dogs, cokes, popcorn. Not giant but better than any pro sports venue I have EVER been to. I've had $2 dogs but only on Tuesday nights way back. This is every day! DRAFT BEER $4! I said that loud enough for my Bay Area friends to hear and then be sick. Getting to the seat was phenomenally easy compared to say Oracle Park in SF. There, you ramp up slowly, seems to go on 4 ever to get to the third deck. Here, we escalated automatic style and elevator. No stairs unless you like them. Once in the seat I immediately noticed the angle at which the seats wear anchored. At a slight angle so you don't have to twist your spine to get a straight look at the action. Smart person at work there! The first inning has started and I am loving this park. Yeah, I don't know what it's like before the pandemic but it is ultra cool right now. Great experience. Chase Field is very clean and safe. The employees are friendly. Parking is easy. There are several really good food and drink concessions. Really enjoyed the closed roof and A/C. Lots of fun for all ages. read more

My old man and I came here to see a game a few years ago. While this isn't the most beautiful stadium it is practical for the Arizona heat. The staff were all nice and there is even a pool in right-center field. I'm a big guy who takes up a lot of space, so the fans might confuse me for an orca in there! read more
