Very nice ballpark, smaller than most and just as pricier as any other park you'll visit. We're Cubs fans from the Chicagoland area so we ideally only visit Chase Field when the Cubs are in town. We catch at least 2 D-backs games a year. This is a great place for a baseball game in the valley. The roof is closed when the weather gets hot and the temp is a cool 77 degrees inside for the game. There are lots of food and team shops on the concourses. Parking is conveniently located across the street. There is a skyway that crosses over and leads to the upper level entrance. My review is not for any specific baseball game or concert but rather the guided tour at this field. This is a must-do for baseball fans in town especially during the offseason. We had a very knowledgeable guide who walked my dad and I through the entire stadium. We got to sit at the press conference booth, tour the visitors clubhouse, sit in the home dugout, and walk out onto the warning track! Highly recommended. I'm a White Sox fan from the Chicago suburbs, but anyone familiar with the Diamondbacks and the team history will love this experience. read more

A great stadium, smack downtown surrounded by more independent restaurants and bars, as opposed to the stand-alone Anaheim and Dodger Stadiums back home. A great place to see the Angels beat the D-Backs. The main reason I like the park is because I threw a paper airplane from the TOP ROW of the TOP SECTION and it made it onto the field. Maybe because of the aerodynamics or maybe because the stadium was empty, not sure. read more

I've been to several Diamondback games and have to say this is a great stadium. The retractable roof is a great addition, I've been to games with it open and more recently closed. It's nice to be able to watch the game in an air conditioned setting on those hot summer days. The food choices are also another great feature of this stadium. They have so many different types of foods and also a variety of alcohol. From beer, liquor, Dutch bros and even Micheladas and mangonadas. I'm not a huge baseball fan, but it's fun to come out here and hang out with friends. read more

Would leave 0 stars if I could. On a quest to hit every baseball stadium, stop #24 was Chase Field. I bought a club level ticket, section 210H, right in front of the owner's box. The view was fantastic, the rest of the experience has been, by far, the worst ballpark experience I've experienced thus far. It started off rather innocuously. I followed the signs to the 200/300 level seats and found my way walking up the stairs like I've done in so many other stadiums. When I got to the "Diamond Level" I kept going as I had seats in the 200 level, I didn't realize that once I got to the top level, that it was only the 300 level and I had to turn around to head back down to the Diamond Level, which includes all 200 level seating. No big deal. I ordered a $25 cocktail from the bar and a hotdog and popcorn from the concession stand, my normal baseball fare when attending a new stadium. Around the 3rd inning I needed a refill and wanted more food, this is where my disdain for Chase Field begins. I learned that Chase Field has 3 areas for food/cocktails on the 200 level: one at each foul pole and one behind home plate. Each area has 1 food option. 1. That's it. So it's either eat what they sell, or walk all the way down to the foul pole and order from the only food concession down there. Nevertheless, I went to the concession area behind home plate, and I have a time stamp from a text at 7:18pm on my way from section 210 to that food stand in section 214. A mere couple minute walk. I only ordered a pretzel and a bratwurst. Standard baseball fare. I stood in a 45-minute line, even though there were only 8 people in front of me. By the time I got up to the concession stand to order my brat and pretzel, I was told the brats had to be cooked, and by 8:10pm, I was still without my order. Why pay the extra money for an enhanced experience in the club level to miss 1/3 of the game simply because you're waiting for a bratwurst from a concession stand???? It wasn't a special order/unique item. It was as standard as they come. The people in front of me were waiting on hot dogs. Hot dogs! Unacceptable! After finally receiving my order and making my way back to my seat, the undercooked brat was quickly finished and I wanted more food, but did not want to wait in the same line with the same food choices, so I went down to the 100 level concourse to find food. In left field, I ordered something but struggled to find somewhere to eat it. I headed toward home plate, wrapped around heading toward first base and eventually found myself in the empty center field bleacher section. I set my food down to eat and I was told I was not allowed to sit there without a ticket for that section. My much more expensive club level ticket, being in a section with awful food options/service did not allow me to squat for a few minutes in the empty section to finish my food. I told the usher, "I just need a place to put down my food" and he responded, "Well you'll need to find somewhere else" If the stadium were somewhat full, I may be more empathetic. This game is taking place at the end of September. The Diamondbacks have an MLB worst 49-105 record. I only bring that up so that you may imagine the emptiness of the stadium. The only solace I have is knowing that I never have to visit Phoenix ever again unless the Diamondbacks move stadiums, but hopefully they switch cities to a place that knows how to offer a real ball park experience. Maybe I'm jaded/spoiled having been to 23 other stadiums prior and having experienced fantastic club level food and drink options. Maybe I'm expecting too much to expect hot dogs and brats to be readily available. Nevertheless, if you're a sadomasochist, or feel the need to ABSOLUTELY go, then so be it, but don't waste your money, stick to the cheapest 100 level ticket you can find, and appreciate the food selection you have on the lower level knowing you have a seat where you can enjoy your purchase. read more

I've been to Chase Bank Field on 2 separate occasions. Both times I had fun watching the Arizona Diamondbacks play. This is a ballpark with a retractable roof but for both my visits, the roof was closed. I'd say a majority of the time the roof is closed as the temperatures in Phoenix soar during the summers of baseball season. Although I've enjoyed the games at Chase Field, the reason I'm giving it 3 stars has to do with my comparison with it to the other 30 baseball parks around Major League Baseball. It's in the middle of the pack. It's cool from a lot of aspects, but never blew me out of the water amazing. Some aspects about Chase Bank Field that I liked are...the ballpark never fills up with too many fans. Regardless of the Diamondbacks' record, the stadium doesn't get sold out daily like Yankees Stadium, Fenway or Wrigley. So you never really have that electric atmosphere. But at the same time you can spread out and not have every seat next to you occupied. On that note, tickets are real accessible. Both of my visits I went straight to the box office the day of the games and bought good tickets for cheap. Prices are reasonable wherever you choose to sit throughout the park. My first visit I sat in left field a couple rows back. The next time I sat in the upper deck behind home plate. In both spots my tickets weren't expensive and the views were good. Describing Chase Field from the outside, it's located in the heart of downtown Phoenix right next to Talking Stick Resort Arena where the NBA's Suns play. There's plenty of parking available in garages right beside the ballpark. Also, although I don't live in Phoenix, it looks like they have plenty of public transportation to Chase Field if you choose not to drive. From outside the park, there's good opportunities for photos from the main street area. That's where most fans stopped for pics with Chase Field signs hanging in clear view. If you walk around the stadium for better angles of the park, you don't really get much as you pass through an area of train tracks and are confronted with the parking garages. From the outside, the park reminds me of a giant, square boxed structure similar to that of Minute Maid Park in Houston. On the inside, you can walk around the stadium without interruption. There aren't too many exciting features inside other than the infamous pool that's situated in the outfield. Access to the pool for swimming is part of having a ticket for the area. Without a ticket, it's closed to spectators. You can only walk past it, observe and hang out up close to it, and of course for myself take a photo of it! There is a giant sized scoreboard that's located in straight away center field. Views from the upper deck were pretty good and a good spot for photo taking of the massiveness of Chase Field. The outfield has seating that extends down to eye level from both left and right fields. They are good spots to watch the game from for cheap in my view. Food from what I remember wasn't overwhelmingly memorable. They have your typical baseball type fair at typical baseball park prices. One other thing I'd like to point out, since the stadium doesn't fill up too much for the games, you definitely get a more relaxed and laid back vibe that some people including myself actually enjoy. Overall, I have no complaints about Chase Field. I was happy both times I visited to have the chance to watch Diamondback games. I'd also recommend to anyone to visit and check out the park regardless if they're fans of baseball or not. I wouldn't put this place in my Top 10 of parks out there, but still it was satisfactory enough in my eyes. read more

I am giving the 5 star review solely for Erin (sp?) in guest relations. When I bought my seats there was no indication that two in the end would be obstructed views. Billy Joel is my son's favorite and we waited months to see this show. When I talked to Erin she was so sympathetic, kind and was able to help move our seats to a less obstructed view. Ticketmaster should do a better job when you select seats alerting to the type of view you may have as I go to many shows and would never select seats with rails and plexiglass in the way. read more

Had a pretty good time last night (7/5/2022) watching the Arizona Diamondbacks host the San Francisco Giants at Chase Field. The field was well groomed prior to the first pitch and the building was plenty cool inside when it was well over 100 outside. Lots of different options for food and drinks. I was in section 133, row 5, close to the field between 3rd base & left field. Excellent seats. Paid $78 for the 2 seats on StubHub after all fees. The Italian roast beef sandwich I got for 10.50 was excellent. The $18 I spent on a Modelo beer from a vendor was ridiculously expensive in my books. That was after a 15% tip. There's value beer for $4.99 for about a 12oz cup.....but you have to be willing to drink Coors light, which I am not. Bathrooms were clean and all of the park staff seemed friendly. Dbacks even ended up winning the game after a late inning comeback and swept the 3 game series. read more

Very cool stadium literally HAHA it's inside thank god ! They would t have anyone at these games if they had to sit outside. Great stadium and beautiful setup. Plenty of food and beverage selections. I sat in the club seats and the perks of these seats was a little underwhelming. They do take orders at the seats very limited selection of food. They have a club very small for a club that has to accommodate the amount of seats they have that can go down there. Little Buffett that you have to pay extra for. They did have premium liquor selection which was great. If you get club seats it's basically a better view don't count on the added benefits. Still great experience went here for three game series against the cubs. read more

Great ballpark in my book, just lacks a little identity. The commercial like feel is fine but sure doesn't feel like Wrigley or Fenway but hey, you can not have it all. There is not a bad seat in the house but the park is so large that if you are in the rafters, you probably won't see the ball. For today, we were blessed with great seats behind home plate to watch the Brewers play. Everything about the seats were awesome, from the view, to comfort, to attentive staff, if you don't mind losing some dough, it's totally worth it. With the seats, you get access to the Audi Club, which offers buffet dining. We didn't take advantage of it but looked like a nice option, if again, you want to lose a little dough. Overall, Chase is a nice ballpark and when your team wins, it's the icing on the cake. :) read more

I'm going to be honest,, as an employee of another baseball team, I'm a bit critical of stadiums. Chase field has some good features and some not so good features. A friend and I decided to fly down and catch a game between our team and theirs. She found tickets on Stub Hub for a reasonable price and the blurb gave us all these things that came with the ticket. First, gotta love the concourse, nice and wide and easy to navigate. We walked around the entire main floor, what's not to love about a pool you can buy tickets to. Very cool that they have a Pet Porch where people can buy tickets and bring their pets. Stopped in Guest Relations to get a first game certificate and chatted with the nice men working there. We mentioned we worked for the opposing team and shared some stories and then one of them went in the back and got us each a D-Back tee shirt which in our opinion earned him major points. Our seats were right behind the dugout, literally two rows back. Doesn't get much better than that. We were bothered that the fans in the first row put all their trash on the dugout as well as their feet. Wouldn't happen in our ball park. Seating hosts didn't seem to care. Towards the end of the game the people in the front row left and a young man who obviously didn't belong there came and sat in the front row, chewed tobacco in a smoke/tobacco free area and harassed the players. No one seemed to care. Our tickets came with entry to what we thought was supposed to be the equivalent of a restricted club which it was. In most parks if you have that ticket it's free food, not at Chase. they had a full bar, and a buffet that was $29, not ball park food. They also had two smaller side restaurants with bars and food. We opted to order a burger to take to our seat. We'd been told there was in seat service by several hosts, which was untrue. Lost points for that. Burgers were supposed to be cooked med well, not. Fries were cold and not edible. Would have been better served eating at a concession stand. Lots of concession stands but most seemed to have the same food. Not too many choices. Went to buy ice cream and they were sold out of almost every flavor. On a hot day how could that happen. It's a 20 year old ball park, does need a few upgrades. Looked at the floor when we got there before people in the park and under the seats looked like it hadn't been power washed in ages. It was definitely nice and comfortAble there and very spacious.Its also nice having your very own restroom very clean and no lines . Well with baseball season fast approaching i find it only fitting to start writing some reviews of my favorite MLB parks over the next few weeks. Since i live here in Arizona now i will start with Chase Field which i visited last June when i was out here on vacation. The D-Backs were playing the San Francisco giants and when i walked into the stadium it felt like i was walking into a brand new carpeted home...with all the amenities included. It was also a comfortable enough night to leave the roof open...which is great because that is the way baseball should be played anyway. That being said i totally understand the need for the enclosed stadium out here...due to the blistering heat of course (LOL). However it was a great night again to see the game so i am glad the roof was open. I sat out in right center field near the pool out there...that's right the Swimming pool folks. There is a nice restaurant and Bar out there and you can sit out right by the pool and enjoy the game. The stadium was extremely clean...the vendors were very friendly....and the sight lines are great to watch a baseball game. Even the planes flying in and out from sky harbor airport were nice to see flying over the stadium every 20 min or so. The ticket prices and food prices were good compared to other parks i have been too...so i had no complaint about that. The parking is another issue though because i parked in the neighborhood but you have to be careful parking down there because the signs and meters can be confusing. My suggestion is to park in the garage...or a couple blocks over from the stadium and walk and i can guarantee you and your car will be fine. The outdoor vendors and restaurants leading to the stadium could be better...but again they are very friendly and there are always specials for the games and people just hanging out having a good time. I have been to 16 MLB stadiums and this one is definitely in my top 10..i look forward to going to a few games this summer to enjoy some baseball. If your ever in phoenix and want to go to a fan friendly stadium and of course love baseball...because you don't have to like the D-Backs(i don't...LOL) to go, then you should pay Chase Field a visit. Chase field is a great venue, I love the retractable roof, which is great for baseball and all kinds of concerts and events. I have been here numerous times to see baseball games and sometimes they will have fireworks after. They have more food options and drinks then just the normal beer and hotdogs. 0/5 for parking. Absolutely awful. Clearly whoever planned this location and parking garage had no foresight whatsoever. It took over an hour after arriving to actually park. Within the hour, we were still unable to make it to the actual Chase parking garage. If you use any of the surface streets, it will cost you $30-70 to park. If you're further away and want to use one of the rigshaws to get to the stadium, that's another $30 each way. Actual stadium 3/5 The directional and instructional signage at the actual stadium is sorely lacking inside and out, poorly organized, no one was quite sure where they were going or how to actually get there (what are all these different lines for, how do you get upstairs, where is food, etc.). The rows are each like 20 seats long, so there's a big difference how many people you're crawling over depending on which side you enter from, which also would be helpful to have indicated. The women's bathrooms were also clearly an afterthought, as 2/3 of the space was taken up by urinals, so there were only a few actual usable stalls for women. The prices as far as concessions are pretty standard for these venues, not especially expensive as far as that goes. The seats were a reasonable size and comfort level for this type of venue. read more

This was the 4th MLB ballpark I've visited and the first one that was indoors. Technically, Chase Field has a retractable roof so its not solely an indoor stadium, but thankfully it was for the Thursday afternoon game I attended. The weather was a blistering 107 degrees that day. No bueno. They even turned the AC on so it was sooooo incredibly refreshing to escape the heat for a few hours and watch a ball game. I went here to see my San Diego Padres play the Diamondbacks and although the game was a blowout, the experience was great! We got field level tickets that were slightly after first base and it was about $22/each. Fantastic deal! You can usually find tickets on StubHub, like we did, which comes slightly cheaper than buying tickets on the team website. I really like the vibe of an indoor stadium as I've never experienced it before. Walking in, I was instantly gravitated towards the general feel of this ballpark. It's got a clean and aestetically pleasing character about it. The fans are really nice here as well and didn't heckle visiting fans like other teams (*cough* Dodgers). Didn't try the food but got a mixed drink here. A pina colada smoothie in a small cup ran $$11 which is a rip-off but that's whats expected at any ballpark. You can take solace in knowing that the drinks are well-made though. It's fun to walk around too. They have lots of food options and an awesome DBacks team store located on the field level. There's even a pool in the outfield! We parked at a parking lot that was rit next to the stadium and it was $10. Paying for parking is such a scam but tbh, that was much cheaper than comparable parking at other ballparks. This stadium has a unique and relaxing vibe and definitely a great spot to watch some baseball. read more

I been to many stadiums and this is one of my favorites. I attended a game against the Atlanta Braves and it was a great experience. Food prices are typical for any MLB stadium but get the combo meals and it seems cheaper. The bigger the beer the cheaper it seems. There really isn't a bad seat inside the entire place. Get there early enough and you can go down tot he bleachers during batting practice to catch a homerun hit. The staff is very friendly and talkative. If I lived in Arizona I would get season tickets. The merchandise pricing is pretty cheap too compared to most stadiums. $23 for a hat compared to $41 at Dodgers Stadium. read more

This stadium will always remain affectionately know as the "BOB" in my mind. It is a nice new stadium, conveniently located in downtown Phoenix..... easy for out of town guests to walk to/from downtown hotels or cheap cab ride away. Stadium has that cool feel inside, retractable roof is a nice touch so you can keep cool during the summer but still have real grass on the field. The dirt path from home plate to the pitcher's mound is a cool old school touch, and everyone loves to dream about watching the game from the famous hot tub in center field (maybe some day). Enjoy the shaved ice and strawberries in cream (served in a nachos type tray - instead of nacho cheese, they have the whipped cream). Nice misters around the stadium... and cool bars just outside. Decor is cool inside.... be sure to walk around the stadium to see all vantage points. read more

A MLB game was on my bucket list. Check it off. That being said I would for sure come to another game if the opportunity presented it self. I got good tickets for a good price and prepaid for parking for 9 dollars. Not bad at all. I had my 8 yo grandsons with me and it was a blast. We went to a afternoon game so it was not crowded at all. The Sandlot kids area was a ton of fun. It's nice they cater to a family atmosphere. As for seating. It seemed to me if you want a chance at a ball the left field bleachers were the place to be, Peralta kept them supplied. He even walked a ball to a small child and handed it to them. That's what baseball is all about. If you want to follow the game closely sit a little higher. We were on the second row and it was hard to see some of the plays. All in all it was a 5 Star experience. I only deducted s star because the beer is extremely expensive. I would have liked to have a beer with peanuts but I can buy a 12 pack for what they were selling a can for. If they are worried about people drinking too much they should implement a wristband system. If they are just gouging on the price shame on them :) Finally. Every employee, from parking attendants to the players on the field, was friendly and helpful. Great job Chase Field on a great experience read more

Absolutely loved out recent trip to see the Diamondbacks. Let's start with: It was very easy to access the field from the nearest parking garage. They had a third level bridge that takes you directly into the stadium, through security in record time, and it was easy to navigate to anywhere in the stadium from there. Note: There are a lot of helpful employees around that can help direct you to your seating area if you're not sure where you're going. I've been to the stadium twice. The first time, my husband I and sat down in the "regular" area and we had an amazing time. The crowd atmosphere is great. If you ever feel like something needs to be reported, they have giant signs up with a number to text. This helps to keep everything family friendly if you're there with kids. I've never, however, had a problem here. But this trip we sat in the "Legends Suite" and it was phenomenal. A great view, food and drinks, and great company. I will say there is zero chance of catching a ball here and I'll probably never get the opportunity to sit here again...but a suite would be a nice way to go if you're hosting an extraordinary party. Lots of dining options. Show up early and you can watch the teams practice. I was able to watch as the visiting team practiced. They gave away at least 30 balls from practice to local kids that were trying to catch them in different areas. I thought that was *very* sweet. Love Chase Stadium. Especially when they open the roof up!!! read more

A very unique experience... Traveling around the country and going to different ballparks is one of my favorite things to do. As you know I am a baseball ( stadium) loving fool. We had a group of 5 & sat in Friday's Front row sports bar. Now that was right up my alley. It's your typical Friday's menu with some restrictions. At a cost of roughly $75 per person including food & alcohol. Thought that it was a bit on the pricey side. Considering that the seats are in the 200 level in left center field. Plus that didn't include taxes or tip for our server. After taking our initial food & drink orders, she was kind of hard to find at times. There's not much history in the stadium that I can see. Yes they have a retractable roof and AC. But for some reason it was opened a short time after the game started. Maybe next time I'll take a dip in the pool with a large group of friends. Nothing stands out so it was a ok in my book. read more

Take me out to the ballgame! Chase field is unlike any other; from the retractable roof (thank goodness for that in the summer), to the pool in the outfield and Friday's front row overlooking the field of play, it is one of a kind. I have been enjoying this stadium since it was first built and it is still as wonderful today as it was then. The entire place is extremely clean, smells like a ballpark (you know fried food, popcorn, fresh grass...), easy to navigate, and offers entertainment and food for just about anyone. Through the years the park has expanded its entertainment options; kids can play in the play place, you can work out at the gym, watch the organ player, hit up the brewery in the outfield, swim in the pool, eat and drink just about anything you want, shop fan merchandise, and watch he game of course! One of my least favorite things about going to games, concerts, or big events is using the public restrooms. The lines (especially as a female), and the cleanliness can be a concern; however at Chase this is not a problem. I have never stood in line due to the vast number of restrooms, and they are always clean! The clean up crew does an incredible job all the way around. The only negative I can say is that the price of food at some of the stands can be extremely high. I guess they have to make money, but be sure to bring your wallet. Chase Field provides a very pleasant baseball experience. Unfortunately we don't make it to games often enough, but the couple times we've gone we've had a great time. Seats are great (both times we've sat in the 300's)-I don't think there's a bad spot in the house. We like sitting near the sandlot. They have great activities for the kiddos. Food options are abundant and there is something for every taste and budget. Parking doesn't seem to be an issue as garages abound. I don't think paying $10 for parking is that steep. We are just so tired of the blame disrespect and lack of code of conduct enforcement. Women are continually allowed to enter the ballpark in bras and bralettes, no shirts. Great field! Love the pool and retractable roof. I mentioned how the food is more like small restaurants now versus baseball food, u know hot dogs, nachos, etc. Dont get me wrong they still have all that but now there are full on dining restaurants available as well. Churro dog! Omg. Thats like 5000 calories but so worth it. A maple donut cut in half (the bun), a churro (the dog) topped with ice cream, whip cream and chocolate syrup. Hello fatty! Been to 22 stadiums and this was not my favorite. I would not say it's bad like the old Vet or Shea and in its defense this stadium is older than the newer wave. Heck it's only two years younger than Turner Field and the Braves already replaced that! The roof has to be there too as much as that's not baseball to me because it was hot as (insert your favorite analogy here) outside to the point the asphalt was melting under my flip flop when I got back to my car. The sound is oddly quiet until there's a good play and indoor sound bounces off the walls. The fans are generally knowledgeable but not to a St. Louis level for example. Food options are medium variety but quality seemed higher than average. A cup of froyo was only 5 bucks and they loaded up mine for good value. One key to be aware of. Some teams have bark in the Park day, we'll AriZona has the PetSmart deck more than once a year but it's for a good cause. If you adopt a pet then can get a cool booth with gated perimeter to watch game and bind with your new pet. It is a great cause for sure but if you are allergic to animals stay away from the area (luckily I am not). Parking seems decent and there's enough to do in the area at the convenient downtown location. Most seats have good sight lines but some upper deck seats may be the biggest nosebleed in America. The secret to this stadium is the bar on the 200 level in right field (not left). It's the only place anyone is allowed to go on the middle level and bar is open seating. If you do well can get a view better than from your actual seat. Beer isn't cheaper than vendors but is equivalent price with larger selection and you can get water cups that aren't 8 bucks or whatever a bottle costs. So overall a stadium worth going to if you live in the area, but many of the newer ballparks especially ones with a roof have learned from this one. The stories I have heard about the game day staff with veterans, cancer survivors, etc is top notch, perhaps the best in the league. read more

I was surprised by Chase field. I thought it was going to be a total dumpster but I was completely wrong. There are so many attractions in the stadium and they are amazing! There are so many good options that are tasty. And the best of all, it's air conditioned!! read more

A quick update for the 2017 season. Chase Field really is going all out with their new menu for fans, with dozens of new and one of a kind food concoctions made specifically for the ballpark. Tonight was my first game of the 2017 season so I decided to look into some of their new items. My stomach only had enough room for three of them, though when I describe them you'll probably consider my feat a herculean miracle. You will either come away from this update grossed out or intrigued. So here goes. I was actually going to try the new Enchilada dog which is a Mexican spin on the 18 inch long D-Bat Dog. However I was misdirected by the usher so I instead decided on a couple of different options for my first game this season. First, The Bacon Wrapped Pretzel Baguette. A footlong sandwich with tons of ham and swiss cheese stuffed into a pretzel baguette. And then yes, the baguette is wrapped from end to end in bacon and fried. Bacon lovers, this sandwich will be nothing short of an etherial experience for you. The creaminess of the cheese does a pretty good job mellowing out the meat flavors, though make no mistake, this is a heavy hitting sandwich. Second, the Funnel Cake Chicken Sandwich. Say what you ask? Alright, this one is another step up on the insane scale. A crispy and slightly spicy chicken fillet topped with cheddar cheese and strawberry jam. And then the insane part. Instead of buns, the sandwich is bookended by two funnel cakes with powdered sugar. And if you're really game, it comes with maple syrup on the side to dunk your sandwich. Its a delicious hot mess of a sandwich. The funnel cakes pretty much disintegrated after the first couple of bites so I was operating the rest with a knife and fork (which admittedly made it easier to dunk the fixins in the syrup). Great contrasts of sweet, salty and savory throughout the sandwich, though I was nearly wearing it after attempting to hold everything together with two hands. After about 5 innings of letting that fatty cholesterol bomb sit in my stomach, I got up the courage to go for one more of the D-Backs' new food creations. Dessert anyone? Many of you have probably heard of the Churro Dog, right? But have you seen Churro Dog 2.0? The specs: A long john glazed donut with a footlong churro inside (this churro is rolled in Oreo cookie crumbs). Then on top, there's three scoops of vanilla frozen yogurt, strawberry sauce, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and lots and lots of Oreo cookie crumbs. Its a delicious dessert to be sure and a filling one, though I'll be honest I prefer the original Churro Dog myself. The original Churro Dog doesn't have the Oreo accents and is instead topped with caramel sauce. If you're a huge Oreo fan, you'll love the 2.0. If not, stick to the original Churro Dog. Cost for the Funnel Cake Sandwich? $12. Cost for the Bacon Wrapped Pretzel Baguette? $15. Cost for Churro Dog 2.0? $11. As with pretty much all food and beverage items at Chase Field, its gonna be more expensive than similar fare you might get at your neighborhood restaurant or grocery store. But think of it this way, if you're going to go a ballgame and spend extra anyway, you might as well get your money's worth and get something at the ballpark you won't get anywhere else. Right? Based on my three items, the D-Backs stadium chefs have done a great job coming up with unique and innovative (if perhaps weird or arguably grotesque) food items that adventurous foodies will likely enjoy. Don't be ashamed, don't be self conscious. It's the ballpark. Have fun. Live a little and take a shot at some of these items. Even if it cuts about 20 years off your life as I likely did. read more

I love this stadium! There's so much to look at & so many food/drink options to choose from. It's huge & it was built to block out some of the heat & that definitely helps. Also, I've never been to a baseball game that has a pool in it! So cool, I can't wait to come back! read more
