    Thai Stick sandwich.
    Jennifer J.

We were looking for a late day lunch in the Ham, and Cheba Hut has been on my radar for awhile. So we headed down on a snowy Friday and shared a 12" Thai style sub and a couple of cold beers. The sub was great, though it had more of a teriyaki vibe than any Thai notes. Still, it was loaded with chicken and veggies, and the two of us couldn't even finish it. Glad we shared! When we noticed they had Georgetown Brewing beers on tap, we grabbed a Manny's and a Bodhi and didn't look back. While Cheba Hut is a fast-growing chain restaurant, they've done a great job of looking very local with their vibe and decor. They definitely fit right in at this Old Town Bham location. Giving them an extra star for the seriously friendly, amazing, and lightning fast service.

Hey, i just wanted to clarify based upon owners response, which i appreciate. For the price, the food was a good value. Although priced at or above those national chains, i was able to get two meals per sandwich. As for wait times, that was my issues with online ordering, not the staff. it's hard to know when to submit the order when you are driving up from whidby island. Once i let the staff know i was there, they were pretty quick to complete my order. i'm surprised the place wasn't packed. It's a totally cool neighborhood space (third space right?), i would hang out if i lived nearby. but i would chat with them about the sound levels, there is a reason old guys like me have hearing loss.

My brother recommended we try this spot for lunch recently and it was delicious! I love a toasted sub and the creations on their menu all sounded really good. I opted for the buffalo chicken sub and it was so yummy. Even with delivery, my order was still hot upon arrival. The sub was loaded with ingredients and I really liked their wheat bread. This is definitely a yummy spot!

Me and my girlfriends stopped by for lunch. Very friendly and competent staff and delicious food! I had the AK-47 (French Dip), and my friends had the Midwest Best (Club) and Pakalolo (ham, Swiss, pineapple). We also enjoyed the bar and enjoyed the Dirty Hippies.

So happy to see Cheba in Washington! Coming from Colorado, it was nice to have a taste of home. The sandwich had toasted bread, as promised, and the ingredients tasted fresh. Since we got the kali club, I'm glad it actually had a bit of a kick! I love how extensive their menu is, it's always hard to choose what sandwich to get! It was a bit busy since we came on a Friday afternoon around lunch time. We got our food 10-15 minutes after ordering. This location had plenty of seating. Some of the best sandwiches ever!

Sandwiches are great. There is also a bar. The decor is pretty marijuana focused. I got the 5-0 (all pork products).

Why did you legit put the smallest pickle you could find on my Sammy?

Oh man do I hate to have to write this. I'm a legit loyal fan of this place. The recipes are off the chain. The location is a design dream every time I'm in there the bartender is super awesome, but they lack consistency. If I'm in front of their face, the food is great if I order it to my house I don't get my full order (missing chips, missing ingredients) or I get lied to by the people I talk to to let them know. I was told by "the manager that I would be getting a refund for chips that were not given to me in my order and never received it". I called back and was told it was never processed. I have ordered delivery to my house at least seven times and half of those times they forget banana peppers or give me three pieces of wilted lettuce. If I'm paying $26. (Cause I tip) for a tiny sandwich Kool-Aid and chips I expect my sandwich to at least have more than two pieces of wilted lettuce. someone please tell your employees that if they don't like their job, they can go somewhere else because I'm starting to not want to spend money here any longer.

I thought they are just subs, but it turned out they are tasty subs. Bread was perfectly toasted and fluffy inside.

So, here is the goods on this place. First, the first thing is you come and the place is incredibly welcoming, fun, and good music. The people are so friendly and we talked to the bartender a bit and they were lovely! Now, the food... I am not usually a sandwich person, and I have to make sure I have hot sandwiches due to being immunocompromised, and this place provides that. Even more important, my sandwich is delicious! I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, and between the yummy buffalo, white chicken, and yummy veg, this was one of the best sandwiches I have had in ages. Brilliant food, and great concept! 420!

Inspired sandwiches in Bellingham. They have an fun herbal theme, but the food is all business. I had the white widow nug (4" Sammy). Ranch, chicken, and bacon. It should have been just good. But the seasoning made it excellent! I can't explain why this chip flavored sandwich is so good. The bits were all of good quality and fresh, the sum of the whole is greater than the parts. They are super nice, the service is quick and efficient, and they welcome anyone that welcomes everyone.

This restaurant is fairly new and is located where the old Rocket Donuts once was. They offer toasted premium subs. For me, the quality of the subs do not seem to justify the high prices. I like Potbelly's better. Cheba Hut's subs taste rather bland and overly cheesy. Parking, even metered spots, are hard to find near this restaurant.

The decor was fun, we took up the tables in the space themed room for a private party feel. There main room had wooden tables that had a vintage school vibe- great for smaller groups or couples. There's plenty of street parking but the stairs leading up to The Orion does make it less accessible to some folks. The night I came here, I only took shots that the best man of the wedding party bought for everyone - so not much to review there. The prices of their cocktails were a few dollars off from being cheap at $7-9. I did have a sip of the cucumber cocktail and the cucumber taste was very strong- I liked it! I was really surprised by the food options here! Without the food at The Orion, who knows what my hangover after a weekend of wedding drinking would've been?! They have various hot dogs, including vegan options! I got the trash dog and it is every drunk person's dream dog. They also had toppings to customize your dog- relish, mustards (all different types!), onions, ketchup, etc. The ratio of hotdog to bun was bread heavy and they had a water jug right next to the front door- greats points for the Orion on balancing out the negative affects of alcohol. The night we came in was a Sunday and the bartender was a one man show. He checked IDs, made food and drinks! Service was a little slow because of that, but overall a great experience at The Orion!

They have a nice selection of taps (including more than just beer), some vintage video games, and offer live music regularly. On our most recent visit, we found one of our fave local musicians, Michael Dayvid, playing and managed to snag a cozy seat in the front row. We sipped our pints (I got an amber, Dude got an IPA) and enjoyed the show - right after a rousing game of Pac Man, of course. This is large space, so there's seating in the back if you don't want to be front row for the music. The service is friendly, too. Parking can be a little challenging, as it's only street parking, but it's not too bad. In a town that has a lot of breweries, but could use a few more cozy taphouses, Corner Taphouse fills a niche (especially in the Fairhaven area). I hope they continue to thrive!

Wonderful food and drinks. I started with oyster shooters (Willapa Bay) along with a Lion's Tail cocktail. Sierra said the bourbon and lime complement each other. I was happy to see steamed clams on the menu. I grew up eating fresh steamed seafood for dinner, so battered fried seafood that is more common here hasn't really grown on me yet. The sauce is full of umami flavor, drizzled with some fresh lemon juice, it was like a summery beachy afternoon in a bowl. I could easily dip a loaf of toast with it if I had one. The clams were fresh and meaty, nothing to complain about with this dish. My partner had the grilled cheese, and he said it was mid.
