DO NOT BUY HERE! NEVER AGAIN. I bought ammo from these jokers, that was clearly described on their website as brass case, it's the armscor 22 wmr they offer if you want to check it yourself. This ammo is NOT brass case, it's nickel plated, I would not have bought it, they don't allow it at the range I'm a member of. When I pointed this out, their response was not an apology, not a promise to fix the description, but a lengthy discussion of why my range should allow that ammo and what bimetal ammo is. The issue is quite simple, and does not involve the definition of bimetal (which dictionary.com defines rather succinctly), or what the rules at my local range are. The issue is I purchased a lion on the website, but a zebra was delivered to my house. What a complete A-hole I had the unfortunate experience of exchanging emails with trying to resolve too. Smug, snarky, implying I was stupid. I didn't say I can't shoot that ammo at my range, my range did In short, I got the middle finger. I will be taking up the bait and switch with consumer organizations and the attorney generals office. This retailer used to have good prices and supplies for enthusiasts. Many times they had military surplus items, new surplus, various ammo from around the world. They would have gear and supplies that were reputable or closely mimic those at competitive prices. They're not so competitive on price anymore. The products are not unique or particularly good for the prices charged. It's good that they are another option for products and I appreciate that by itself, but they are far from my first choice because they are not "Cheaper." read more

I ordered 500 rounds of Armscor 9mm from them. The shipment was delayed a week, and when I finally did receive it several of the boxes were empty, and a couple others half full. There was also 3 boxes of ammo that I did not order. They quickly said they would make it right, and said they would ship a cheaper brand of ammo but let me keep the armscor I already received. I know this stuff takes time, but its too much now, weeks have gone by. They still have not even shipped my replacement ammo. There customer service person, Tonya, is basically illiterate. I ordered several boxes of ammo and when it was received, I noticed that the shell casings/ cartridges were USED and discolored. This was never disclosed prior to purchase. for 5 years cheaper than dirt was my only supplier for guns and ammo earlier this years service got very poor, customer service forgot the meaning of service and forgot what a customer was and considered then just a problem they had to deal with aprox Aug of 2020 i placed a very nice order over $1000 it was just sitting in limbo, 5 weeks later i called and they had no explanition or future ship date. i cancelled order with authorization for customer service. some customer sevice manager overruled the agents promise to me and manager shipped anyway out of clear sky they shipped after i cancelled with authorization she demanded me to accept and threatened for force me to accept it got unprofessional on both sides, i had already ordered from another supplier. after several day of conversation the manager got mad and agreeded not to ship i lost they from that day would never ship my future orders. they accepted but would not ship and eventually they advised me they blackballed me refused to ship all future order, they would accept but just not notify me or ship product. yes its a sellers market but it will shift. they thank they are the only supplier, they have forgotten their roots and what made them successful they should remember service is vital but customers are mandatory and essential i had 2000 -$3000 in orders approximately sitting they and they advise not going to ship its there middle management they got the big head. read more

Really disappointed in the way CTD spiraled. When I was new into firearms, they were my primary source of on-line ammo. Always good selection and reasonable shipping (although different fees for different warehouses did not make sense). Now they are ridiculous - $100.00 for a 50 rd box of .38 special! I've been buying ammo from these guys for a while now, and while they often have supply when others don't, I'm afraid that I have to agree with the other reviewers here . . . it's just not worth dealing with them. They're starting to play games by limiting the number of items per purchase to one box per order, so that they can ding you for their already high shipping prices, and despite those high shipping charges, their orders often take 8-10 days to be delivered. Then to top it off, in reccent weeks, they're asking 20-30% more for a given box of ammo, that can be had almost anywhere else for far less. So all-in-all, they're just not competitive. read more

CTD was at one time a good outfit, have used them in the past, and no more. CTD is a jobber for some suppliers. You purchase a firearm and wait, you think all is OK. You then get a notice that the supplier of the item will not ship to a home-based FFL. You are given a list of pawnshops the will accept the item. The reason that I was given was UPS does not know what is in the package and will leave it with the neighbors. So it looks like a firearm shipment can be left with the man on the corner or anyone. I made a purchase after being told by Sarah p that she had released the credit I called my card company to find out they did not release the credit so then I called cheaperthandirt again waited on line for over 27 minutes before someone finally answered he transferred me to Sarah p who then told me it takes my bank 2 to 3 days to credit back the money which is not right because I just talked to my bank and they said as soon as cheaperthandirt release the funds they would put it back on my card and I know this is possible because I have made plenty of purchases with primary arms and never had any issues. I would give this company a negative number if I could. I bought 4 boxes at $240 plus shipping of low sodium MRE's that turned out high sugar arrived late. They are MRE's so the date shouldn't matter right? When I inspected the packaging it looked like some meth head in his mom's garage out of Portland opened up some stale generic single serving oatmeal boxes and a generic stale pop tart from the food bank and placed one package each in plus a little tootsie roll and sealed and half sealed them in a thin plastic seal a meal kit. The MRE's are so stale that I wanted to send them back. They are supposed to be good for 25 years. The customer service rep stated no returns on food or ammo. I understand but what if the food is no good to begin with. Well it doesn't matter food is a carbohydrate to fuel the body so it doesn't matter if it's stale or not.
