We had chase do our floors and stairs and there are several things that you should understand before doing business with them. First, they DO NOT do finish work. This means that if you have your stairs done, you will need to hire a separate contractor to come in and do the trim work, nosing, handrails, etc. Also, they do not offer wood slats that cover then entire tread. They will need to be capped on the sides and the ends with a material that doesn't match the wood in the middle of the tread. Second, you will need to hire someone to come in behind them and do paint and touch up work. Changing out wood floors is a messy business and Chase did not offer to clean up the damage (scrapes mostly) to our sheet rock and floor boards. Finally, you will need to proceed carefully. After several conversations with "the boss" none of our issues were corrected and we had to hire several additional contractors at our own expense to finish the job. read more

Well let me start with this. I wanted to get the Samoan hardwoods but the representative who I was working with showed me the bamboo models they had available. I instantly loved them. The process was smooth for us. Within a couple weeks the install had been done. Couple of issues afterward but they came back out and made everything perfect. My 10 year old son and a group of his friends could have done a better job installing the carpet and hardwood flooring in our new home than these morons did. Our hardwood stairs not only look like absolute crap (crooked cuts, different sized abnormal spaces between pieces) but they also left SEVERAL nail heads sticking out that sliced open the heels of unsuspecting victims that were merely just walking up and down the stairs (yes, we like to go barefoot in our home) After inspecting each step and finding nails, chunks of wood missing, rough, uneven cuts and spaces and gaps that look like crap, I called our builder, who in turn, called the owner, Chris. He immediately sent out a van full of assholes to stand around my house while ONE guy showed me how to use some kind of marker to fix blemishes. He also nail punched the many nails that were sticking up and put putty (that has since dissolved) over the exposed and now flush, nailhead. A marker, really? Big chunks of wood missing and the asshole show ME how to "fix it" with a marker? Our carpet has visible cut lines through the center of each room, HORRIBLE looking transitions and is warping and coming up in many places. Do NOT use these guys!! Absolutely horrible experience. Too much money and for lack of a better word, they act like a bunch of douchebags. I can happily provide photos of the crappy job this company did throughout my home. I wish I had the option of giving them zero stars. Really bad experience. The little guy that works at the 360 location thinks that he is way too good to help you. I think he has a serious case of Napoleon complex. For gosh sakes, if you want help from this little puke you better not be wearing sneakers and workout clothes. He actually told me to go buy from Travis Tile or Floor and Decor BOTH times I went into this location. I have a Groupon that I already paid for. He figures he has my money I guess. How does he know I wasn't going to spend over the Groupon amount (which I was)? I told him I needed 120 sq/ft of tile for a fireplace. He gave me the installed price per sq/ft. I told him I needed it priced without installation. He said you HAVE to have it installed. Here is exactly what the Groupon said: " * For $159, you get $500 worth of products and/or services. Chase Carpets fills unadorned foot space with hardwood, ceramic tile, natural stone, carpet, and laminate flooring. Do-it-yourselfers can take home enough supplies (or have them delivered for a $45 fee, not included in the Groupon) to fill rooms with ITS inter ceramic tiles ($300 for 144 square feet or $500 for 250 square feet), or you can choose from the more than 1,000 unique patterns of ceramic tile and natural stone flooring Chase Carpets offers." Here is the conversation that took place: Puke: "We are an installation business." Me (internally): Really, then why the heck do you have a showroom of special order tile?!?!?!?!? Puke: "I can't get my guys to install it for less that 150 sq/ft 'in this economy.' " Me: "You're telling me I could buy the tile if I have your guys install it." Puke: "Yes." Me: "So there is a minimum purchase?" Puke: "No." Me: "So why can't I buy the tile and install it myself if you can't do it if less than 150 sq./ft" Puke: "It's not my rule. Did you ever check out Floor and Decor or Travis Tile?" Me: "I want to buy THIS tile from THIS store. Puke: "You can't." Me: "Does your boss know that you send everybody to Floor and Decor or Travis Tile?" Puke: "Yes. He told me to. We are too busy to deal with these types of special orders." Me: "So you don't need my business?" Puke: "Nope." Me: "Had you considered that I might come back in the future for a larger order?" Puke: -silence- Me: "Can you please write down the product info and price on a piece of paper for me?" Puke: "What's the point? I won't write the order." Me: "You have pushed me to my limit." Be careful with these guys. Make sure you have everything in writing, including exactly what you are buying and any warranty. There are different grade levels of flooring, so make sure the contract is specific. Then double check the boxes before you let them install. We did not do this when we moved in a few years back. Lo and behold, the wood floor we have is not what it should have been. When we asked Chase to extend the wood floor to another part of the house, nothing would match. It would seem that a sub-par tavern grade floor was put in the first time, though they never admitted anything. (We learned this from the floor company that was able to help us correct as best they could what Chase had done). Also, the carpet we had put in is of poor quality. Again, check the grade. And then check what they install. Get it all in writing. We didn't do our homework and paid the price. Hopefully this advice will help you. read more

The 2nd star is only because the finished work seems to be fine. But based on service, I would have gone with 1 star. So, I bought a Groupon for carpet stretching -- maybe those of us with coupons don't merit good service? -- and I called to set up the appointment. First, I couldn't set up the appointment before faxing in my Groupon. With every other Groupon I have purchased, the number on the Groupon has been sufficient. Annoying, but ok. Then, I can only talk to one employee about the appointment for carpet stretching -- and apparently she is out of the office on a regular basis. So, we get the appointment set up. Good to go, right? Hmm...I call back a week before my appointment (had to wait awhile because the company has been "overwhelmed" by Groupons) to ask about furniture moving, and I'm quoted a certain minimum price for moving furntiture. Okay...but while on the phone, the woman has to verify my information for the appointment...and it's wrong. So, we fix it. Appt day: I'm given an appointment window of 3 hours during which they will show up. When I've waited 1.5 hours, I call...just in case. Get a call back (from the same employee I've dealt with the whole time), and she's "so glad" I called -- because she needs my ADDRESS and PHONE NUMBER. Seriously? She says -- again -- that she's been just "overwhelmed" with Groupons. (Um, then why did you sell so many?) She says she'll look into where the crew is and call me "right back." Ten minutes later, I call back. SHE'S GONE FOR THE DAY. Luckily, the crew shows up without her. Okay. So, they walk around and then quote me a price for moving furniture...totally not what the woman on the phone told me, but it's less, so...okay. Then, the crew is wrapping up -- and I'm suddenly told I should be paying in cash? WHAT? Got by with a check, but...I was never told this would the case, and it seems...um, sketchy. Never consider this company!! -How hard is it to sell and install flooring? For a $12,000 job, one would expect a little common courtesy and (at the very least) a hint of communication, but I guess Chase Flooring has other things to do. Even the communication between the employees was a joke! This is a crap company hiding in the shadows of a decent showroom! ...they get an 'F' in customer service and a low 'C' in installation. If you're looking to upgrade your home with new flooring, look elsewhere if craftsmanship in installation is at all important. Horrible. I recommended Chase to my customer because I know they have a decent selection of nice carpet. They stood my customer up twice on install. No show. No call, both times. They still have no returned any of their calls regarding the issue. Absolute horrible customer service! I look like a fool for recommending them! This is the most dishonest retail store I have ever experienced. I had called the store to price a custom Shaw area rug. I asked do you all do custom area rugs "yes we do", I gave measurements, rug style and color. Was called back from sales person Diana and was given quote. Told her I needed to speak with my husband but the price sounded good. She called back to follow up before I called back. My husband and I went to the Lakeline Mall location to make the purchase on a Friday. She wrote the deal up, took our payment information, we signed and thought the deal was done stating it would be ordered on Monday. I called the following day on Saturday to make a change to the order by canceling a runner and spoke to Phil, he said he would take care of it. Diana called on Tuesday to confirm changes and was told that it would be ordered that day. Received a new invoice via email reflecting price change that was marked ORDERED with the date. Fast forward to Saturday- I receive a phone call from Diana stating "I am really sorry and I know that this sounds weird but we are not in the rug business any longer". What? I went by the store to pick up a copy of the invoice since our information was on it and my confidence in this company dropped to zero. Spoke to Phil, sales manager and he stated that this was a recent change that Diana was not aware of and they do not sell custom area rugs any longer because their customers have been unhappy with the finished products stating the last 2 went bad so the owner of the company said it wasn't worth it. Okay fine, a week of time wasted and hours at their store. I called the company the following week just to speak with a manager to complain that they wasted my time and why did a week pass without someone calling me. Explained the above to Lori. She was perplexed stating they do sell custom area rugs. She said she would get to the bottom it. She called back stating that Diana misquoted the price so instead of admitting her fault she went to her manager Phil and he directed he to lie to us with this story. So sad. Lori did offer to help and repriced the rug but it was so much more expensive then the original quote. She stated this was with a 20% discount because of the experience but when I received the quote it was only a 10% discount. I thought maybe more could have been done then that. I eventually let her know we were not going to buy from them but if I could still speak with a manager to make them aware of this experience. She said sure but I never received a call back. We recently used Chase Carpets to replace some of our hardwood floors that were damaged due to a water leak. We have also used Chase in the past for repair of hardwoods. The repair team that does the work are professional and have a great deal of expertise. One would never know that we have had hardwoods replaced! They are clean and are happy to always come back to make it right, if for any reason, you are not happy. We worked with Guy Ventimiglia in sales, and he was a joy to work with. He was responsive and professional and follow-up to ensure that the work was done to our satisfaction. We will use Chase for all future repairs, if needed. We will also look to Chase first for any new flooring needs. I would highly recommend them! read more

Their "life time warranty" is a joke and a fraud. I had 14 tiles that Chase installed crack and they refused to honor their warranty. None of the builder installed tiles have had any issues in my house. Not only that, but they then wanted to charge me $1500 to replace the tiles... 3 times what other companies quoted me for the repair work. Chase refused to give me a detailed quote on how they came up with that ridiculous amount. read more

If I could give this company a negative stars review I would. We had hardwood floors installed 3 years ago and within a year more than half of the boards had started chipping. We contacted Chase Flooring Group to fix them since according to their website they have a "Lifetime Warranty". After filing a claim to have them fixed we waited months with no response. We finally find out the claim was never filed and started again. Over a year later, the boards had not been fixed, and they are saying they will not honor the warranty because it was our dogs fault. We were directed to buy these boards by their sales rep BECAUSE we have dogs!!! After giving up on that and puring asking them to replace two boards because the wood was completely chipped off the top of the floor about an 1/8 of an inch down, they still would not fix them because they say it is our dogs. I have had hardwood floors and dogs all my life and never had an issue. After their guys arrived to fix the boards, I called to talk to the owner about why we were being charged to which he did not answer and I left a voicemail. Within 15 minutes the guys there received a call from the owner (Kris Chase) telling them to leave unless they are paid now. He did not call me to discuss my complaints, purely called his guys and told them to leave. I have never paid too much attention to reviews as mostly only angry people write them (which is true), but I would pay attention to this one if I were you considering most of these reviews are from newly installed clients. I was happy with my service and product too for the first 6 months, but then the products defects showed and the company refused to stand by their work and the product they sold me. If there is ever a review you listen to, listen to this one as hardwood floors are not cheap and I would hate for you to pay $10,000 or more like I did and be left with a terrible product, terrible customer service, and an owner who does not value his customers or their time. read more

Unlike most of the reviews, my husband and I had a great experience with Chase Carpets and dealing with Phil. We just moved to the Lakeway area and we painted and carpeted the entire house 5400 square feet. My husband flew in to Austin from So Cal with samples of the different carpet I wanted in different areas. Phil was accommodating and had good dialogue with me. They installed the carpet while we were still in So Cal and they did a great job. When we arrived in our home two weeks ago, I was truly impressed with the job they had done while we were still in California. read more

Chase flooring has changed - and not for the better. We selected Chase Flooring to complete major floor replacement (tiling and wood) because they had previously done a good job with two earlier jobs. This time, we were shocked at the deterioration in their service and quality. Examples include: 1) A sales person who confused the materials and provided the incorrect initial order and bid; 2) A second salesperson who measured the rooms and stairs incorrectly - which led to a shortage of materials half way through the job; 3) A business office that charged off on the entire job after only a portion was completed and prior to the delivery of the materials (without our knowledge or prior approval); 4) An installation crew(s) that required redirection to perform an acceptable installation (including poor baseboard placement and caulking); 5) Failure to inform us that the ceiling below the job might be damaged - and while they did send a handyman to repair, the final product is cosmetically flawed as he did not texture to match the surrounding areas; 6) A lack of responsiveness by ownership - while a mid-level manager did stay "involved" repeated efforts to speak with Mark Chase were ignored; 7) and finally When I inquired about deep scratches in the wood, I was told to go to "Home Depot" to buy a touch up kit. All in all, we were markedly disappointed and will not use this firm again. Buyer beware - read the contract, don't charge your order (to avoid having them collect payment prior to delivery of product or even partial completion) and CHECK your order to assure that you have enough product to complete the job. read more

Purchased a Groupon with intention of getting carpets stretched. I contacted Chase several times and was always directed to leave a message, which I did a few times with no call back. I didn't pay attention to the expiration date and it expired. Luckily, Groupon's policy is that even after expiration the original amount paid can still be applied to a purchase. I contacted Chase again today to arrange for the carpet to be stretched and was again directed to voicemail, and had to insist on speaking to a person. Finally getting someone on the line, I faced questioning about WHY I wanted my carpet stretched, and when I mentioned the groupon was told it was expired and would not be honored. Even after bringing up the Groupons policy of applying the purchase amount and that I wanted to pay for the services I was told they would not honor it. Trish was not interested in my business and made that very clear. I immediately contacted groupon and told them the situation and they refunded my money. I am so impressed with groupon and how they know how to treat customers. Now I just need to find another place to stretch my carpet. read more

We had 6 rooms of different carpet replaced by Chase in August. The installers were on time, polite and did a good job. Through no fault of Chase, 4 of the rooms had defective carpet. They reordered the carpet, arrived to re-install in November (we had everything packed up and moved out of the rooms since August waiting on the new carpet), and it was also defective. They said they would reorder it and we could have it in before Thanksgiving. I called the week they said the carpet would be in to schedule another install, but they hadn't reordered the carpet. They then reordered the carpet. We made an appt to install in mid-December. They didn't show up to install. I called them. They said we should have received a call canceling the appt, but we didn't. (Everything still packed and moved out of rooms.) Almost Christmas. We said we wanted the carpet and our money back at this point. Keith said we wouldn't get all the money back but he would see what he could do about a discount. We wanted our house back in order for Christmas. Keith said we could choose something they had in stock. We did based on his assurance that it was better carpet than what we had originally chosen. After installation we noticed that it was lower quality carpet than we paid for. We took both samples to a third party carpet expert, who confirmed. Chase said they paid more for the carpet that was installed, so they wouldn't give us any refund. The carpets were different manufacturers, so comparing price is not legitimate. Many phone calls and e-mails have gone unanswered, including to Marc Chase, the owner, to hopefully work something out. We are disappointed by their unwillingness to work with us.
