I went to the Cheap Maggie's in Gillette, NJ. I will start by saying that do not come to cheap Maggie's expecting thrift shop prices because you will not get that. I believe cheap Maggie's is a store where they purchase overstock products and sell them in their store for a discounted price. For example they had UGG shoes on sale for $59.99. I purchased a timberland belt for $17.99. My mother brought a three items and she was given a $10 discount on each item and she paid a total of $114.97 for three items. Overall, I'm assuming the prices are fair because they are cheaper than what you would purchase them for at the actual store that they come from. I saw items from stores like Lululemon, American Eagle, UGG, and Bloomingdale's. I feel like you could find some cute items here you just have to take the time to actually look through the racks. As for the sizing I felt like I saw a lot of smaller sizes. I saw some large sizes but not many XL. Also, I don't recall seeing any plus sizes. read more

This was my first time visiting Cheap Maggie's, and the experience was a mix of curiosity and caution. When I first walked in, I went to the side of the store that has shoes and miscellaneous items. The floor in that section was noticeably dirty, and there was a damp smell in the air, which made me uncomfortable enough to move on quickly. The other side of the store was much better and had most of the clothing. They have a men's section and a women's section, along with racks labeled for certain brands. Some racks weren't labeled at all, so you really have to take your time and look through everything individually to find pieces that stand out to you. Toward the back of the women's side, there's a shoe area, plus a children's section, lingerie, and hosiery. There's definitely a lot to browse through if you're in the mood to hunt for deals. I ended up finding a T‑shirt, a top, some trouser socks, and a couple of men's ties. I didn't see a large amount that I personally wanted to purchase, but there were a few decent finds. The store attendant -- possibly the manager -- was extremely pleasant and gracious. They offered me 10% off my total since it was my first visit, which I really appreciated. Would I return? Possibly, but more for a few small pieces rather than a full shopping trip. It's the kind of store where you might find a gem if you're willing to sort through a lot of inventory. read more

Went on a hunt for this store after passing a sign and the location was shut down. Worth the trip. So many great retails: Polo, Vineyard, Nike, Ugg, Tory Burch, Lululemon, Sandro and the list goes on and on. The staff was helpful in finding additional sizes and reasonably priced. I will say the store has a lot of inventory for all including home and baby making it a bit hard to get around the aisles. read more

Oh Maggie with your low low bargain basement prices and your thrift store smell that fills the entire store. You must be one heck of a Woman! Selling me things that I never knew I needed before but now I need. You know my needs better than I, Maggie. It's as If you get me ya know, (sighs). Such a huge Fan of this store as if you couldn't already tell. They have great prices on clothing, household items, nick nacks, footwear and even vinyl records. This place will certainly feed my ravenous appetite for shopping. I was (pleasantly) shocked at how inexpensive Cheap Maggie's sells their merchandise for. Every time I visit, there's fun and trendy things to buy. They have a great collection of LPs/Records, as well as inexpensive and cute turntables, for the closeted hipsters like myself. I highly recommend stopping by, if you need a gift for yourself or Someone else. They also have a great collection of clothing, shoes and accessories. read more

Not bad... This is one of those places where if you're there on a good day and you have the energy and patience to sift through racks upon racks of clothing, you will find some hidden gems. It's not as cheap as I would have hoped, considering most of this stuff looks like throwaway old season clothing from a throwaway old season clothing store (re: the majority of the items looked like things that TJ Maxx couldn't sell and just tossed) but it is possible to get some okay things. read more

I have found many awesome finds at the Hoboken location so I was excited when this much bigger store opened closer to my home. It's not for everyone. My husband hates this store since you literally have to look through every item since they have one or two of most items. However I like shopping that way! You have to look for the better brands since they have American eagle, urban, wet seal etc which I'm not interested in. I go for the anthropologie, free people, etc. I bought a gorgeous bailey44 tulle skirt for 24.99! I will say they need to clearance out items if they don't sell instead of holding onto them - I see the same shoes they have had at the Hoboken location for like 3 years!! read more

Amazing deals. Got $400 boots for $60. My go to place for a shirt, sweater, boxers, and socks. They have my size in jeans from time to time. All named brand for super cheap. No issues with the shirts, jeans, or sweaters that I have purchased. read more

This place was crazy, in a really cool way. It looked like a thrift shop, but everything was new and they had tons of fun products from assorted brands everywhere. They had a whole lot of new Crosley record players for $25 bucks, when I remember them being $80-$100+ on average in a new state. They had Ray-Bans, assorted home goods, phone accessories, and just cool things around the store. The vinyls were a little beat up looking, but they had new albums like Solange's "A Seat at the Table" and other assorted indie pop, pop, etc. in the bin for 2 for $15. I'm gonna assume it's like out of season products but still, amazing finds and prices overall. We accidentally stumbled upon it when going to the Minado buffet next door. If you're looking for some mid-market basics (e.g., t-shirts, jeans), not a terrible place to shop. However, the selection is underwhelming -- at least in men's, it is mostly inventory being sourced from Urban Outfitters and American Eagle, with a smattering of some better (e.g., Polo Ralph Lauren, and Peter Millar), and some lower end brands mixed in. Additionally, for what is supposedly a brand new store, the flooring, racks, etc. are dirty and dilapidated, making the store feel more like a Goodwill than an off-price store selling new merchandise. Good for a stop in if you need a few things, but not a place I will be visiting again anytime soon. That said, if you guys need help merchandising, feel free to give me a ring. read more
