I had such a horrible experience with TWR. The dresses and space are beautiful. I had a great time until they dropped the ball. I received my dress 5 weeks late from their contractual delivery date with no explanation, proactive communication, or apology. I was assured that I would not need to rush order the dress. The dress fit me beautifully in the store, but I was encouraged to order closer to my listed size according to the designer chart, so I wasn't worried about it being late until I tried it on and it was 2-3 sizes too large. The tailoring appointments they offered were for dates before my dress even arrived. Being out of state, I had to bring my dress to another tailor that a friend recommended, who explained the dress would have to be recut and entirely reconstructed because it was so large. My measurements had not changed from the time I tried on the dress on at TWR 7 months earlier. The tailoring estimate was nearly 40% of the purchase price of the dress, so I reached out to TWR to express my frustration. They offered only $150 for a "rush fee" because it was late. They refused to acknowledge any accountability until I told them I lodged official complaints. When I finally spoke to Carmen, she accused me of sending fake pictures, my tailor of being dishonest, implied that I should be grateful because "some girls don't even get their dresses," and told me that I hurt her feelings telling her I didn't trust TWR to do any further business with or to stick to a contract when she offered to do the alterations in a few hours (the alterations took 3 days at my tailor). Their contract did not seem to come with any sort of integrity on their end. Your wedding gown is an investment and brides are under such tight timelines that you expect a luxury boutique to respect. Although many brides have had great experiences here, I can only speak for mine, and I would not trust or recommend TWR to do business with. read more

So this was the first bridal shop I went to in Minnesota and I'm so glad I was able to dip my toes into so many beautiful gowns. They seriously have such a great location and the layout is really spacious. I came here with a friend of mine and I tried on every type of silhouette. This is where I discovered Georgia Young dresses which I fell in love with. It was giving couture, modern bride, and beautiful texture. A million stars for The White Room! They made my wedding dress experience the absolute best. I visited four different shops and none compared to this one. I worked with Jill who was so fun and helpful. She actually pulled the dress that ended up being the one! If you are looking for a more unique dress, this is the shop in the Twin Cities. They have a variety of styles and honestly, I think I found about 5 dresses that could have been the one haha. I didn't feel pressured at all which was top notch for a people pleaser like myself. I felt so comfortable and was given the time I needed to think about my decision. From try on to ordering, it was all such an easy process. Nikki was amazing with answering questions after I ordered the dress and when it arrived in the store. They all really go above and beyond! Wedding dress shopping for my beautiful little sister - this was a day we had been looking forward to for so long and The White Room exceeded our expectations!!! Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely woman at the front desk who took our coats and offered us sparkling wine. I loved this sweet touch! We had a beautiful big room near the windows that had stunning natural light coming through. Nikki helped my sister pick out a few dresses, and with telling Nikki before the appointment what she wanted, Nikki already had one picked out for my sister that she thought would be perfect. All of the dresses in this shop are absolutely stunning. We had been to a couple other wedding shops before The White Room and nothing compared to TWR. The dresses here are unique, something you could never find at another dress shop. This shop picks out dresses directly from the designers and cares about the stories of the dresses and of the designers. Nikki was so knowledge about every dress, about the designer who made the dress, the fabrics and how the dress should fit. The original dress Nikki picked out for my sister is the one she bought! It was absolutely STUNNING and everything and more my sister wanted for her wedding in Greece! I will forever recommend this wedding shop to everyone I know that's getting married! The White Room is absolutely amazing. Jillian and the staff are incredible and the designers they carry are gorgeous and chic. They actually saved me after a horrible experience elsewhere that left me without a dress 2 weeks before my wedding (!). In full panic mode, I emailed the White Room to see if there was any way to get a dress from them in time for my wedding two weeks away. Jillian called me 5 minutes later to say she was so sorry this was happening and they will do what they can to help. I went into the store that day and was so incredibly happy to find a dress I loved. Then they rushed the alterations (around the Thanksgiving holiday) to make sure I had a dress for my wedding. They honestly saved the day, my mom and I were literally crying of happiness when we found the dress and they were able to alter it in time for the wedding. I truly don't know what I would have done were it not for Jillian and their team. After going through this experience, I would tell future brides to choose their bridal store carefully. I really wish I had understood the process more going into it. The problems that led to me being in that situation two weeks before my wedding were a result of another store not properly taking measurements and not doing alterations in house. They expected you to pick up the dress and never contact them again, but given the fact that the dresses never look right until you're near the end of alterations, if something goes wrong at the end you're left on your own. The White Room does their alterations in house and is with you every step of the way, making sure you are ready for your wedding. Clearly I can't recommend them enough. My daughter went to a few other boutiques looking for a wedding dress. The White Room was her last stop and that's where she ended up with the perfect dress. Right from the start the staff were amazing. They were so welcoming throughout the entire process. Their dress selection included a lot of different styles and price points. Looking at a few of the price tags I wasn't sure if my daughter would find a dress here within her budget but of course she did. The dress she choose was unique and eloquent and fits her style perfectly. Once she ordered the dress it arrived in plenty of time before the wedding. We returned for a few alterations and knew we were in good hands when Sadie came in the room. She seemed like a pro and when my daughter went for the final fitting the alterations couldn't have been done any better. My favorite part here is the sparkling champagne. My daughter and I quickly learned that when they ask you if you'd like a glass just say, YES!! If you just got engaged don't overlook this lovely boutique for dress shopping. I can't say enough about the staff at The White Room!! They have gone out of their way to provide a special experience for my daughter from the moment we entered the boutique and were offered champagne to the day they walked the dress to the loading dock for our COVID-19 bride. Our guide for the shopping day, Peggine, was both helpful and knowledgeable while guiding my daughter during her dress selection. It was a fun day and we left with the perfect dress purchased! Our daughter is in the unfortunate club of COVID brides. While working to find a solution for the banned gatherings, I spoke to Nikki several times. This place is so pretty, I went here to try on wedding gowns for my wedding next year, they treated us super well, we had our own room and water and really cute couches and the like. And they let us look around first before pulling gowns which I really liked. Highly recommend the White Room. It is utterly impossible to meet Carmen and not have a wonderful experience at The White Room. First off The White Room has an incredible mix of designers that cover a wide range of styles. I found some of the other bridal shops lean into one style more than another, I.g. Boho or modern. Even though I thought I knew what I wanted I end up needing to try on different styles to really know. The White room was great at really listening to me but also pushing me a little to try things I wasn't initially sure on. Secondly, Carmen, the owner of The White Room is amazing! She is often out on the floor helping brides or there to check you in when you arrive. Her genuine bubbly and spunky personality makes you feel like she's a life long friend helping you out! Her and her teams level of service is superior and comforting. During my bridal appointment my sister snagged her veil (my something borrowed) on the zipper of the garment bag as she was taking it out for me to try on. Carmen took a quick look, told us not to worry and that she would mend it herself. I began my search around a few of Mpls' bridal shops that had been recommended to me by girlfriends. I am an extremely low-maintenance bride who wasn't into the idea of shopping for or buying a traditional wedding dress. My niece and mom wanted the experience so I agreed to let them pull me around town from shop to shop. The White Room was our last stop and while my experiences throughout the day were fine I didn't have any specific expectations. It took us a bit to locate the loft within the building but once we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. Little things that made an impression on the first visit: 1. has a great small shop feel, signature fragrance burning (that is lovely), artistic display upon entry, open floor plan with a ton of natural light, small selection of dresses that is impeccably curated. 2. Warm greeting from Carmen, I instantly felt like I had made a friend. 3. Great customer service. My mom and niece pulled some dresses for me and Carmen asked if she could as well -- I agreed. She gave me space to get dressed and was available to help but wasn't pushy at all. 4. The dress. I ended up trying on 3-5 dresses there I think and the one I ended up buying was the one she pulled for me. She narrowed in on my style immediately and found the perfect one at a great price point. I returned four more times, one to try the dress on and make the final decision to purchase it and two more for fittings and one quick final visit to pick it up. Each time was a breeze scheduling the appointment, getting in and out of the building and parking and paying via mobile device. They even gave me a sweet gift on my way out. I started my wedding dress shopping in South Dakota where I live. After having an appointment at all 5 bridal shops in Sioux Falls and not one dress speaking to me, I decided I needed to start searching elsewhere. So I decided to take my Mom and two of my best Maids to Minneapolis for a fun weekend and start searching. We had a weekend full of wedding dress appointments - 7 to be exact. 2 on Friday, 3 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. All of the bridal salons I visited were pleasant, all of them were beautiful shops with gorgeous dresses, I felt comfortable at every shop and all of the consultants I worked with were eager to help and were super friendly. Now, with that being said, The White Room was on a whole different level. It was my 6th appointment - first one on Sunday morning and 1 left after that then we were headed back to South Dakota. I walked in and I was greeted with wide open arms and the biggest, warmest hug from Carmen, the shop owner. I instantly felt a connection with Carmen and with the shop and I definitely felt special. The selection of dresses here is small, however, each dress is absolutely stunning, unique and every single dress demanded attention from the moment you just glanced at it hanging on the rack. I tried on about 4-5 dresses I think and then the last dress I tried on was THE ONE. I had an unforgettable moment with my Mother and 2 Maids, we cried, we hugged and we cried some more. Carmen popped open a bottle of champagne and poured 4 glasses for us. It was so magical. I'll never forget it. AMAZING, One of a Kind Dresses and Wonderful Team!!! I don't even know where to begin on my overall experience I had when I worked with the Carmen and her team at The White Room. I not unlike most brides was looking for the "experience" when shopping for my dress. As the day went on, I became discouraged. I wasn't feeling special, I didn't have that dress that made me cry and at one point it became so overwhelming, I wanted to stop. TWR was our last stop of the day. The boutique is intimate and unique with a very cool vibe. We were greeted at the door by Carmen, a sweet, funny and energetic soul (who I later found out was the owner). She got my guests and I situated and brought us sparking wine. She was so helpful on how to begin looking for a dress, understanding what I was looking for and then allowing me to look through the beautiful and one of a kind dresses. I had never seen such gorgeous dresses, except in the bridal couture magazines. I found my dream dress that I have always imagined. There are so many stresses in planning a wedding. This is the ONE recommendation I would have for the bride-to-be. TWR will handle the fittings in house and answer any questions on alterations. read more
