Net Spend is the worst, not Check City...the ladies in the office are wonderful. Once again Net Spend is holding my money hostage. They say I have had fraud on my account which is not true.I had them transfer money to my account from some mystery that I do not have access to on Tuesday, 3/11 and I didn't attempt to make any more transactions until Friday, 3/14. At that time they blocked my card and I just have to wait to get a new card. This is the worst check city location in all of las vegas. I travel all of las vegas for work and go to the nearest check city location at the moment. I have been to this location N20 before and even though they have at least 4 or 5 people working in there they can't seem to do things in a timely manner. One time there was a hold on my account at a different location and these people couldn't figure out a way to clear it and said I need to go get that cleared at that location. I just went down the street to another location and they made some calls and cleared it like they are supposed to do. Then today I went to take out a loan and they said there was a note saying I am supposed to bring in my new paycheck stub. Like any normal person I don't carry my paycheck stubs around so I told them I'll bring it next time. After a few minutes of deliberating and going back and forth between the managers I could see I will be there for a while and probably be denied like the last time they didn't know how to resolve the issue so I asked for my card back and just went to another branch again (n26) and Of course within minutes at the other location I was given my loan and asked to bring in my paystub next time. ​ I borrow too much money from check city to have to deal with nonsense. Everything was horrible about my visit earlier today. I came in with a check to cash, two tellers were at the desk one completely free just lallygagging around while I was waiting, meanwhile the heavy set lady at the desk was telling me she would be right with me, whole time she was doing nothing trying to fix her attitude. Finally I get to the desk apologizing for coming in late (7:30), again she hits me with an attitude while trying to explain she can't guarantee to cash the check. So then she proceeds to take my check and hold it while I'm trying to complete an application, once I finish the application, she takes it and proceeds to tell me she can't contact the owner of the business that gave me the check, just because she didn't want to. So I tried to explain that it's fine and that I can contact him right in front of her to verify any info she needed. She then proceeded to say no because of the mailing address, but even then I tried to explain that he has a different address on his website for deliveries but she was just cutting me off telling me that she's not doing it. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I came in to cash a payroll check and a money order and a black gentleman with a Mohawk was extremely rude. He charged me 5% when he was only suppose to do 1.9%. I explained to him that my check was a payroll check and he called the company to verify however he kept adding more unnecessary stipulations after admitting that my check was a payroll check. When I explained to him his error he shoved my check back underneath and told me to go to another bank. Was definitely unaware this business existed u til I had to cash a money order! No other bank would cash it, got to Check City where they did have me fill out an application with my personal information (Yes they ask for Social). Anyhow, glad I found them, I occasionally have to do a money order for a specific bill and was regularly going to Walmart where they charge $0.88 cents, plus waiting is usually well over 30 minutes. Which was always the most dreading part of getting my Money Order. Now thanks to Check City, I'm in and out in less than 10 minutes since their lines aren't as bad plus they do money orders for FREE. To my shock the nice teller gives me my dollar back and was even shook that I was waiting so long plus paying for my money orders. Now thanks to Check City getting a money order is one less thing to dread about every month. read more

Never will I come back here again. It took my teller 13 minutes to process a 3-5 minute transaction. Every other teller rotated 2 or 3 times while I sat and waited. If you go, don't go to Amber. Update: I was contacted by an employee a few days later. He explained that there was a technical malfunction, the teller now knows how to handle the problem if it should arise again, and they were sorry I had a negative experience. I went to this place to withdraw my money from my netspend card... and it was Amber ( the teller on duty) who processed my transactions ... but instead of 3 transactions , she did 4 transactions on my account and debited on my bank account on the spot.and as a result , I am short of one grand... and when I came back to the office ... I saw the manager leaving the place... and it was another teller named Ryan who's trying his best to help me ... now it's under investigation and accdg to Netspend Fraud Dept, it will take 10 business days to check where's my one grand now... I came here for the first time to purchase a money order. Terrible customer service!!! I was told to use the ATM because they do not accept cash, that was fine. However the ATM was not working properly. Instead of doing her job and coming out to assist with the transaction, I was told from behind the desk that maybe it's my card. Smh.. The air conditioning in this location has been out for at least a month. I asked the service counter girl to speak to a manager about it and she stuttered and said he was out of town. Then they tried to tell me some pre versed AC excuses. I work on ac units for one and Ive been in the place several summers to know the unit has functioned in the customer area just fine. I am appalled they would let their customers sit in sweltering heat 20-30 people at a time waiting in line sweating their B's off for over a month in the summer. The customer service has been exceptional over the past few years but this is ridiculous. Literally standing in this place RIGHT NOW! I walked in at noticed no one greeted me. There was no one in the front at all. So I coughed so they could hear that a customer had actually entered the building. Someone stood up, made EYE CONTACT WITH ME and said nothing. About 5 mins past while two employees stood silently counting money in the back. Then another employee appear from the back and helped me. While at the window he was not paying attention, talking to the other employees. I mistakenly thought he was talking to me, so I politely said "I'm sorry?"
