Wouldn't recommend. Got there and wasn't busy, but was a 7 dollar cover for card. Stayed for a while got a rum and coke and a burger and fries to go. I thought everything was going well, the server was nice, but took a while to get around to me, yet it was hardly busy. Paid for the drink and Burger and fries to go. I also gave the lady a 10 dollar tip. Just to come home and my burger isn't even cooked. I tried to give the Benefit of the doubt but if that's the way all their burgers come then I would believe the server would asked me how I would like my burger, or would of let me know they do their burgers a certain way. But this burger does not look appealing to me whatsoever. What do y'all think? read more

First off, this is a smoking joint. They offer cigars in Burns. Cigarette smoking is allowed and you will experience that aspect. The best bartenders currently employed here are Erica and Brooke. (Not hate for the others, that's just how it is now.) There are regulars and almost all of them are friendly. I've not had a really had experience here, but I smoke when I drink. I've made some really good friends here, even with staff. Good food! read more

So recently they had the brilliant idea to play old horrible country music in background. Only way to change music is to pay $1 a song on juke box. Before it was silent which was way better than this. I use to come here all the time. I left early and won't come back till they change this. The music is horrible and they actually did this by design to get people to spend more on paying for music. Seriously, the music is so bad. We haven't been here in years. Tonight we arrived around 9:00pm and the server came to us about 5 minutes after we sat down close to the bar. She took our order. I've already forgotten to mention it's St. Paddys Day! She was dressed appropriately...Took our drink order...And shortly thereafter another server asked if we'd been waited on. So the service was good. About 30 minutes later a group of Alhambra Shriners came in...And this made our night! These guys are all ages...One was 84 and had marched in the parade downtown as well...They were so friendly...Ibheard they had been to many bars downtown already spreading Irish cheer. They played the bagpipes and we were blown away! Seems like a lost art...Revived! Awesome night...We will be back. read more

Been to CBC downtown twice and didn't enjoy either experience. First time was several months ago. Second time was about a week ago. CBC tries to appear "distinguished" at first glance, door man in jacket, fancy cigars, high-priced cocktails, etc., but it was filled with loud and rowdy frat bros and valley chicks from UTC. Apparently CBC has become the place to be for all the drunk college kids and hipsters that want to shoot pool, so it wasn't the vibe I normally see when I go to a billiard club where customers take billiards seriously. One side of the building has eight or so short tables which all take quarters, and the other side has four or so 9 foot tables which are by the hour. The hourly tables were being used by what I would consider "real pool players" while the short tables were all occupied by drunk college kids taking advantage of the cheap pool on the quarter tables (the tables cost $1 per game, but since they take quarters and aren't by the hour, the college kids can take their sweet time and talk for eons between shots, since they aren't losing money by standing around doing nothing.). The first time I was there a dude actually spilled a beer all over a table because he was drunk and the server just came over and told him not to do it again like it was no big deal. The tables are equipped with nice and expensive Simonis cloth, and it was bit offensive to see the server shrug off the beer spilling because any serious billiard club would normally escort you to the door for such behavior. The second time I came the place was filled with hipsters again. I showed my ID at the door, then went upstairs where the tables are located and grabbed a beer at the bar. I had to show my ID again at the bar, which is redundant when I just showed it at the door. I settled in at a table and began shooting/practicing by myself and got into a rhythm, when about 10 minutes later I was interrupted by another employee walking around the entire establishment making every single customer pull out their ID again. This pissed me off a bit as I showed it once to get in the building and once again to get my beer, now I'm trying to just play pool and I'm having to whip it out a third time. Also pissed me off because I'm 35 and twice should be enough for someone my age as I don't look even close to being underage. The funny thing is that I had my beer with me when the employee came around checking IDs and I'm thinking in my head WHY are you going to ID someone who already has a beer, because if I was underage then you've already screwed up by giving me the beer in the first place. Just shows what kind of crowd CBC is used to getting if they have to walk the entire pool playing floor and force every single customer to pull out their IDs for the second or third time just to make super certain they aren't giving beer to kids. There are a lot of ways to avoid this scenario, i.e. wrist bands, stamps, more security, etc, but CBC has apparently chosen to engage in redundant nonsense instead. Lastly, many of the quarter tables have two-person tables for sitting, eating drinking that are super close to the tables and are typically occupied by drunk college kids that aren't actually shooting pool. The tables are so close that there's no way to get a shot off sometimes without asking them to move, and when they do they normally just lean back and you have to shoot awkwardly straight down on the ball to avoid nailing these idiots in their forehead. Long story short, I don't know what this place looks like on league nights, but any other time it just seems to be filled with college-aged drunks that aren't really there to shoot pool but are just there to be loud, obnoxious, and stand around doing nothing. i doubt I'll be back a third time until this "billiards club" stops looking like a frat house. read more

In the very back they have 4 Foosball tables. They run a small friendly tournament on Saturday night. They don't smoke in the back were the Foosball tables are and that's a plus. They also have plenty of vintage video games back there. read more

As an out of town guest, I loved everything about this place with one tiny issue. I didn't enjoy the smoking environment. Tennessee doesn't ban smoking in restaurants, but that's not the fault of this business, just something to keep in mind. The service was very friendly and there were plenty of tables for pool. Shrimp or boy is our favorite here it is the best that I've had. Other food items are pretty good as well we love coming here shooting some pool and having fun time. This service is always excellent and it stays pretty crowded with people over 30's. They have tournaments on Sundays if you're good pool player you could definitely win some money and enjoy your day. read more

This is never my first choice of watering holes, but have often ended up here late night with friends. Yes-- It is conveniently located near my sweetie's house, they're open late and the beer is always cold. However, as a non-smoker, I HATE going home stinking of smoke. And even worse, waking up the next morning and feeling like I smoked a pack myself! I can't say I'd never return (as I hate to be a party pooper with friends), but I certainly would never choose to hang here. read more

Hey if you like to drink basic beers with a side of second hand smoke, this is the place for you. Their ventilation is awful at this location. I do like that is a bit calmer than the downtown one, but it feels dingy and dirty. The average age is 40+ and that's okay but it can get kinda creepy at times. They do have decent pool tables and a good dart board section, but just be prepared to toss away any clothing you wear to this place. read more

Service here is shit. Servers are either drunk, drinking, or overworked because they can't keep any staff. Manager Trevor has poor customer service and is a joke, so don't bother asking to speak to the manager because nothing will be taken care of. Food is hit or miss, depending on the night. Molly is a great bartender. She is so nice and attentive. I have actually had her as a server before and she was great as well. I will come see her again. We came here at 6pm on St Patrick's Day to kill some time before a party. It took at least 20 minutes to get one pitcher of beer, even though we were at a table 5 feet from the bar and the place was nearly empty. We amused ourselves by watching the wait staff - walking around eating, congregating by the bar, being completely uninterested in waiting on customers. After we finally saw the bartender pour our pitcher (we almost mistook him for Olive, the sloth at the zoo), we saw it sit up there for about 5 minutes before flagging down another server to bring it to us (our server was just wandering around). She actually did the trick where you stir the top of the beer with a straw so it looks like it's freshly poured. Dude, we can see you! Oh, and a pitcher of Bud Light is $11. So, after frequenting this establishment almost every single weekend and spending a lot of money over the years, I feel like people should know and understand what type of place this really is. We have been over charged on Sundays when they are slow and have 2$ pints... I'm not great at math but after 4 pints you would assume your tab would be 8$ but no we ended up paying over 20$ because allll of a sudden a certain beer which was not told to us was off the 2$ deal ohhh ok. But, the last straw for us was after A group of our friends spent 200$ in a night and the sever was left over a 15% tip he followed me and my boyfriend out to our car and scream at us that he deserved more who does that?!
