After walking through gravel and returning, we entered, paid, once I sat down, the security came to mention that my other friend needed to return her handbag. The signage should be clear for ALL patrons and not discretion. The dimensions of the purse did not equate to large or big. I looked across the room and saw a purse (same size) sitting on a counter that someone else had. I was baffled that security saw us, allowed us to enter and pay. The communication with the owner was poor. No eye contact and seem as if he did not want to be bothered and sadly we were told he wasn't there. Tip: Provide clear communication to ALL staff and on signage to clearly specify the dimensions of handbags that are not permitted and be sure that your staff is informed, instead of picking who you want to select, because there's difference in a large tote, small handbag, clutch or wristlet.

There's plenty of parking nearby so you don't have to walk far. This neat beer bar reminds me of the crowler shops that you used to find around Atlanta, with around 30 taps containing about a thrid local beer, so you can sample several local breweries without visiting each one (they're mostly not too near each other so this is very convenient). The taproom "beertender" seemed to be fairly knowledgeable regarding the various offerings - there's also a convenient list highlighting the different beers with style notes. We sat at the bar and were able to bring in some food from the nearby restaurants (I grabbed some wings at the nearby Marthie Ann's which were excellent). To drink I tried Hoptown's own Orange Mango Wheat - a somewhat basic wheat beer with hings of sweet tangerine and mango - nothing special. I had a Maine Brewing "Lunch" with the wings which is always a winner - it's an exceptional New England IPA. Service was great - I can see myself hitting Ooltewah just to come by for a break in driving.

Before I say anything I think it's important to note that I have been in the service industry for almost a decade- I'm willing to put up with a lot and completely understand that a lot of times the situation is outside of the waitstaff's control. I was confused from the moment we sat down. A bartender said he would be out to help us but never showed up, eventually someone who seemed to be a manager came and took our order. When he came around to me and my wife, we specifically asked about the vegetarian offering and what our options were. He confirmed that we could get a veggie burger and we both ordered that. Over an hour later our food arrived and during our wait there was no communication from any of the staff (we didn't have a dedicated server) about why the food was taking so long or even that it was taking longer than normal. Both my wife's burger and mine were regular beef patties with grilled mushroom slices and no other toppings. We also ordered the truffle and Parmesan fries that are served with a horseradish aioli. After the fries hit the table sans sauce, we asked if we could get some and were informed that they were out of the aioli. Even more disappointing for my in laws who ordered the featured burger was that the patties were literally the size of silver dollars. After waiting almost an hour and a half for our food to come out, we chose to inform a server that our food was wrong but we didn't care to wait for the kitchen to figure it out again. We got our check for our drinks and left. All I'll say to finish this already incredibly long review is that everyone I interacted with was very kind, while mostly unhelpful. Having worked in a hotel bar/restaurant before, I know that usually the cause of these situations is poor management or support of the people actually working on the floor. Maybe Hotel Indigo can figure out how to run a halfway functioning restaurant in the near future, I just won't be back to find out if they're successful.
