This is definitely 100% the place you want to have your wedding!!! Kathy and her staff were an absolute joy to work with. I'm sure I asked several questions many times...lol however that didn't bother Kathy. It is VERY REASONABLY priced for what you get. If you are on a budget and want an all inclusive wonderful experience this is the place for you!!! You can also format things the way you want it with Kathy's help. She is a one stop shop for an amazing venue, great food vendors, and you absolutely have to at least taste her cakes. AMAZING!!! Can't say enough about how wonderful our entire experience with Kathy and Mark and crew was. Kathy is on point for everything and I felt totally at ease during the entire process. Charming venue in Round Rock. We are wedding photographers and love shooting at Chateau on the Creek. The outdoor area offers a beautiful locations for couples and group photos in nature, with the bright green grass and vivid texas sky as the perfect backdrop. The rock wall with fireplace is also a favorite for the ceremony location. The space is simple and fairly unadorned, which is a plus. Our clients also have not had anything negative to say about the venue. read more

I am so happy we chose Chateau On The Creek for our May 2018 wedding. After attending one of their open house events we immediately fell in love with the place, it's so beautiful...and the ambiance. Kathy, the owner, was super nice and easy to talk with, and as I found out, was easy to work with as well. She made it so much easier!! We were able to customize a package we were comfortable with, used some of the services offered, but not all. I must say Kathy's cakes are just awesome! Pretty place, but my sister-in-law was married there recently and had a horrible experience. Apparently the venue received their check 2 weeks in advance of the reception date, but they "forgot" to cash the check, and called 5 days out stating they needed a wire transfer. Unfortunately, the wire transfer was botched on the bank's end, and by Friday late afternoon, the venue had not been paid. The venue called my SIL and told her she could not have her reception there - the day before her wedding! Talk about stress! Even a call from the bank president wouldn't sway their decision, so family had to come up with a good portion of the cash on very short notice. On another note, the bridesmaids had to get ready in a separate room from the bride, but when we returned to the venue after the ceremony, all of our stuff had been moved into the primary bride's room. When I asked about a shoebox of mine that ended up missing, the woman who runs the venue was very defensive, would not help me look for the box, and just kept repeating that they would not have stolen anything. That wasn't what I was implying anyway, I just wanted my items back that they had taken upon themselves to move. Turns out, the shoe box was in another bridesmaids' bag. The venue had randomly put it in there even though that bag was no where near my stuff originally. As I said, it's a pretty place, but I would not risk that kind of potential stress if I were a bride looking for a venue. Their staff photographer was great, though, so if you can get him to travel to another venue, I would recommend him. read more

I had my wedding here October 2014 - it was absolutely beautiful! The venue is absolutely amazing, we got so many compliments. The process was so easy. Everyone would tell me "You're a bride... Why do you look so calm??" Well, because the Chateau on the Creek comes in a package deal, sorta. Venue, entrees, cake, flowers, no hidden fees, before and after clean up staff, parking lot attendants - the whole nine yards! DJ's, photography, and liquor is not included, and you can customize your package to fit your $$! Kathy, the owner, is also the Day-Of coordinator, who helps the ceremony and reception to run smoothly by keeping everything on time and in order. There were TWO boo-boo's however... (notice how it is still 5 stars though) 1. I am a perfectionist, and as a perfectionist I really really wanted to taste the catering prior to the wedding. (I can't just go off of your word by "yea the foods great, don't worry...") Long story - I didn't get a food tasting prior to the wedding because the company Kathy uses didn't respond to my calls AND they were gonna charge me since they make in bulk... But the food was AMAZING. Everyone raved about it and how it was nice and hot, delicious, etc! So don't knock this place down because of no tastings, trust their word. 2. The florist is Jocelyn, and I believe the flowers for the entire day were so beautiful, fresh, vibrant, gorgeous! Heres a quick backstory - there are 14 tables inside. I had 3 bridesmaids. I wanted to repurpose the bouquets from my bridesmaids as centerpieces to save a little mooolah (who wouldn't?) There are contracts and invoices stating that Jocelyn needed to bring 3 extra vases for the repurposed flowers. Easy right? No. Right before I'm about to walk out to the ceremony, they tell me that we never agreed on those extra 3 vases and that those tables do not have centerpieces. Ahh!!! Kathy goes and grabs some vases from her extra stash, puts them on the table, with no flowers :( Although #2 made me a little upset, I feel like I should be completely honest on these reviews. I cannot complain too much because everyone has boo-boo's on a wedding day, bigger ones even! The wedding went so perfect, it doesn't even matter to me because at the end of the day, the marriage is what counts. So thats why I strongly stick to my 5 stars, thank you Kathy, Mark, and staff for my and my husbands wonderful stress-free experience, we wouldn't have picked any other venue!! read more

We were married there in Dec 2011. Great venue - couldn't use the gazebo with its view of the wooded area and creek though. No fault of Kathy and the crew there - the bad weather moved it to plan C by Sunday morning. Went from an outdoor wedding to an inside one pretty rapidly, they reset the room and made it look as though we planned it that way. Mother Nature picked that weekend to make up for all of the rain we hadn't had in quite some time! Plenty of room for the bride and her entourage to get prepared, as well as me and mine in our little corner of the facility. Kathy's got almost everything handled - the package included catering, cakes, & music. Better than hiring a wedding planner. We got the invitations, flowers, photographer & minister and made some decisions, Kathy took care of the rest. Weddings area a stressful event anyway, but we weren't stressed about this part of it. Food was great, enough for all of the guests, cakes are the best - we've gone back to her for other cakes since. Friends and family that were there were impressed with the grounds and the hall and the intimacy (if you can call 100 people intimate). Would we use her again? - definitely, only this time maybe pick a date where the sun might be out. We have no reservations about recommending this to anyone we talk to and have on many occasions. Hopefully, we'll be back again as guests. read more

We contacted Mark and Kathy Hunt about hosting our wedding at the end of May to secure their venue for our wedding. As we were viewing the grounds we did express concern over the COVID pandemic that was just starting, and even though our date was not until January we wanted to make sure we were covering all our bases. We were assured by Mark that our date would be able to be moved if a COVID situation was to occur. As we got closer to the dates we did keep confirming with Kathy that we were watching the COVID situation get worse, but we were trying to move ahead with our plans. As we approached October and numbers were getting close to being due most of our wedding party and my soon to be in-laws had stated they were not going to make it due to the COVID concerns. When we approached Kathy and Mark about this they said we should have the wedding with "whoever could make it", but wouldn't move our wedding date. We finally did get to talk with Mark who agreed to move the date to March from January, but when we expressed that the date would still be effected by COVID he said we needed to talk with Kathy who was not at all flexible, and continued to state that if we wanted to move our date we would lose all the deposits we had already put in which totaled $3000. We ended up not having our wedding at the venue because of this tension and COVID issues that were not observed as our verbal agreement stated. read more

We were married at the Chateau on 3/5/11!!! Everything was so perfect from the 1st meeting until the last goodbye! I bet I talked to Kathy at least once a week with my ?'s. She was so helpful and kind just like the rest of her staff. I keep running into our guest who are still talking about how beatiful and how much fun they had! I just got our pictures back they are beatiful. Out of 2000 I don't like 2. The back ground of all the trees and the creek with the sunset. Wow!!! I'm so happy we choose the chateau. I can not say enough good things about Chateau on the Creek! The fact that it is a package made wedding planning a breeze--the package included almost everything we needed, and I was able to sit back and relax and just plan the little details. Kathy is super helpful with everything and extremely friendly and sweet, it made the planning process very nice and easy, and she was available for any questions or reccomendations. Her cakes were absolutely delicious and we loved both the bride and groom's cakes! The grounds were beautiful and well kept and made for a gorgeous ceremony and reception, the outdoor fire pit was really nice and beautiful as well and our guests enjoyed that area. When the wedding day came everything went well, and her and her staff were there to assure everything ran smoothly. We chose the bar-be-que for the catering and we loved it, and our guests commented on how great everything tasted. And for everything that you get with the package the price is very agreeable! I visited the Chateau to see if I wanted to have my wedding there in August 2011, during the worst drought we've ever seen, and they had managed to keep the charming appeal even then. Kathy, the owner, was very kind to us from the start. She always knew what the next steps were and never left us guessing about what our responsibilities were. We never felt worried that things wouldn't get done. A big selling point for us was their package deal. We are low maintenance people and didn't want a bunch of extra work like making our own centerpieces or fussing over decorations, and the Chateau was able to provide their own centerpieces, light up the trees on the property with Christmas lights, hang citronella lanterns to keep the bugs away, and do all of the set up and take down themselves. They also have good relationships with other vendors and can make recommendations and give discounts with them. When we were back for our wedding this past June, the property looked better than ever. The creek was flowing, new construction and updates to the house had been completed, and beautiful new plants and flowers had been planted. There were also some special touches around the ground that really made it sparkle. Kathy helped everything to go very smoothly, no major mishaps, and we had a fantastic wedding. I would absolutely recommend this venue to other couples because of the ease involved in the whole experience and beautiful outcome. read more

What a perfect location for our wedding and perfect host. Kathy was great to work with and made the wedding planning less stressful. She helped us immensly upfront getting things lined out and connecting us with other great service firms that ended up providing services for our wedding (minister, bartender, photographer, catering, florist, etc.). She orchestrated the events on the day of the wedding flawlessly. Overall it was a great experience ...great venue, atmosphere, food, etc. She also made our cakes, which were beautiful and delicious! So many of our guests have told us how great the venue was and all that came with it. Absolutely perfect ! We were married there on February 25, 2012 - I was so worried about the little things, getting everyone lined up where they needed to be, when we would cut the cake, dance the first dance... all the little things that need to be coordinated - Kathy reassured me at our last meeting that she handled all of that, made her lists, asked me what and where I wanted things and it was the most stress free beautiful wedding any bride could ask for, The coordination, the food, the decorations, the atmosphere, the cakes, the bartender (Hill Country Events), were all amazing. It has only been one week but the comliments keep pouring in on what a beautiful wedding and venue we had. We had the time of our lives, had our picture perfect wedding, married to the man of my dreams and now the story continues... they lived happily ever after...
