The ladies here are extremely talented and are so sweet! The owner was really great when I accidentally purchased the wrong product! They have excellent attention to detail! The stylists are great and the colorist sarah was extremely awesome! I had really dark hair and needed to go light and she colored my hair in a safe and efficient way. My color came out beautiful and my cut is even better! The salon was clean and had a great environment. I will anyways come here for my color and cuts! I got my first hair cut today at Cheveux and I was soo impressed! Go see Madonna, she is AMAZING!! I have super short hair that requires a lot of razor cuts and takes a long time, it's very easy to mess up. Before even starting she asked questions and gave suggestions based on my needs (how long do I want to take to fix my hair, what's good for my face shape etc). I am truely impressed and will be a loyal client from now on. Atmostphere was relaxed and felt at home. Very clean and not uptight. read more

I grew out my natural dark blonde/light brown hair since moving to Phoenix in 2014, in preparation for finding a salon in Phoenix that can take it back to blonde and maintain it. (I used to go to an amazing salon in Orlando). For the past 10 years I have used a protein reconstructor and Moroccan oil after each shampoo. My hair, while fine, was strong and in really good, shiny, healthy shape. I explained, in great detail, that I wanted a full micro-foil with light, medium and dark shades (dark shade would just be my natural color) all toned in the end. Usually, the process takes 4-6 hours and 400-500 foils. The stylist at this salon said no problem (they always say that, right?). About an hour later, she was done with the foils. She used bleach only, no mid-tone, and the sections were huge! Once she took the foils out and rinsed, she left to get a "treatment". No kidding! I reached back and my hair felt like absolute straw! NEVER, in all of my years of coloring (myself with a box and in salons) has my hair felt like that. It was absolutely destroyed! She applied the treatment, rinsed, and we headed back to the chair. She then blew it dry. I asked her to take a picture for my mother and it took her several minutes to arrange the hair so I couldn't see the huge streaks and chunks. (You can see in the photo how a section of my hair in the back was draped over my shoulder to help cover a large brown section on the side) When I left, my hair looked more salt & pepper than blonde. It was WAY overtoned. Just awful, especially for a couple hundred dollars. I should have refused to pay, but I've always felt odd doing that because I don't know if it's lack of training, laziness, or what caused the problem. Three weeks later I went to another salon where they spent 6 hours micro-foiling and color correcting. It's still not exactly as it should be, but at least I'm on the right track with a salon (Honeycomb Salon) that knows what they are doing and are willing to take the time to actually color hair correctly. read more

Completely ruined my hair. I had highlights done in a bright white color when I have brown hair. Not only was the color awful, she started the highlight an inch down my scalp AND was completely crooked so it looked like I already had roots. When I told her I could not leave looking like that she replied she meant to do that so she wouldn't burn my scalp. I understand a few centimeters but an inch is a bit unrealistic. Her "fix" was adding some dark low lights to the awful color and not fixing the placing of the highlights. I figured I'd cut my losses and go somewhere else to fix rather than having her try again for the third time. When I went to leave she still charged me full price AND charged me twice so i had to go back and get the second charge refunded when I noticed. Needless to stay I will never be back. read more

I had an appointment on Wednesday at 6:30 pm with Tawanda. By 10:00 am the next morning my thumb had already started to peel off. I was at a work event all day so I called on Friday morning and they said to come back at 6 pm and they will repair the nail. By the time I got there another nail had started to peel off. Tawanda did not clean off the old polish. She just reapplied polish to the nails until they were about an inch thick. By Sunday afternoon, all but 2 nails had lifted up from the nail at the tip and you could peel them off so easy that they were almost in one piece. I have gotten many gel mani's and most of them lasted a good 2 weeks. This one last maybe a few days and was the worst mani I have ever gotten. Not sure what products they use or who trained her but she definitely does not know how to do a gel manicure. My ped i is also starting to chip and she never clipped my nails or made sure they were all even before she applied the polish. What is most upsetting is that my daughter purchased a $30 GROUPON for a pedi and gel mani for me for Mother's Day. Definitely not worth $30....I can do a better pedi on my self. I have left 2 VM's for Nancy the owner but she has yet to call me back. I will not return to this place but if you do...make sure Tawanda does not do your nails. read more

My daughter and I went to Chateux Cheveau recently to get highlights and a hair cut. My daughter was going to be in a pageant about a week later so we wanted to get her highlights touched up in anticipation of the coming event. I can't remember what the hair dresser's name was that did our hair, but I was so upset by the time I left that I didn't even think about asking. She messed up on my daughter's highlights, making them look yellow (we had asked for her to match the color that was already in her hair- it was carmel blond). I might add it was cartoon character yellow. She ended up fixing them, so I thought, "okay, at least she fixed them." Then I let her continue on to my hair, which wasn't the best judgment call. She ended up using the wrong color! She apologized telling me that someone "switched the tube" on her. She ended up fixing it, but I was already upset. She didnt even comb out my wet hair! She blow dried it a little but never combed it. By that time we had been there for 6 hours! We got there at 1pm and left a little before 7pm. Then, the icing on the cake... she charged me for the color correction that she messed up on (charged me twice even-- for my hair and my daughters)! I was suprised, more like livid! I would never come back here. I have no words to describe the frustration and anger that was generated from that one visit. read more

The worst! This salon started out as a classy little place with expert stylists but has slowly deteriorated. They move around and do not tell scheduled clients nor apologize for inconveniences. Claudia is rude and apparently annoyed with working. She was ready to go postal when I showed up a half hour early to an appointment with my boyfriend (so that I wouldn't end up late). Claudia aggressively washed my hair and tried to demand that I take off my sweater (uhhh...?). She was cutting and styling my hair so briskly that she didn't even skip a beat after grazing my eye with a Chi iron! Lol It was crazy!! She was cold and unprofessional to my boyfriend also. All this after helping her coworker's clients find this dive when we were all standing around like idiots in front of their former location without even a note on the door. Who does that to ***people***let alone their business? Apparently Claudia isn't affected by a down-turn economy and does not have to show respect or self-restraint. If you like a stylist who doesn't forget that your hair is attached to your head, you will have better luck at Great Clips!! read more
