If you are heading to Louisville this is the place to stay! Missy and John have a beautiful Inn. Loved Reese and Honey too! Location is a short drive to the city and surrounding areas. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. From the time we arrived Missy made us feel right at home. The Inn is beautiful and decor is awesome. We stayed in the Angels Share room. Soaking tub and the rain shower were great. Loved the evening "sip and sweet" and visiting with Missy who is very knowledgeable about Bourbon. Morning breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. We had the most amazing stay at Chateau Bourbon, I cannot recommend them highly enough. My husband and I are very excited to go back again when we can. The location is wonderful, in a very unique and special neighborhood with a great mix of restaurants, little shops, tree lined streets, just beautiful. Everything about the inn made for a delightful getaway, from spending time relaxing together on the beautifully inviting front porch, to the sips and sweets happy hour generously put on by Missy and John (Missy even made me a thoughtful and delicious mocktail, as I do not enjoy alcohol, a very appreciated touch), to the perfectly decorated, large, inviting rooms of the inn. I loved the decor, clean, not cluttered, fresh, and lovely. It stood out to both of us how clean the inn is. It is in immaculate shape. There's a nice pantry of snacks and drinks available at all times. Our room had a wonderful en suite bathroom with a large shower and a great shower head with good water pressure. We had a private balcony off our room that was a delightful way to relax in the morning. The bed was probably as comfortable of a bed as I have ever slept on and the linens felt luxurious and managed to be both inviting and beautiful at the same time. Plenty of linens to adjust to your personal comfort level and we appreciated the individually zoned HVAC system that made it easy to keep our room comfortable. There are many special touches woven into the stay at the inn, each one designed to enhance your getaway. The 3-course breakfast the next day was a great way to begin the next stage of our journey. We had a truly amazing getaway and could not have enjoyed our time there more. John and Missy were the perfect hosts and there was not a single detail left to chance. Every space was beautifully decorated and inviting. The breakfasts were exquisite. And the suite we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. We also learned a ton about bourbon during a tasting with Missy which we really enjoyed! In addition to the B&B, we loved the neighborhood and enjoyed strolling through the streets there. We just returned from Chateau Bourbon and I have to share it was hard to leave! From the moment we stepped through the door we felt like VIPs. The B&B (décor, interior and exterior rooms) and overall experience (Breakfast, Happy Hour) exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect especially if you are driving during the day and returning to the B&B for the night. You can easily park your car and walk to several restaurants. We dined at two restaurants, within 5 minute of walking and the service and food were excellent. What made this B&B experience so exceptional was the attentiveness of our hosts, Missy and John . We had my niece's bridal shower here today. The B and B is beautifully decorated with all things bourbon and Kentucky. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious and homemade. There was a beautiful front porch with seating and a lovely courtyard with more seating. I know my niece was extremely pleased with her shower. I will definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a place to host an event. It would be fun to stay there overnight as a guest. It's located in Norton Commons and there are cute shops within walking distance. I highly recommend Chateau Bourbon for your next event or a fun overnight getaway. read more

Oh my goodness!! Where do I begin?!? Chateau Bourbon is a must! From the very beginning to the very end of our stay, we were treated with the ultimate care! Due to the storm, we were arriving a few hours early and there was no hesitation in allowing us early check-in. Happy Hour was fun and delicious. Breakfast was beyond amazing- it was our birthday and we were treated to the yummiest candlelit waffles with the birthday song. Our room was so comfortable- we did not want to leave! I was lucky enough to check this place out for a bridal shower recently. I was blown away by the attention to detail with decor and the overall "Southern Hospitality" feel that Chateau Bourbon B&B exudes. Missy is overly sweet and it shows. I enjoyed the bourbon bar that she had available. It was a make your own drink type set up complete with lots of different bourbons, a handful of different fruit juices, and fancy drinkware. She made lots of tasty finger foods for us to munch on while we celebrated our friend and wowza was it all good! I especially found her spreads: benedictine, beer cheese, and pimento cheese to be amazing! She also made the best strawberry cake that I have ever had! I am not a fan of Norton Commons in general...but I can definitely see why people would like to come and stay here. I was only able to check out one of the rooms that would be available for rent if you stayed the night here and from the looks of that as well as the rest of house I can safely safe it would be a luxury worth dipping into for a special occasion. read more

My sister and I stayed with our mom as a part of her Mother's Day present and wow! We could not be happier with our stay. From the moment we arrived, Missy was welcoming and attentive. The house is absolutely beautiful. There is so much attention to detail and every single room is gorgeous. The back patio was our favorite with wooden swings and beautiful flowers. The happy hour was wonderful and the breakfast the next morning absolutely blew us away. Three courses that all could have stood alone as their own meal. Luxury, this is the best word to describe Chateau Bourbon. I had such a great experience staying there. Everything is just so well done. I instantly fell in love with the style and splashes of bourbon culture throughout. The attention to detail and all of the unique touches made this such a fun stay. Each room has its own theme. I stayed in the room with a wood headboard that was floor to ceiling. It was so cool, I couldn't help but wish I had one at home. There was some nice touches that made the stay even better. Outside they put up swings that were made out of bourbon barrels and a gas fire pit that made a perfect location for an evening hangout. They even have a large porch swing in the front just calls to you to relax. Needless to say, it was a great stay. They are on the same block as several nice eateries. I couldn't recommend it enough if you are looking for a luxurious place to visit. To be honest it is so nice, it is a destination within itself. read more

Our son and his new wife gifted my husband, myself and her parents a weekend (with them) as a thank you for their wedding. We all met at Chateau Bourbon on a cold weekend in February. Norton Commons was a very pleasant surprise, with all their shops and restaurants within walking distance of the B and B. John and Missy are fabulous hosts, and Carol, Missy's mom, is lovely. The entire building is comfortable and charming, fully stocked for the comfort of its guests. Unfortunately we weren't able to enjoy their courtyard because of the cold, wind and rain. So we stayed in and played cards and enjoyed drinks. The accommodations are extremely comfortable no matter which room you choose. Breakfast each day was delicious. We can't wait to come back, hopefully the weather will be better so we can enjoy the neighborhood and the courtyard at the chateau. read more

This Bed and Breakfast is so beautiful and charming! The owners (Missy and John) were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. The room we stayed in was decorated so well and everything was very clean. Missy is an excellent cook! We were served a delicious fruit cobbler with homemade vanilla bourbon ice cream for Happy Hour. This also came with a cleverly crafted bourbon cocktail. Breakfast was incredible including a homemade bourbon infused granola parfait, specially prepared eggs and cheese grits (some of the best I have ever had) and brioche french toast with bourbon maple syrup! I have stayed in a few Bed and Breakfasts; loving their romantic charm and coziness. So, when my husband and I took a last minute trip to the Bourbon Trail, we were determined to stay out of the city and in a B&B. Our search, being last minute, was a difficult one. Then, we both stumbled upon Chateau Bourbon, and they had ONE room left!!! The pics online were beautiful and the customer service, out of the gate, was phenomenal. We received a call from Missy (one of the lovely inn owners) to let us know the private bourbon tasting we had booked wouldn't be possible, as it was so last minute. However, there would be happy hour, with a specialty cocktail, upon our arrival. Yay! Missy and John and their 2 pooches were so welcoming and attentive, but also gave us our space. It was nice to spend time with them and hear their recommendations and stories about the neighborhood. By the way, this neighborhood is a dream! It is quintessential Southern. Everyone is so friendly and so much is within walking distance. The type The Inn is stunning! I couldn't stop taking pictures!! Everything is new and clean and decorated to perfection! We felt so comfortable; it was the perfect place to relax for a couple of days. I could go on forever, but just check it out for yourself. We were greeted at the door by both John and Missy. The place is luxurious for sure. We were excited to stay in the "Reserve" room. The evening was started off with my first Manhattan and a piece of the best chocolate cake I have ever had. I had planned the evening so that a few friends would meet us there so that we could show off our accommodations. After which we went out to dinner at one of the many close restaurants. When we got back my partner and I had champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries waiting for us in our room. This place is AMAZING! The minute we walked in, I knew I would LOVE it. It is decorated to perfection, every little details is perfect. I had the Angel Suite, which was the absolute best room! The deep bathtub and little balcony and the MOST comfortable bed. Missy was amazing, greeting us and showing us around and then cocktails and the best berry crumble for happy hour. The breakfast the next morning was what dreams are made of, bourbon granola, ham and eggs cups with grits and then banana bourbon coffee cake. The location is so cute as well. I would recommend this B&B wholeheartedly and without reservation. It was a completely immersive and excellent experience. The atmosphere was gorgeously appointed. We stayed in The Reserve room off the first floor and there was decor related to the Prohibition era with cool black and white prints. The bed was so soft like being in a cloud and had beautiful sheer curtains attached. The innkeeper Missy welcomed us with pumpkin ice cream and donut bread pudding delicious which we enjoyed while chatting on the porch with the bed swing. She brought bubble bath for my 7 year old so he could have fun in the sunken tub. Breakfast was tailored to my 7 year old who wanted chocolate chip pancakes and bacon which Missy happily let him help with in the kitchen. He couldn't have been happier. I found Chateau Bourbon online purely by accident let me state for the record but what a great mistake it was. I wasn't really looking for a place to stay but after viewing pictures of foods served there I was curious. What can I say? I am a foodie! The pictures of the rooms looked so gorgeous and they are accurate. Happy Hour was at 5 pm with a bourbon themed cocktail and a bourbon themed desert. We had Bourbon Sours and Bananas Foster. Let me state for the record I am not a bourbon person but Missy and John, our wonderful and awesome hosts, changed my mind! Dinner was a two minute walk down the street and there were several choices for whatever you wanted - Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Pizza. We chose the Tea Station and their food was wonderful. Our bed was so comfortable considering it was not our regular bed. Breakfast was bourbon themed and done in courses. We were stuffed by the time it was over. What a way to start our day. There was another couple from out of state and we were able to socialize easily with them and all six of us were into conversing. It was a great overnight getaway. Thank you Missy and John! We spent time over the Thanksgiving holiday at Chateau Bourbon while visiting nearby family. Sometimes traveling and staying away from over a holiday can feel cold and impersonal. My wife and I stayed at Chateau Bourbon this past weekend for our 1 year anniversary. We had an absolutely wonderful experience and will certainly be returning in the future! Location: Chateau Bourbon is in a great neighborhood with fantastic restaurants within .5 block of the house. We had everything we needed for our weekend getaway all within walking distance. To add, we needed a random item and there was a Target about 2 miles away. Premises: everything on the property is top notch; rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. There are a lot of fine details in this home that fit the bourbon theme. My wife and I were very impressed! Food and service: John, Missy, and Carol were so personable and took great care of us! The 3 course breakfast was outstanding each morning as were the cocktails and desserts in the evening. I had also ordered some wine, chocolates, etc. for the room and everything turned out perfect!
