AVOID THIS SO-CALLED COMPANY AT ALL COST!…read more We trusted Taxperts with our tax preparation for several years and paid them to prepare and file our tax returns. We recently discovered that they never filed our returns from two years ago, despite being paid to do so. I only found out after contacting the IRS to resolve an issue with being charged hundreds of dollars in penalties and interest all due to Taxperts. Because of Taxperts failure to file our return, we were assessed IRS penalties and interest that we should never have had to pay. Melissa repeatedly promised to reimburse us for those penalties and interest but never followed through. After months of excuses and broken promises, we have received nothing. The IRS provides IRS Form 14157 specifically for reporting tax return preparer misconduct, and we have been forced to pursue that process. This is classified as crimal behavior. Based on our experience, I would never trust this company with my tax returns or my personal financial information. If they failed to file our return without our knowledge, it raises serious concerns about their professionalism, accountability, and the handling of sensitive client information. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to think twice before giving them access to your financial records.

Melissa said she was fully booked but that I should upload my documents and she would have her associate review them for me. Imagine my surprise afterwards, when my invoice included a $50 "rush" fee, that was never mentioned during our initial conversation. A heads up would have been appreciated and that is exactly what I said to her, but she didn't care enough to respond. Had I been extended that courtesy, I would have still had time to go elsewhere. I never once used the words "rush", "expedite" or "hurry" and since I still had a full week before the tax deadline, there was absolutely no need for me to have made such a request. Another issue is the lack of communication. My mom had reached out and asked for assistance with some tax forms. After weeks of silence, I also reached out with a text, email and even voicemail...all were ignored. After months with no response, Melissa finally replied that she had been ill but was feeling better. I then repeated my mom's request for help and was again ignored. Never heard back from her. Who needs that kind of treatment, especially after being loyal clients for 6 years?

They've played a big part in the success of me operating my small business. They are honest and offer the best value. I am quite blessed to have found them. They do our bookkeeping, payroll, S-Corp business tax filings, and personal taxes. They've also helped us prepare the necessary paperwork to get our business appraised. She is very organized and has attention to detail, very friendly and love that we get to say hi to their fur babies when we visit her office. It's such a great vibe.

Cheryl Ross did not submit the corporate returns until 2025, resulting in penalties totaling $3,340.58. Our business has operated since 2003, and we have never been late filing our corporate taxes. We dropped off our corporate documents and personal tax documents together, each in clearly labeled envelopes. Despite this, the preparer stated she "didn't know" she was supposed to prepare and file the corporate return--something we believe is inconsistent with the facts, given that she had the documents in her possession. Additionally, she is not a CPA, yet there was no required signage at her place of business indicating this. She accepted payment for tax preparation services, and we are now facing more than $3,400 in IRS penalties as a result of the late filing. Based on our experience, taxpayers should be aware that the IRS holds the taxpayer--not the preparer--responsible for penalties, even when the preparer makes an error or oversight. Unfortunately, we learned this the hard way. We recommend choosing a qualified CPA to avoid similar issues and to ensure accountability and proper filing.

With a new job and scrambling to get back on their feet, they needed to pull out all the stops and see what they could do to scrape things together. With their credit in shambles and having just a little bit to get by to get their head above water, my friend did his research and resorted to the dreaded of all loan types - a car title loan. Collateral based loans can be tricky. Having worked in the financial industry for the latter part of my career, when my friend told me about it, I cringed. But I promised to help as best as I could by lending what financial wherewithal I could give. Of all the car title loans that we could scour the internet, one came up consistently on top with its reviews and reputation. I accompanied my friend and we were greeted by Maggie. She did a quick evaluation of my friend's vehicle (paid off and luxury model) and was able to secure a loan in excess of $5k. Here's the kicker - the interest rate was only 9%. In Las Vegas. I couldn't believe it. He and I combed through the internet together, calling banks and credit unions - only to be presented with offers that started at 16%. One offer came back at 32%. Highway robbery, if you ask me. As can be expected, he and I went through the terms carefully and saw that it was legit. While this experience wasn't directly my own, I feel like I can make a personal recommendation due to my close involvement to help my bud out of a bad situation. I highly recommend Maggie and USA Money.
