    Huge bonus here! I had special concerns and questions about my hair but didn't want to book an appointment and find out the hairdresser wasn't educated on my issues. So, they offer a 15-minute consultation where you can go in and have one of their hairdressers look at your hair, ask you questions and listen to your concerns. They they offer their solution. I have not been disappointed. Dina is a listener first. She asks the right questions, and tries, in all ways, to meet my needs. The shop is clean and attractive with an outside area should you want to wait in the shade. It's easy to find... right on Rural Road and Broadmor. If you want someone to "hear" you, I recommend this salon.

    My bangs were bothering me as they were at my nose. I made an appointment for a BANG TRIM. Not hard, except for Melissa... she was challenged, so she got another woman over to help, and she realized it was botched beyond repair. Come back in 3 weeks next it grows out and we can fix it. IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE A SIMPLE BANG TRIM WHY WOULD I COME BACK AGAIN?! They did not charge for the bang butchering and I offered to take Melissa which she declined. It will eventually grow out, but I told her I was going to a graduation party and well this is how [ get to look.

    If you are a male with medium to longer hair, and like your hair around the same length run if you get Melissa. She doesn't know how to stop cutting and I am starting to think she either one doesn't care about haircuts and puts minimum effort into them, or two simply doesn't care about my haircut. I've received a hair cut twice from her, first time was too short, but it grew out fine. The second time was completely butchered. She used clippers entire time, ignored my requests to ease up on it and in fact doubled down and cut my hair even shorter in the back and sides, when I specifically asked for layers. She only briefly used scissors, but continued to rely on the clippers. When her next appointment came she rushed me out didn't let me even see the sides or the back. I am going to a wedding this weekend with this hair.

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! From start to finish, this was the worst salon experience. It started by meeting the stylist Melissa, you could tell before she even started that she was done cutting hair for the day. I was excited because she had curly hair and I felt I was in good hands. Boy was I wrong. I explained that I wanted some body to my hair or a style--something to bring my hair back to life. I also was going in for a deep condition treatment in addition. She informed me that a gloss would be better. I said you know best let's do it. Another mistake, I should have just got the deep condition. I get my hair washed and glossed then head to the chair for the cut. From this point, I attempted to conversate with Melissa but it became like pulling teeth. It was obvious she wanted to be done. I even asked about curly hair and how to help maintain the curls. At one point she referred to curly hair with mousse in it as crusty, Melissa stated that they do not style hair but she would do it for me this once. Another mistake! When she had finished I was truly uncomfortable with my results. I was mortified to tell her I saw no difference in my hair. From that point, I paid and left. I went home and immediately took pictures of my hair. I attached the photos from after my salon visit. I thought to myself, maybe I need to style it myself to make it look better. The next day even after I styled it my hair looked the same. I called the salon the next day and informed them of my experience and that I wanted a refund to go to another salon to get the result I was looking for. I expressed my uncomfortablity in coming in. I did not want my hair touched again by anyone at the salon. I was told to give them a few days and they would respond to me. 5 days had passed by and I had still heard nothing. I called again and I was informed I would receive a text message with an answer. Hours later they told me that I needed to come into the salon after sending photos of my hair and expressing not wanting to go in due to feeling uncomfortable. I have attached the messages from the salon. The customer experience was awful and the customer service in response is just as bad. Do not come here!

    First time here! And it was a success! I did not realize they had a different method of hair…read moreremoval. They actually use a quality black wax that dries hard and thinly on the skin in quick seconds. Then it gets removed with a fast peel vs a rip like you would imagine with the cloth strips. And to make it 5-stars better....the pain level is lowwww....to me anyway. I have a pretty high pain tolerance and can do laser - now that can be painful in certain areas!     I have been going to the European Wax Center at Tempe Market Place (2040 E Rio Salado Pkwy M6,…read moreTempe, 85288) for just over three years. Shortly after starting there, my waxer left and the one the store assigned to me next was BRUTAL (I have a very thick, full beard, so getting the edges waxed needs to be done correctly). Therefore, I researched the waxers on staff and saw that Alicia had gotten outstanding reviews, and specifically concerning my needs, and I have been going to her ever since. Alicia does so well, I recommended my best friend to go to her, since his girlfriend likes his face completely smooth, but, his beard grows in like mine, and her tips from each of us far exceed the paltry percentage she gets per customer from EWC. European Wax offers year long passes, where customers can go as often as necessary, and I since I need to go every two weeks to minimize the how much hair is being pulled at one time, I started getting those, since it would save a lot of money. I have five months left before the current year is up. My best friend also bought a year pass, after experiencing Alicia's skills and the lasting results. In the time I have been going to this location, the store has gone through SEVEN managers, with the latest one being Courtney, who has been there a month and a half. And now, Alicia is fired. Funny how the SIX managers BEFORE Courtney, did not fire Alicia, so, it should not take a rocket scientist to figure out who is the problem. Since my waxer is gone, one I trusted and counted on to do the job right (and we always have a great rapport), and I hold those in charge of the store, above the manager level, responsible, I will NOT be coming back to European Wax Centers, ever, for my business. I also want the balance of my pass fees refunded. When I talked to Courtney, she said she could only give me store credit. When I asked to for the corporate number, she said that the location was a franchise, so there is no corporate tie. After some digging, I called Courtney back and asked to speak to her bosses, Lauren and Jacqueline. She said she would pass the message. After not hearing back from either of them, I went into the store and asked her in person for their numbers. She said she could not give out the numbers, but, had left a message with them about my, "concerns". Later, she called me back and claimed that I had gone enough times that there would not be any prorate left on the balance. I do not appreciate European Wax Center for bouncing Courtney from the San Tan Village location to the Tempe Market Place location, because she could not work and play well with others, there (funny thing about the internet, things of record NEVER go away), and I do not appreciate Courtney for firing Alicia when six other managers prior had the management skills to not fire her, nor do I appreciate her gatekeeping the contact information for her bosses. But, that's ok, I will find it and let them know what I think.
