Their prices are ridiculous (tried to charge me $3900 for something that I was able to get done for $2400 at another shop) and more importantly and egregiously, they hold your car hostage and charge fees to look at your car without any prior warning. Took three days for them to get what was needed. All the while the bald guy was leading me to believe the parts were there. When I was goven my invoice, it was under a partially wrong name. The bald guy tried to lead me to believe it would be no problem. He also kept asking me for a DOT number on my non-commercial vehicle. He looked and acted clueless. Never again. read more

Took my Hyundai Tucson in because I thought I had a broken tie rod. Turned out, my tires were SO bad that my car was literally shaking when I drove it. Bill and his team worked me in to their very busy schedule quickly and they replaced all four tires in well under two hours as I waited in their very comfortable reception area. The price was extremely competitive and in line with what the high-volume, chain shops charge but with outstanding expertise and friendly, personal service. I have also had oil changes across the street and am always very satisfied. This place is top-notch. As an automotive-ignorant female, it would be easy to take advantage of me but I was referred to Check Point by a very close friend who I trust. I will never take my car anywhere else again. Tool my daughter's car in for what the dealer said was immediately needed front brake job. After a thorough inspection they let me know that both her front and rear brakes were in good condition and certainly not in need of replacement. This is my go to auto repair shop. They truly have a team that cares about those they serve. Our daughter just got out of college and had taken her car in for repair. She was trying to stretch out it's useful life as long as she could. She took it in to check out an issue and got the call from Adam sharing with her. We can attempt to fix what you have wrong but it would be an$800 fix and there is no guarantee that the fix would eradicate the problem. If You were my daughter I would drive it as is and look for another vehicle. She took the advice and traded it off. Many auto service dealers that I have worked with in the past would simply have done the fix and taken her money. So glad we found them several years ago. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE CENTER! Took my Montero here at the recommendation of a friend and it is now in the shop getting an engine rebuild because 2 separate shops advised me that the harmonic balancer came off because the shop who installed it did it poorly. Additionally, they "diagnosed" another car of mine and it cost me $300 for them to tell me it couldn't be fixed and they put the parts in the back! When gathering estimates they are always reasonably priced and very helpful. We've used them several times, for small and large jobs, and have never had to return to have anything corrected. I had a VERY flat tire near Piper Glen and decided to chance limping back to Check Point instead of spending my day with AAA and online tire shopping. I'm glad I gave them a try. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they had my (obviously damaged beyond repair) tire replaced within a few hours. The staff selected a very good quality tire for me (which I confirmed later online), and didn't actually make much profit on either the tire or the labor and incidental costs. I am not car savvy and was in a tight spot, so it would have been easy for them to take advantage of me. I appreciate the fast, honest service and kind treatment. I hope I don't have a similar problem in the future, but if I do, I'll go back. read more
