An adorable wedding dress shop! Their selection of dresses was decent! If you ask to see some dresses off the rack, their price range was about 700-5000. I did not go with a dress from here, mostly because I liked others equally and they were cheaper. The staff was friendly, though I was surprised the attendant did not help me get into my dresses. There is space for only 2-3 appointments at once, so they do feel intimate. Good natural lighting for getting a feel for the dress. They are pretty strict on the 4 guest max rule. They weren't too pushy and didn't follow up after we left (which I appreciated). Overall I would recommend adding Che Bella to your dress appointment list! After trying on several dresses at different bridal shops, I decided on a dress from Che Bella. Everything went smoothly until it was time to order my dress. After getting my measurements, the owner wanted to order me a size 6 or even 8. I was adamant that I didn't want to have to get a lot of alterations as the dress was a lot in the first place. I went back and forth with the owner for over 30 minutes about which size to order since it was coming from Spain. She would not order me a size down, and I was willing to risk getting a size 4 so I would not have to spend a ton of money on alterations. My friend who has the same body type as me also purchased the same brand dress and ordered a 4 after the bridal consultant told her to size up as well. She was very happy she didn't give in as a size 4 fit her perfectly. After I told the owner I really wanted a size 4 and she would not order it, I finally just settled on a size 6. Well, fast forward 5 months when it came in, and it was WAY too big. The sides of the dress needed to come in over 2-3 inches on each side. The owner was quick to recommend a seamstress for alterations. I was understandably upset with how big it was and had her remeasure me. She remeasured me and told me now she would have ordered me a size 4 based on those measurements. My weight or body habitus did not fluctuate since my first measurements, and I didn't have time to return the dress for a size down. I went to a couple different seamstresses to compare prices for alterations and even had one tell me (who was a wedding dress seamstress for a long time) that she would not feel comfortable altering this dress because of how much she would have to bring in she thought it could lose its shape. After getting a quote from the seamstress that the owner recommended who said she felt comfortable with the alterations, I called to tell the owner of Che Bella that I think it is only fair that they pay for some of the alterations. I had to leave several voicemails and emails and did not get any follow-up. Finally, I got a hold of the owner who said I should send the invoice when I pay and she was reimburse for some of it. It was like pulling teeth trying to get a hold of them, and I felt that it was very rude of her after spending a lot of money on the dress and very bad customer service. She was nice and eager to get your business but did not care once she had your money. I would look elsewhere when buying a dress. read more

She took me under her wing and helped me understand what I was wearing, what I liked, and what I did not like about the dresses. She even came back in with a recommendation that almost the dress! I had an amazing experience this past weekend at Che Bella bridal. Leah was my stylist and she was so kind and receptive to my sense of humor as we shopped. The shop has beautiful natural light to asses your potential dresses in and it is full of kind employees that give the experience more of a family and community feel. While I haven't said yes quite yet, I'm almost certain Leah found my dress. She listened to my vision and pulled many dresses that fit the perimeters I had described, but she was bold enough to pull something a little out of the box for me and it was PERFECT. I'm the worst bride-to-be. I'm not exaggerating. It's as if I'm trying to be laid back about our wedding, but in reality... I'm a planner (literally, event planning is a huge part of my job). I'm hyper organized. I thrive on knowing without question that I found the absolute best choice when it comes to value and quality. That means I research like crazy. It's typically a positive thing, but then now and again I find myself paralyzed when it comes to the actual decisions. With dresses, it's been a mild nightmare. I bought a gown I love from Nordstrom.com in January and then I made the mistake of not fully committing to it. Instead, I've looked up dresses online and reconsidered/second-guessed my way into lunacy. Anyway, sorry for the preface to this review that basically outs me on being a cuckoo bird, but I think it's relevant to know where my head was when I was at Che Bella... i.e. not screwed on perfectly straight. On one of these aforementioned Pinterest binges, I called Che Bella to ask about a particular JLM Blush gown. The girl I spoke with on the phone seemed to totally "get" what I was looking for (non-poofy, non-strapless, something I can actually dance in and costs the least amount of money). They didn't have that particular gown, but she even said she would let me know if they were going to be able to get the dress in special for me to try on since they carry the designer's other collections. My budget is a bit of a stretch here, but I went ahead anyway because I felt like maybe this awesome girl will find me a dress. It was last minute, so I just went solo in between meetings in St. Paul the next day. My appointment, started off a little rocky with discovering that the person I talked to on the phone was helping someone else. My assigned consultant was nice, but sort of timid. She didn't really introduce herself and seemed slightly uncomfortable at first. Maybe it's because I was projecting my own weirdness about wedding dress shopping onto her. She did totally warm up as we went on, but she wasn't the usual over-the-top enthusiastic sort that I'm accustomed to seeing in bridal salons. I actually found it refreshing once we became buds and she was more comfortable. The selection is small, but beautiful, especially nice for those of us who aren't fond of strapless dresses. They had plenty of strapless too, but they have a little bit more variety in styles and shapes than some other stores. You could find anything from a destination wedding dress to a formal black-tie ball gown. And as quiet as my consultant was, she was very knowledgable about the fabrics, sizes and everything to do with the dresses. They carry Nicole Miller, Jim Hjelm, Alvina Valenta, Robert Bullock, Amy Kuschel, etc. The prices start at $600 and go up to the $5K range. I'm going to wrap this up now, but the accessories are BOMB. They have so many hair pieces, combs, veils, sashes, jewelry... and they are all gorgeous. So though I don't think I'll be buying my dress here now that I've come to my senses with the dress I already own, I'll probably stop back and try out some of the bling! read more

I first visited Che Bella in Dec 2017, I was hoping to buy local and have my dress be something from my home state. (I got married in LA) When we walked in we were greeted by the owner and checked in for our appointment. The shop is pretty cute and the vibe is nice upon entering. After we were shown where we would be seated/ place our winter gear and purses, we were told we could browse the dresses. I've read some other reviews that people didn't like that, but I really did. Also our attendant walked around with us to answer any questions and to see what dresses I gravitated to. Then after I pulled a few, she asked if I would like her to pull a few of her own pics. I'm glad I did cause I ended up going with one of them. I absolutely loved my dress, how it looked and fit. I got an Eddy K, and the strapless gown I went with was an exclusive for their shop. I also got my veil from them and I really loved the color as it was non traditional, champagne color, and matched the under layer of my dress. They truly care about their customers and want to make sure you have the best experience, however they are not the best at returning phone calls so you do need to follow up if you haven't heard from them. *Out of State Brides: They did help with shipping my dress/ packing it for shipping which was super helpful as I live out of state. I really can't say enough great things about this place. Everyone here is SO nice! I want to buy my dress here just to get to see them all the time as I plan my wedding (probs not the best reason). Their selection of gowns is GORGEOUS. I fell in love with one, but I wanted to add a vintage flair to it; something to make it unique. I thought about adding an off-the-shoulder bolero, but they didn't have one to try on with the gown. I didn't want to commit to the dress if I couldn't see for sure what it could look like with the sleeves, so I went home empty-handed. Two days later, I get a call from the wonderful shop owner, Jennifer. She was letting me know that they had ordered some and where I could find pictures of them online. She also let me know that she would call me when they came in so I could try them on. I'm so excited!! I'm also wearing my mom's veil... from the 80s. It's got a gorgeous pearl headband, but wayyy too much volume and sparkles. Since Che Bella specializes in accessories, I had a consultation with one of their accessory designers who made me feel confident that they could take amazing care of the piece and give it a new look that would suit my look as well as keeping many of the elements of the original piece. Also! I've had 3 appointments there so far (I'm SO indecisive!) and I've had nothing but wonderful, wonderful service. It's the only place I've tried on gowns where the staff made me feel really special, like you grow up dreaming you'll feel when you try on dresses. Finally, I really appreciate the fact that the other staff takes the time to talk to my mom and sister while they wait for me to change. Perhaps not a typical bride, I was somewhat dreading the whole "ooh...ahh" bridal gown trying on experience. I probably would have preferred to get married in jeans...yet.... My worries were allayed at Che Bella, whose helpful, honest, tasteful, and non-pushy consultants were a pleasure to befriend for the afternoon. And the dresses were a gorgeous and varied combination of good taste and affordable prices. You could do anything from beach to cathedral wedding and find it here. The store itself is small enough to not feel overwhelmed and whimsically decorated to make even a skeptical bride feel truly special. Though I did not end up buying my dress here, I returned a month or two later to grab a pearl and feather hair clip made in-house. They are the best in town and the sales lady even recognized me! I arrived at Che Bella extremely anxious about looking for a bridal gown. I had no idea what I wanted, despite having tried on a handful of dresses at another boutique, and I wasn't sure if I would ever feel comfortable or desiring of a dress. Immediately upon sharing my anxiety with the consultant, she put me at ease by telling me that it was just meant to be a fun experience and that there was absolutely no pressure. I slowly began to enjoy myself (hard to do with an entourage of family members who invited themselves to scrutinize dresses!) and did find the right dress. It is gorgeous, as is everything in the boutique. The consultants are nice and courteous and helped me at every step, despite how many times I call with questions or concerns. Not much of this process has been easy, or fun. ENTER CHE BELLA. Che Bella is owned by the nicest, calmest, most genuine woman you'd ever hope to meet in this heinous potentially-multi-thousand-dollar process. If you're going to spend thousands of dollars on something, it helps to know that you're shelling out your hard-earned skrilla to a good person. Jennifer is worth every penny. The entire process was easy. Didn't have to chase anyone down for an appointment and I got the time slot I wanted. We had the entire fitting area to ourselves. It's set up in such a lovely way- big windows, lots of natural light, couches for the entourage, and large, well-lit, airy dressing rooms. The whole shop glows in the evenings and the light streaming through the windows makes you remember that weddings can be romantic, and lovely, and fun. The sales associates aren't just good at their product- they're good at making their product look BANGIN by jazzing up could-be-boring dresses with little snatches of pretty. They're helpful, and kind, and very, VERY chill. And then, of course, they had my dress. "It wasn't what I expected to want but it was perfect" said every bride everywhere and it's accurate in this case as well. The fitting was laughably simple- 10 minutes? 15 minutes tops?- and bam. Let me just say, if the wedding shoppe makes you break out into hives, you need to try this place! Great service, elegant atmosphere and beautiful dresses! The owner used to make wedding accessories before opening her own place, so she can customize anything! She ended up making a custom belt for my dress, using parts of my mother's wedding gown-- it was cheaper than buying the designer option and so much more special. I don't know that there are enough words for how wonderful my experience was at Che Bella! Che Bella was the first stop of the day for my mother and I. Upon arrival we were greeted right away by two ladies, one of which was my consultant Jenna. She listened while I explained what my vision was (which was all over to be honest) and price point. She proceeded to show us around the racks and helped me select a number of dress while she also pulled some on her own. While trying on dresses she was always there to help unzip/zip me and was always there to offer advise or answer questions as my mom and I evaluated each dress. I was shocked at how many dresses I loved in the store, the selection was amazing! As the end of my 90min appointment was nearing I still had a few dresses to try and Jenna was kind enough to let me continue to try dresses on! On top of that my mother and I always had full water glasses. We eventually left, with a few dresses that we loved in mind there that Jenna wrote down for us. The next two stops for us could not hold a flame to the experience we had at Che Bella. Flutter, the second stop was great and had fine service but the dresses were just not my taste. Our third stop, The Wedding Shoppe was TERRIBLE! I was not even given my full 90 min appointment before my consultant ended it. I told her designers I liked, she never brought them in. Told her I wanted to try something with less/no lace, she brought more and more lace. Told her I wanted to try something strapless, she kept bring dresses with straps! After leaving my mother and I called Che Bella right away to see if we could come back and try a few more dresses on. They informed us they were closing in 45mins but to come on back! Once returning to Che Bella ( about 20 mins before close) Jenna was there to greet us again and had pulled the dresses that were my favs from that morning. I tried them all on, saving the best for last! Wearing that last dress I looked in the mirror behind me only to see my mom crying and Jenna even tearing up! It was a genuine moment and I appreciated it, Jenna took the time to get to know me and my mom, she actually cared that I was happy, that is customer service at its finest. As my mother and I cried after I said yes to the dress Jenna came out with champagne for my mom, myself and her! My mom and I sat in the closed shop and enjoyed a moment that we will never have again as a mother and daughter. Had an appointment with Jennifer. We were a few mins late due to an accident holding up traffic, but we called to let her know. When we showed up, she made a snarky comment about being late. She asked for my price range and then said they don't carry many dresses in that price range. I tried on three dresses; she simply hung them up and left the room. She came back to pin and then said "you want to show them or not?" During the entire experience, she bad mouthed the previous shop I was at and said to be cautious about their shipping, their hemming, etc. This did not make me want to work with her. I had my first shopping appointment here and it was pretty disappointing. They have a great selection of dresses in a wide range of prices and styles, but that's where the good stops for me. The woman helping me told me to pull some off the rack and when I told her my budget, she just replied that all of the dresses had price tags on them. So I had to go through and look at tags and awkwardly find a few to try on. I finally had my bridesmaids and Mom go pull more and look for me... with the dresses ranging in price, it was annoying to have to look through them rather than have the woman guide us in prices. After discussing my wedding date at the beginning, there was no mention of the timeline or getting a dress made in time (7 months to wedding) so I thought I was in the clear. Found a dress I loved and the response from the woman was that it usually takes 7-8 months for that dress... WHY let me try it on?! It was such a disappointing end to my first shopping experience. I was then told to call the next week to check if it could come in time - not that they would check and call me which was so weird. Che Bella was the 2nd shop I went to looking for dresses and I wanted to come here based on the rave reviews. I liked that my group and I got to pick dresses and they had a decent selection. However, this shop is not really fit for someone with a budget of less than 1800. Our consultant was so nice and fun, however she started grabbing dresses for me before asking my budget, which was 1300. I loved all the dresses I tried on, but I was really wowed by one of them. Then I found out it was 2800 and I was crushed. I honestly might have bought it if it was even remotely within budget. I didn't have a terrible experience, but it really hurts to find a dress you love but not be able to afford it. The consultants really should ask the bride her budget beforehand. I made an appointment at Che Bella and was very excited as they are one of only a few shops in the Twin Cities that carry some of the bridal lines I was interested in. I arrived with my family as stated in my appointment and we were disappointed from our arrival and were over come by a "bathroom" or musty smell. We were not greeted upon entering the shop but waited at their front reception. A woman came over to check me in as the bride and proceeded to have me fill out a quick form with my information. She asked me a few questions about my taste, instructed my family that they had no room for them in the back viewing area and offered the front green couch, even though I had an appointment. She told me to "look around" and walked away. My maid of honor and I started looking through the racks of dresses and were very disappointed. All of the dresses, except one small rack brought in for a trunk show, were dirty, yellowed, covered in makeup and ripped. We collected a few and flagged down our associate to help me. She placed the dresses in the dressing room and walked away. When I needed help zipping I had to ask her to come back. I would walk out and show my family and return to my room. She offered me no assistance or suggestions on other options to try. After trying on three dresses and receiving no help from the associate my maid of honor came in the dressing room to assist me. We proceeded to try on a few more, but sadly felt as though I was inconveniencing the sales girl with any questions even though I had an appointment. There were a few other girls there trying on dresses and each of their families were drinking water, champagne or soda and were treated graciously. My family and I were dressed in a clean manner, came at our scheduled time, were polite and professional but received no customer service. We left feeling very disrespected and as though our business did not matter. When we left the store no one said good bye, offered to write anything I may have liked down or anything. It was as if we did not exist and did not matter to their business. This was our second appointment of the day and we walked down the block to "a & be" bridal and although they were busy they made time for us even without an appointment and made our group feel welcomed and valued. As a former Miss MN USA and someone who has assisted pageant girls in dress shopping I am utterly appalled and disappointed by this shop, their gowns and their staff. I will NEVER recommend anyone I know getting married visit after how horribly both myself and my family were treated. I want it to be known that I fit into the oddly small sample sizes they had and had a very substantial budget so nothing warranted their ill treatment of me from a size or budget perspective. read more

We spent last weekend wedding dress shopping in the cities. We are from Wisconsin, but our daughter lives in Minneapolis. She chose 5 salons and made appointments at 4. The last one did not require appointments. Before I begin to rave about Che Bella, I do have to tell you about 2 of the salons as they were disappointing in different ways. L'Atelier Couture - nice shopping experience and gown selection, helpful consultant and my daughter fell in love with a very expensive Vera Wang at 2 pm. We still had 2 more appointments on this day. The consultant then told us we could take an extra 10% off if we ordered it that day. She said we would have to let them know by 5 pm. Before leaving, we were told everyone was leaving work early and we now had to decide by 4:40 pm!!! It made us all anxious, but we decided to go to the next salon which was Che Bella and thank God we did! Details to follow on our wonderful experience. Days after these appointments, the L'Atelier consultant called me to follow up and sent several messages to my daughter to see of she made a decision. She also said the 10% "day of the appt discount" was magically extended for us now!!! This is a pet peeve for me! I hate high pressure sales people. And, please...give us your best price the first time! My daughter told her via text message that she chose the perfect dress at Che Bella. The L'Atelier consultant responded by saying she was "sure that the price of their gown was the reason". The Vera gown was nearly three times the price of the Che Bella gown, but this was NOT the reason my daughter made her decision! How rude! Thankfully, my daughter responded to her and said if she had wanted the Vera gown, we would have purchased it, and we definitely would have. Courtney explained that the dress at Che Bella was perfect for her in every way and made her feel bridal. Wedding Shoppe - we had an appointment at 4:30 pm. We walked into the salon which is a big house and I thought there must be a clearance sale going on. There were so many people standing in the entry and the hallways. I made my way to the woman checking people in for appointments and asked her why there were so many people there. She said they ALL have appointments. OMG...we waited nearly one hour to get a room! What is the point of making an appointment if you completely overbook and make clients wait! The consultant was nice and really tried, but the dresses in our opinion were rather cheap looking. It was a miserable experience. Now, on to Che Bella!!! We came here after the high pressure appt at L'Atelier....the salon is lovely with lots of big windows. Jennifer, the owner, greeted us immediately. She offered all of us mimosas, showed us a big sofa to be seated, and talked with Courtney about what she was looking for. Several gowns were picked and off she went to they them on. The first gown made our mouths drop...just stunning! Jennifer added a beautiful veil and belt and gave us loads of time to look it over. She tried on 4/5 more beautiful gowns, but the first one was IT in all of our opinions. Jennifer was delightful, helpful and informative. It was a lovely, relaxing experience! The salon had a great sale on accessories (18% off the veil and belt) going on. We still had one more appt that day. We asked Jennifer to write up the desired gown, veil and belt so we could order after eliminating the last salon. We were nervous about losing the 18% discount if we didn't get back to her by the end of the day. Jennifer said there were no worries there as the sale was for the whole month and they are a no pressure experience. Love her! My daughter went back 2 days later to order the gown and accessories and put down the deposit. Jennifer informed her of an upcoming trunk show for the gown's designer and offered Courtney the 10% discount! She certainly did not have to do this, but she did and it speaks volumes about Jennifer and her business! This was the cherry on top of a fabulous wedding dress shopping experience! Before I became engaged I was out to dinner with my family when my mom & I strolled past Che Bella's store front window. With all of the sparkle from the beautiful jewelry & tons of lace filled white gowns, my mom and I made a pact that this would be the store we would go to when I would be on the hunt for my gown. Fast forward a year later and here I am walking into Che Bella with my sisters and my mom. As we entered, we were greeted by two cheerful girls & I was introduced to my consultant who would be working with me. I felt her genuine excitement and interest in finding what would be the perfect fit for me. Since we were the first group of the day we got to choose where my party would sit while I tried on dresses. After we set our belongs on our chosen couch, we were brought back out to the front where the dresses were. As we walked through the areas, my consultant and I discussed the styles I was drawn to. She suggested designers that would fit my taste and my price point. My mom asked for a dress to be taken off of a mannequin in the front window, the ladies were more that happy to oblige and take it down. While I was trying on dresses my sisters and mom sipped on sparkling water and enjoyed a few treats. My consultant came into my room with me and offered to stay with me or step out, whichever I felt most comfortable with. I chose to have her stay in with me while we discussed which of the dresses I would try on first... Of course the first one I tried on was the one my mom picked out, a dress by Alvina Valenta. I fell in love and after trying on many other gowns, I came back to the first one and said "yes to my dress". We ended with a champagne toast and a few hugs. I loved my experience at Che Bella and would recommend it to any bride to be. I have enjoyed every step of the process working with the ladies at Che Bella. They are so accommodating. I went dress shopping with my mom, sister and grandma but really wanted my dad to see the dress. So, we popped in the next day and asked if I could try on the dress one more time. They were super nice about it and didn't say anything when I spent another 20min in the dress trying on all their fun accessories (I obviously love my dress - I didn't want to take it off!). I am a very hands-on type of person and I really appreciated that you could look at all the dresses and pick out whichever ones you wanted to try on. Lastly, Staci is amazing! I flew in from Colorado to go dress shopping and didn't return to MN for another 9 months. But, as soon as I walked in the store to pick up my dress, she remembered my name and was happy to see me and help me get my dress. read more

I am at a loss for words at how amazing my experience was at Che Bella! I came in for my initial appointment on a Thursday afternoon with one of my bridesmaids, hoping to narrow down what type of look I was going for. I explained a bit of what I wanted to Jennifer, who was able to completely figure out my style when I couldn't even figure out what I wanted! I was in love with the first dress I tried on, but she made sure that I tried on anything that I was even remotely interested in. We were there for a bit longer than my 90 minute appointment time, and did not feel rushed at all. When I thought that I had found "the dress," it was hard to make a decision without my family there. Luckily Jennifer was so sweet and offered to come in a bit early the next morning so that my family could make it before they had to get to work. She even let me try on all the dresses from the day before so that my mom and sister could have the same experience I had the day prior. I would encourage anyone to make an appointment at Che Bella. The dresses are within an affordable price range, but the boutique is very high end and has beautiful gowns. I didn't feel any pressure to buy anything, and had exceptional service. I booked my apt. at Che Bella to try on wedding dresses for the first time. I figured it was A) going to be painful and B) id just try on different styles and take what looked best to a different store to try on more and potentially buy my dress. Jennifer greeted us and was with us the whole time. To say she is amazing is an understatement. The second dress I put on was magic and I SAID YES!!! I'd give a 0 star if I could. Admittedly we didn't have an appointment but being from out of town we didn't know when our relatives would be free to join us and that was part of the point of our trip, to share the experience with Aunt and cousin. ... so 4 of us dropped in. 2 people stood behind the counter talking the entire time we were there. .. they did point out the sample rack but that was all the help they gave us. I wasn't impressed with any of the dresses we looked at on the racks. At least not enough to beg for some help or try anything on. Bought our dress at the next place we went to.... where they treated us like we mattered. read more

One Friday afternoon I walked in without having an appointment and the owner Jennifer was very kind and extremely helpful in helping me find my perfect dress. I had been searching for months with only disappointment and I saw it in the window and knew it was the one. Although I was unable to purchase my dress from Che Bella because of my limited time frame, my wedding was in 2 months and the dress had a 6 month lead-time, the owner gladly let me try it on and again for a second time when I brought my mom back. I ended up purchasing it as a sample dress from a store in Charleston but wished I would have had more time to go through the process at Che Bella. The boutique is beautiful and leaves you with a calming and great feeling. I highly recommend Che Bella to any future brides! read more
