I've been going to Chase Tire for a few years now. Recently I noticed a screw in my on of my fro t tires so I bright the car down to Josh. Had the front tire plugged and upon leaving I herd a slight clicking driving away from their shop. Turns out there was a second mail they didn't see or that I picked up at their shop - which lead to the rear tire going flat the following Sunday. I contacted them the following Monday to address this. Then the front tire started making a ton of vibration. That's when I noticed it had not been balanced after they installed the plug. I brought the tire back to have it balanced abs their tech never checked air pressure so after leaving a 3 time the car still felt funny so I check air pressure- every tire was at a totally different PSI ranging from 25 on the tire recently balanced up to 38 on the tire we had just replaced. I tried to address this with Josh abs explained that due to them allowing the car to leave without being balanced & not at the correct pressure the tire wore improperly. They agreed abs offered to help replace the tire. They promised me the world at the time, then as weeks drew on Josh kept not taking my calls, would not return a call or message. Then once I got him on the phone one time they said I had to buy the new tire, abs they would offset it with an oil change. HELLO?? You can't get a tire balanced and set the air pressure or even remember to put a valve cap on - why would I let you touch my motor ?? At one point I could have had the tire replaced under roadside protection abs called Josh to try and arrange this. I finally got Josh on the phone and he said the owners would not cover the tire and I was told they cannot offer me service any longer refusing to stand behind their poor work quality and lack of attention to detail. Due to this I will be filling a formal complaint with the Bureau of Automotive repair - it's California law that your required to check all air pressure on tires before a car leaves a shop. In the end this would have cost Chase nothing if this had been taken care of through roadside, instead they felt it needed to do me dirty and tell me to go away after I've been a solid customer for years. Where to begin. They took in my van quickly, tried to fix one issue, didn't have the parts. Another day passed, they got the parts, didn't fully fix the problem, and broke the speedometer cable and a light connection while attempting to fix it, as well as permanently scratched the dash when trying to pry it open. I had to ask them to also fix the cable they broke, at which point they didn't route it where it should go, but left it hanging, which meant I had to have it replaced again shortly after that. In summary, if you have a bit of an older vehicle, I'd look elsewhere. read more

Heard a weird sound coming from a tire driving down the freeway this morning, started to panic, so pulled off and just so happened to spot this place upon exiting. I pulled in and asked if they can help me figure out what's going on. Got a flat in Sacramento, and couldn't drive all the way back home on the spare. I just yelped a nearby tire place, and was blown away with the quality of service I got here. I was able to pull in with no appointment and they got my flat tire patched up and installed for a very reasonable price. Great service, I went to jury duty this morning, then when it came to lunch time went to leave and my freaken tire was flat. Way to change my mood for the day. Anyway so I call Verizon road side, the set my expectation for a hour wait, the guy showed up in 5 minutes! (: then I look on Yelp for a tire shop. I find his place show up and they immediately take my car back and fix my tire (which I totally didn't think it was fixable) then they gave me an awesome deal for 2 or 4 tires. So I will defiantly be coming back to purchase all 4 tires soon! Great service, everyone was friendly, and the building is clean. Couldn't of asked for this worse situation to get completely changed around !! I had 2 hour lunch for jury duty, I'm all done with my tire and I still have a hour and some change left!! I took my car in this morning (with my doughnut tire on it) to get my flat tire checked out. The guy took a look and couldn't find anything with the naked eye, so he took it into the back to the shop to take a look with his diagnostic air equipment; he found the hole and said it would be about 10-15 minutes to patch up. Total time from my arrival, I was there less than 1/2 hour and it only cost me $25. The waiting room area was nice and the staff up front and the guy who worked on my car were pleasant and helpful. This place was recommended to me by a shop by my house upon my request, as I called them first out of location convenience and they informed me that they don't do tires. Chase is a few blocks from my work, so that was convenient for me, especially since I was thinking I'd need to drop off my car and come back later in the day. My only critique is that my tire went flat yesterday afternoon, so when I called Chase, the employee on the phone told me that the tire guy was out sick so we'd have to schedule for today instead; it seems it would help their business to have a back-up person for this type of work. In my case, I wasn't in a hurry since I had my doughnut tire on securely and only had to drive a short distance. She scheduled an appointment for me for this morning at 7:45am (their tire guy actually comes in at 6:30am, so this place is great if you're wanting to drop your car off before work). I will definitely go back (though hopefully I won't need to anytime soon!). read more

Beware - my wife was charged $45 each for two tire patches, which is at least 2x the going rate. (I've paid $15 and zero in the last year in Sacramento, and never more than $20 even in SF and LA.) Think twice before visiting this "family establishment." read more

I stopped in this morning because my low tire pressure light came on. The gentleman at this shop were very helpful and filled my tires. I was thinking that I needed new tires for this vehicle as my son is taking it back to school in couple of weeks. When I asked for a recommendation and as much as they would have liked to sell me a set of tires the response was I have 40% life left on the tires. Stopped in to get a tire swapped from one rim to another for a spare. They were super nice and helpful, and for on it right away. Only took about 20 mins, and I was good to go. Nice little downtown shop with friendly, helpful people. They do a few things here, tires and brakes and other auto repair, as well as glass service (including mobile service) and detailing. Prices are very reasonable, it was refreshing shop experience for sure. read more

I took my car in on Monday morning with a loud squeek coming from the front brakes. Dennis was on duty and told me it was most likely a brake indicator and it was probably time for new pads which I had figured was the case. He gave me a reasonable estimate and said he could have the car done in a couple of hours as he had to order the parts. He called less than 2 hours later to say the car was finished and ready to pick up. And it was less than the original estimate, so I was quite pleased. The best part is that not only were my brakes in need of replacement, but my bumper and a curb had recently met and the curb won, causing my bumper to sag. When I returned to the shop to pick up my car after the brakes were fixed, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Dennis had fixed my bumper too, at no additonal charge! I was impressed with the estimate, the short time taken, and the service. I hope I don't have to go back for a while, but I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in need of tire and brake service. read more

I suffered with a slow leak from one of the tires on my minivan for a while because I didn't want to go through the hassle of bringing it to a shop and either waiting around or leaving it there for hours. Finally I decided that I'd gotten enough exercise with my bike pump, and found that Chase Tire & Brake was conveniently located near where I live in Midtown. I called before stopping in, wondering when they'd be able to check out the leaky tire, and was told that they could look at it first thing the next morning. When I stopped by the next morning, they immediately got to work diagnosing a couple of leaking bulges in the carcass of my tire, and said that it was unsafe to repair (an assessment that seems accurate to me). They offered to sell me a used tire in a slightly different size, but I decided to go to Wal-Mart to get a full set of four instead (and told them that). I was in and out in probably 15 minutes. The best part is that they didn't charge me anything for their diagnosis, even though they'd removed the wheel from the vehicle and wet it down while looking for the leak(s). It was a relatively minor amount of time and effort on their part, but their diagnosis was worth more than zero dollars, so it's cool that they did it for free. read more

This place is not closed! Show them some love because they are great. I stopped in Friday morning around 8am after calling to see if they could fit me in last minute for a "check tire pressure " notice on my dashboard (stressful as I drive my baby to daycare almost daily) and they were super professional and fit me in no problem. Their office is clean as comfortable and they had the quickest service. I was in and out within 35-40 minutes and they fixed my tires' pressure at no charge. They told me I Might want to replace my tires soon (which I already knew and planned to do the near future) but they did not pressure me into buying tires then and there. I will Definitely come back and get my tires fixed here in the future. read more

I brought my miata into the guys at chase when I discovered an overnight flat while visiting a friend in midtown. They aired up my tire and found a big hole in the sidewall, rendering my tire useless rubber. Not only did they not charge me for anything, they recommended a great tire shop (lucky tires) to go get a cheap used replacement so that I could drive back to the bay without worrying about being on a donut. I was in and out in 10min and experienced excellent customer service! Don't hesitate to go see these guys. read more

Came here to have them install new control arms and do an alignment on my 2007 Chevy HHR. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the waiting room was clean with comfortable couches to hang out on. My control arm blew out and my wheel was pretty much laying on the ground. I was having difficuly getting my truck over to Chase before they were supposed to close. Sean was really cool. He actually stayed after hours to make sure my truck would be locked in the gate over night. I had assumed that the otherside may be just as bad so I asked him to take a look. He confirmed that several parts should be replaced and gave me a VERY reasonable estimate. Sean kept the bad parts to show me what he had replaced (they definitely needed to be replaced). He really made me feel like he had my best interests in mind. After using several terrible mechanics. I will certainly be using this shop moving forward. read more

I came to Chase in a panic just before having to drive 2 hours to work. I had a flat tire, and needed it fixed fast. I was due for a new set, but didn't have the time to get 4 tires put on. Not only was Shaun a nice guy, but he didn't try to gouge me, and even helped me troubleshoot a quick, easy and cheap solution by putting on a used tire for a fraction of the price for the mean time, AND I was out in 30 minutes. Once in awhile you find a great shop. Found one here. Just rolled up with a BMW steering rack boot I had ordered earlier but decided not to tackle as I needed special crimpers and a tie rod puller. Left the car and had it back within a few business hours. Fair shop rate and time to complete job. Forgot the name of the guy that I talked to, but he was knowledgeable and definitely no BS. Will be going back for other wheel/alignment/brake work now that I found an honest and fair priced shop. Kind of hard to find--but it's the same shop as Hayes Brothers Auto Glass read more

I brought my 2015 Mazda MX-5 to Chase Tire & Brake/Hayes Brothers Auto Glass to have them install an aftermarket suspension upgrade kit from Flyin' Miata, which included new springs, shocks. and sway bars. The struts had to be assembled using the included springs and shocks, plus some stock parts from the existing suspension that had to be drilled out or otherwise modified to fit. It was a full-day job, and definitely one that I didn't want to take on myself. I started calling local shops, and I was a little surprised when these guys said they could fit me in the next day. Sean the mechanic did an awesome job, and the car now handles like a go-cart, as a Miata should. Cornering is now perfectly flat, with no perceptible body roll. Steering is more responsive to inputs, and overall the ride quality is actually improved. It's like a brand-new car! The owner even reached out to me the next day to make sure I was completely satisfied. I am. Thank you! read more
