AVOID THIS SO-CALLED COMPANY AT ALL COST! We trusted Taxperts with our tax preparation for several years and paid them to prepare and file our tax returns. We recently discovered that they never filed our returns from two years ago, despite being paid to do so. I only found out after contacting the IRS to resolve an issue with being charged hundreds of dollars in penalties and interest all due to Taxperts. Because of Taxperts failure to file our return, we were assessed IRS penalties and interest that we should never have had to pay. Melissa repeatedly promised to reimburse us for those penalties and interest but never followed through. After months of excuses and broken promises, we have received nothing. The IRS provides IRS Form 14157 specifically for reporting tax return preparer misconduct, and we have been forced to pursue that process. This is classified as crimal behavior. Based on our experience, I would never trust this company with my tax returns or my personal financial information. If they failed to file our return without our knowledge, it raises serious concerns about their professionalism, accountability, and the handling of sensitive client information. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to think twice before giving them access to your financial records. read more

Questionable ethics, will not be going back. Last year, I tried to make an appointment on April 8th. Melissa said she was fully booked but that I should upload my documents and she would have her associate review them for me. Imagine my surprise afterwards, when my invoice included a $50 "rush" fee, that was never mentioned during our initial conversation. A heads up would have been appreciated and that is exactly what I said to her, but she didn't care enough to respond. Had I been extended that courtesy, I would have still had time to go elsewhere. I never once used the words "rush", "expedite" or "hurry" and since I still had a full week before the tax deadline, there was absolutely no need for me to have made such a request. Another issue is the lack of communication. My mom had reached out and asked for assistance with some tax forms. After weeks of silence, I also reached out with a text, email and even voicemail...all were ignored. After months with no response, Melissa finally replied that she had been ill but was feeling better. I then repeated my mom's request for help and was again ignored. Never heard back from her. Who needs that kind of treatment, especially after being loyal clients for 6 years? read more

Definitely needs communication skills. I understand things are busy during tax season but when im continuously hounding her and she continues to say she'll call me back after her next appointment and then never does. She has my tax papers hostage and she isn't even at the office. Ive left over 5 voicemails and gone to her office and she told me 2 weeks ago she would call me back after her 2 o clock appointment. I was charged a 100 dollar fee for an extension I didnt need an extension I could have done my own taxes and it would have e been on time, but it was Melissa who was behind so she charged me a late fee. Now she's MIA and I dont know what to do. Definitely im going to HR Block as soon as she releases my tax papers and decides to come to work. read more

3/1/2025 We would just like to say that it was very enjoyable doing business with Melissa regarding our 2024 taxes. We were not sure where we were going to go to process our taxes when moving to Nevada, but we are sure now to use Melissa. Our tax appointment was right on time, organized and most importantly, accurate. Tax refund sent electronically 2/20 and funds received 3/1. Lacks communication skills. I contacted her on 4/12 to request information on filing business taxes. I understand this was last minute and had no problem waiting until Melissa was available to begin working on our files. In our initial phone conversation we scheduled an appointment to file an extension. All further communication was handled over text message. She never requested any information from me. There was a mix up with the extension appointment and we missed it, my daughter contacted Melissa to reschedule. Melissa informed her that I hadn't provided any information. She stated that because of this she was unable to complete the extension paperwork however Melissa never requested any information from me when we spoke over the phone nor by text message. I reached out to Melissa by text message three times on three different days to find out what information she needed. Unbeknownst to me it just so happened that I contacted her on the final day to file the extension. When I finally get a response that day and provided the information needed she requests a credit card to pay for the extension. Since she already confirmed that we needed to come in the office to sign the extension paperwork in order to submit it I asked her if we could submit payment when we arrived at the office instead of texting or emailing the credit card information. Long story short, the paperwork never gets filed, and we're left to find someone else to handle the taxes. I understand that this was all last minute and tax season is pretty hectic and crazy. That being said, if you're too overwhelmed and unable to provide the level of service that a potential client requires then perhaps you should communicate that so better assistance can be found elsewhere. read more

Working with TaxpertsLV was actually better than GREAT. Absolutely "FANTABULOUS", and on a scale of 1 to 10, you guys are a 15 in my book. The session was not long at all. A friendly atmosphere and humble attitudes make for a comfortable and rewarding sit-down and do your taxes. The staff has a well-rounded knowledge of tax laws, both for the past and future situations. I highly recommend this firm for all things taxes or IRS. I had not done my 2020 or 2021 taxes and they quickly, efficiently, and effectively completed the task in under an hour.
