I had such a great experience with Folsom Tires and Wheels. I was really stressed because I had never dealt with a popped tire before, and it happened on my dad's new car while he was out of the country. Ahmad, the owner, completely turned the situation around for me. Even though they were clearly busy, he went out of his way to track down the exact tire I needed, which was not easy to find at all. I have an older pickup that desperately needed new tires but I didn't want to spend the money on new tires since I don't expect the truck to last that much longer. I contacted Folsom Tire & Wheels through Yelp regarding used tires at about 10 PM and got a response within a couple minutes. We exchanged a few details and the owner gave me a very good price on a set of four used tires. The price was about a quarter of what a set of the cheapest new tires would cost me elsewhere. I made an appointment a couple days later and was told it would be about one hour to do the job. When I arrived they showed me a matched set of four used tires before they installed them and it they still had a good bit of tread on them, more than I was expecting. About 45 minutes later the job was done and I was on my way. I walked into the garage to ask where the office was, the man who requested my keys, did not say hello and just took keys without a smile and walked back into the garage. I found the office and the owner or manager was also very cold and aloof and was busy on the phone. I sat down and waited. When all was done, I was given keys and the printout and I asked if all went well w alignment, because he wasn't going to tell me anything I suppose. My jeep had been trembling at the wheel and I took it in for a quick check and alignment. He just responded, yeah yeah all is good and took payment and didn't say thank you or bye. Two days later my jeep began to shake again at the wheel after going over a bump on the freeway. Definitely not calling them, but they didn't fix the issue, so now I have to go elsewhere. I was in an emergency situation after a tire company in Jackson, told me that I would need to replace not only my tire, but also the rim because it was cracked. When I phoned this company in advance, the owner let me know that they may be able to repair the rim. I drove an hour to go to see them because it's a Saturday in many tire shops are not even open or available during the weekends. Not only are they professional and know what they're doing. They are also fair on their prices and have quality repair. I was so impressed at how they treated me as a woman. They were very respectful and professional and know what they're doing. They showed me that my rim in fact was not cracked. It was bent. So they're also very honest on top of everything else. In addition, my tire actually was fine. They tested it and filled it up and I ended up driving it for five hours back to Morro Bay with no issues whatsoever I went from a situation where I was thinking I'm gonna have to have a hotel for three days in order to wait for a rim to be ordered and then these guys saved me and I was able to make it home today because of them I highly recommend Folsom Tire and Wheels. Thank you for the team there who truly understood the nature of my tire situation where another company would have had me waste money on hotel stays for days because it was Sat. Would leave a 0 star if I could. Terrible treatment of customers. They threw my rim on the ground with no remorse or care that it's not their property and the excuse was that it's the backside of the rim so it's "ok" I've been here several times and it's always trash service and terrible balancing. I had to push the worker to balance my tire and rim correctly and he was trying to tell me I brought him a "used" tire when it's brand new never used. If you have a pull or other alignment issue it is not likely to be fixed at Folsom tire and wheel, though they will take your money Three cars had this problem after "alignments" at Folsom tire and wheel; when I took those vehicles to les Schwab on Bradshaw, all vehicles drove perfectly straight down the road. Cost me an extra $50 per alignment compared to the $75 charged by Folsom tire and wheel, but they aligned the cars properly the first time. One was a Toyota and two were Mercedes, which are not hard to align. I have look into California Consumer Protection and this is a Deceptive Trade Practice clearly a Bait and switch tactics. As per Consumer Privacy right Law I am sure that I will file a complaint from this department and anyone out there that have been deceive by this business could file a complaint. There is also a consumer watchdog that look for this deceptive business that will file a class action law suit. Came in for an alignment and they said $60. Cool. Then when the time came, they said it's additional $40 to adjust camber. Why more money aside from the $60? I tell them no thanks, and they still want to charge me the $60 for just looking at it and not doing a single thing. Charged as much for the installation as the price of the tires. Over torque all the wheels, never using a torque wrench, using the damn air gun. All the wheels had about 120 lbs. of torque when the manual calls for 80 pounds of torque. over inflated all the tires, never looked at the placard on the drivers door jam. horrible experience.
