Jen the proprietor was delightful and joined us for breakfast on our first morning, prepared by her. It was quite a spread. Just let her know what you want the night before and you get it and a whole lot more. We caught a glimpse of Jen's husband but it seems like Jen is the "out front" person. We are going to ride horses later today. We are not familiar with horses and have each only been on a horse once in our lives but we like trying new stuff. Jen has assured us there will be no galloping or cantering and will provide a lesson before we saddle up. It is Early April 12pm around 45 degrees. We moved our ride to 12pm so it would be a bit warmer. My wife rode Domino I rode Hank. We had a lot of fun. We actually trotted for a bit. Jen was great. Our room is cozy but large on the second floor with a constellation on the ceiling. A private bath with double sink. Very nice. If you like cats like we do you will love the place. There are 7 4 inside and 3 outside we met them all. Very friendly. There is one dog also a friendly fellow. The house was immaculate. We took a hot tub on our last evening here and it was very nice. The room was warm and inviting with a fireplace and treats for late night snacks. I enjoyed raising the blinds in the morning to let the sun in. Then, I grabbed a tea and sat on the front porch and took it all in. It was easy to nap in the recliner during the afternoon with the sun beaming down on me. Jen and her family are some of the most laid back, welcoming people I have met. The breakfasts were world class and delicious, made by Jen. I'm a city girl, and I was wary of going to an unfamiliar and very rural area, but as soon as I stepped foot into the bed & breakfast, I felt immediately at home. The first night I got there, it was pouring rain and I couldn't see well. I parked in front of the house and Tari kindly told me I could leave the car there until the morning and she showed me around and made me feel immediately at ease. Tari and Scott actually live off of a little road towards the back of the house, but they are within walking distance of the house and always accessible by phone if you need anything. The house is absolutely stunning and comforting, and it has all the amenities you could possibly need. Tari and Scott take great care of the house. It was always in immaculate condition. The furniture and fixtures are beautiful, and there is a fully stocked kitchen (you can take any of the food for the day free of charge--granola bars, crackers, fruit, deli meats, cheese, baked banana bread, bagels, tea, coffee, juice, soda, bottled water, wine, and more!). I practically ate an entire banana bread loaf that Tari baked during my stay because it was so delicious, and of course Tari and Scott will serve you a yummy breakfast every morning upon request. I had some of the best night's sleep in the room I stayed in too. Each room has its own thermostat and there was a comfy down blanket that I slept with every night for the three nights I was there. My drive to Miami U. each morning was less than 5 minutes, and every time I left the conference, I was excited to go back to the house! Tari and Scott are very kind and personable. They truly care about their guests' comfort and happiness. I highly recommend staying here over a hotel. The rates are comparable, and you get so much more from staying here. If I ever find myself in Oxford again, I will for sure stay here again.

Once we arrived, we knew we were in for a special weekend! Francesca and her husband were perfect hosts. Starting from the welcome emails I got, with suggestions for activities while we were there, to follow up emails asking if we had any special requests or needs. We stayed in the Gatsby room, which was elegantly furnished, and very peaceful. Next to our room was the community pantry, stocked with drinks, snacks, games, movies, and books if you desired. There were 3 other couples staying in the Inn while we were there, so we got to know them over the course of our weekend at meals and just relaxing around the house. Each room was tastefully decorated and unique, and the grounds were just lovely. We were treated to a delicious breakfast each morning, complete with coffee and fresh juice. I had responded to Francesca's email about a dietary restriction, and she made sure to supplement my meals so I wouldnt miss anything. I appreciated the extra attention, eve though I did not require anything special. Saturday night, we were lucky enough to enjoy dinner at the Paddock as well. Again, dinner was fantastic, and the company was even better. We really enjoyed laughing around the dinner table, and appreciating the laid back atmosphere that the hosts created. Sunday before we left, we got to spend some time chatting with the Innkeepers about their lives, and I could really see how much they care about each other and their guests. They truly enjoy the business, and meeting new people each week. If we find ourselves in LaGrange, KY again, or find that we could use a weekend away, the Pillow and Paddock will surely be on our short list. If you think you have seen darkness, drive the streets in LaGrange, KY at night. You ain't seen BLACK if you haven't see it here. So take a walk out in the enormous back yard and look at stars. You didn't know there were this many stars! And for a bite, there is The One Nineteen Restaurant (See my other Yelp review) only two and a half miles away. Our only regret about P&P is that we could only stay one night. Next time we will plan around spending several days here. This place is a destination in and of itself!

Beautifully decorated, with a queen bed and another room with a pull out. The bathroom is gorgeous and has a jacuzzi tube. There is also a living room area and a dining area with small fridge, sink and microwave. They don't do a hot breakfast, but have delicious breakfast supplies in the room for you (fruit, muffins, zucchini bread with chocolate chips, juice, milk, cereal, coffee, hot chocolate and oatmeal supplies). It was very private and relaxing. The windows look out over the horses in the paddock and you're welcome to enjoy their grounds. Definitely recommend this place!
