Mindy started chatting with me as if we'd done this before and completely put me at ease. Conversation came naturally and she did such a professional job of cutting. They are all super nice and the salon looks really clean. I would get my lashes done here but I stopped because I lost a lot of my natural lashes since she didn't isolate my natural lash before sticking on the lash fan. I literally have bald spots on my lash line now. You can see from this lash that came off where several of my lashes were all glued to one clumpy fan. I would definitely recommend going to a place that actually isolates your natural lashes so you don't get bald spots like I did. read more

Excellent. Mindy cut my hair. Its thick and wavy and difficult to cut or style, but she was an expert.

Mindy did a great job on my hair. I got full highlights. And I really like it. It is a nice change from the plain, natural color I had before. I've never had my hair done in a salon, so I'm not sure how hair is supposed to be done. When I got home I realized it wasn't colored to the root, like to my scalp and it looked like I did my hair a month or two prior. That doesn't change the fact that I am happy with my results, I just wish it was colored to the scalp. read more

I was waiting for my turn to get my hair done and the stylist had someone in her chair.... The women was talking about immigration and politics with Canada.... It was very loud because she was getting her hair blow dried.... When it was my turn Mindy kind of looked at my hair as though it was a hot mess.... Yes I always felt that way but don't make a new client feel like that..... then when it was time for her to cut my hair... I showed her what I wanted and basically the entire time she was talking about herself and how she gave herself to the lord and all these people in her life aren't ready to receive what she has to say or be apart of her life... MINDY, MINDY, MINDY What can I even say?! She is a hair magician!! I came in with some dead, split ends, thick wavy hair and she took it all with grace. We cut off over 6 inches of hair and then she got to work on my full highlight. She is very patient, very social and very sweet! She worked her magic and made me look like an entire new person. I love it. I love her. She'll be my hair stylist as long as she wants me as her client! The entire staff was absolutely wonderful and so polite. I was here on Feb 14th for a color, wash, deep condition and cut. I am from the east coast and was surprised by the cost of hair salons in the area. I picked this one because I found it to be the most reasonable, even though it was a bit of distance for me. Mindy was my stylist and did a wonderful job of coloring, washing, conditioning and cutting my hair in layers, to give volume to my thin fine hair. She was also super sweet and attentive to my hair needs and wants. My only regret is not getting this review done in a more timely manner. I went to Hair Attractions for keratin bond hair extensions and requested a caramel balayage style to match my existing hair color. Instead, the stylist dyed my entire hair black, completely ruining the balayage I already had, and then randomly added blonde pieces that didn't blend at all. The extensions were a disaster--they didn't match my natural hair, it looked unnatural and the blending was completely off. The next day at work, multiple people told me my hair looked terrible and that I should call to get it fixed. When I went back, the stylist only took a few minutes to cut my natural hair, which did nothing to fix the issue. To make matters worse, he cut the extensions in half (where the keratin is), which ruined their integrity of them and have them falling out so quickly. I was also charged $100 for a Brazilian blowout that was completely ineffective. The treatment only took 10 minutes, which is not how a proper Brazilian blowout is done, and it had absolutely no effect on my hair texture. I cried for days over the results. Out of desperation, I went to another salon, where the stylists were shocked at how badly my hair had been done. They told me that the extensions were placed randomly and not enough were used, likely to cut costs. They had to add two extra bundles of hair to make it look natural. They also redid the Brazilian blowout on the top half of my head so that my natural hair would actually blend with the extensions. While my stylist, Lonnie, was nice, that does not excuse the awful service, the damage to my hair, or the money I wasted. I would never recommend this salon to anyone. If you care about your hair, go somewhere else. read more

I wanted to give a shout out to Mindy Duran, hairstylist at Hair Attractions on baseline Road in Mesa. I don't usually write reviews, but in this case, she has special knowledge that could be helpful for other people. I have alopecia related to medication I take and Mindy and I had a really great afternoon yesterday working together to learn how to cut away old alopecia growth and style the remainder with a topper that I had already purchased (Paris Wigs, Warner and Alma school--Teresa is awesome). Mindy had never seen a topper before and hadn't had any experience working with clients with alopecia, but her attitude was fabulous! By the time she finished , I felt a big confidence boost, and I was really impressed with her enthusiasm, communication, attention to detail, and compassion. Alopecia people: go see Mindy! I got a hybrid lash set off of Groupon here. I loved my lashes at first but when they started to fall out each fake lash had 5 or more of my natural lashes with it. She did not isolate each lash properly and therefore it made my natural lashes come out in Clumps with the extensions. Your natural lashes should typically grow with extensions and not be falling out. Very unprofessional lash set up; basically a bunch of mattress toppers staked on top of each other. I would not recommend unless you want to loose all your natural lashes! read more

I got a Groupon and gave this place a go. The hair cut was fine but the employee Andrea was a disaster that I would prefer doesn't come near me with scissors again. First she told me that she "makes sh..." working there but it getting hours but bought a chair for her house so that the clients she likes can be done at her house and she won't have to deal with people who complain about missing money pieces. Then she got into her political beliefs and told me she boycotts Target because they are trying to make kids gay by selling rainbow shirts. That doesn't even cover how damn slow she was. I will not be going back here. I just can't believe these are things the owners are ok with her talking about. read more

I came to this salon just to get a set of natural and wispy eyelashes. Needless to say, what I got was far from natural (the fact that they didn't have me sign a waiver should have been my first sign) when they let me look at this set, I was very much blown away with how far off they were. I expressed my disappointment, and instead of fixing it during the appointment time, they told me to just come back hours later. When I went back, they began removing some lashes (which felt like they were ripping my natural lashes out) And after all of that, I went home thinking the issue was over, went to bed after doing all the proper aftercare and woke up this morning and went to put in my contacts and the glue from last night fell into my eye, causing it to be VERY irritated. I am never the type of person to write negative reviews, because I typically try to understand others, but this experience pushed me over the edge. Suffice to say I will NOT be coming back to this salon, this was not very professional and I will be getting my lashes done at another place which my friends trust, and where I should have gone in the first place. read more

I've been looking for a hairdresser to "call my own" so to speak, for a while. Going new places gives me a lot of anxiety, and I can never seem to find a place that has the right atmosphere and people. This place is perfect. Launey always does my hair exactly how I envisioned it, and he always takes wonderful care of my hair in the process. I won't even go anywhere else for something as simple as a fringe trim. He's very kind and personable, and I always enjoy our little chats when I come in. The atmosphere inside is also very pleasant, and the hairdressers all keep their workspace nice and clean. Needed cut/color so bad with a new badge photo on the horizon & regular stylist unavailable for weeks. You know badge photos last FOREVER! Excellent communication (phone/text) so shot in the dark on a Saturday & they actually had availability with Andrea in the afternoon. The hair gods were on my side for the appt and ANDREA! It's in an unexpected older strip mall & I drive by it all the time. DUH! But don't pass it up. Hair Attractions has SO many services. Facials, waxes, lashes, spray tan, I mean everything. I gotta make an appt for that next. Let me tell you EVERYONE was so nice & welcoming. Andrea and I hit it off great. I am a realistic customer who is negotiable with results - not ridiculously unrealistic that it has to look like picture EXACTLY. So I told them my hair quarks, color I was hoping for but also end result. And what a team!! The owners & Andrea stood over me going over ideas of color specifics (all those numbers & letters) & then it was done. And then it was time for the cut! Everyone... I called as soon as they opened, didn't have an appointment but got scheduled immediately. My hair went from a dry, frizzy mess with tons of build up from different moisture leave ins and serums and when I left; my fine/thin hair had so much volume and the shine was brought back to life. I even got a lil emotional on the way home. I had saved 6 pictures of short hair cuts and was accepting the fact, I will need to cut it all off and this salon fixed my hair in 40 mins!
