Today I went to checkers with my boyfriend before a movie because the mall was unfortunately closed. I was so excited to eat good food at one of the coolest restaurants from my childhood, but when we ordered something was off... we were greeted by the voice of an AI ORDER TAKER !? This is BEYOND disappointing, not only was this offensive on so many levels, but the AI order taker was also incredibly INACCURATE! I ordered a combo and they only rung up the sandwich and drink. So now I am left without fries and my day is RUINED! Do better Checkers :( read more

Simply Terrible service. Didn't even get my food all because i ordered through the mobile app. They told me to drive around the building to the other lane although my food was 1 minute away from being done. I ended up asking what the problem really was but they just ended up voiding my order when they could have handed me my food that i paid for and sent me on my way... manager rude as hellfat black guy in there rude and doesnt know whats going on! The owner ( Indian man) at the drive thru window rude AF, with an extremely heavy accent, agreeing and taking people's money without getting the order correct. Horrible customer service. My mother was cussed out by night manager and employees only because she changed part of the order to correct her mistake. The entire time I was just sitting in the backseat listening to the entire thing. The woman even came out of the restaurant to come up to the car and tell us to pull away. Horrible customer service at this location. Was cussed out in front of grandkids on Saturday evening, 4-22-23 and told by night manager to move my wrinkled bi€h a$$ face on. Was cussed at using very strong vulgar language, mocked because I told her, I respected her and she should respect herself and me. Workers gathered to support her and joined in on the mocking and laughing. Never ever in my life have I ever been verbally attracted at an eating establishment. Needless to say, I could never go back and strongly recommend others no to go there unless you are able to handle what happened to me and my grandchildren. If I could do zero stars, I would. I did an online order because I didn't want to deal with the automated system they have for drive thru orders-yep, not a person. First, apparently, I was in the wrong line, on the ride side and should have gone to the left of bldg to reach over & grab food while I'm in the driver seat. Now, why would I do that when I drive on the left. So, I politely asked if I could still get my order at the window, the manager finally said yes & it was a one-time thing, ok, cool, thank you. Well, she gave me the wrong order. 2nd, they didn't have my order in the system that I placed at 1:27 & it was 1:48 and to give it a few more minutes. Ummm, nope just give me my money back. They couldn't give me my money back & told me I had to call the online order company. The OWNER, who is NOT American, but Indian (background) who is rude as F.....HELL, proceeded to tell me that I DON'T understand ENGLISH, and I need to get out of her line and wouldn't even let me speak, proceeded to speak over me until I decided it was best for me to get out of that line. Some people don't deserve to work in customer service and the OWNER is teaching her employees that it's okay to speak to people in that manner. It only takes one time for me to cut you off. I liked my burger, but this place is more ghetto than the Checkers in my home town, which is pretty damned ghetto. The bathroom was out of order, which meant that I couldn't wash my hands before eating. The people were nice enough...not exactly rude, but not exemplars of customer service. We (you and I and everybody else familiar with the chain) don't have stellar expectations when we pull into a Checkers, but I expected better from this one. read more

Checkers is probably one of my top fave fast food places (I'm pretty sure they still use fry oil that's filled with transfats, hence why they are so ridiculously friggin' tasty). This was my first time going through the drive-thru at this particular Checkers, and it was surprisingly clean. I had plenty of time to check it out while waiting for my order...yes, that's code for "it took awhile." Somehow we did not pick the winning drive-thru side. While we waited for one person to put in their order, I watched no less than 3 cars on the other side have orders taken. She must've been ordering for an army or something. Anyway, it finally came time for us to put our order in. No problems there. Then we pulled up for our food and waited. Drinks came. We waited some more. They fried some stuff (this is where I checked out how clean things inside were looking -- I was impressed, BUT the kid who was frying food was also working the register...and not wearing sanitation gloves on his hands. Minus two stars for that lack of food safety protection.). Finally we got our food. The fries were so good...worth every greasy, artery-clogging bite! My burger was pretty good (altho, it made me wonder...perhaps Topp's Sports Bar and Grill offers better double cheeseburgers for marginally more money?). It's a Checkers. It's fast food. It's what you'd expect. My one suggestion would be to carefully select which side you go through on the drive-thru and don't pay with cash (you'll feel better knowing that about the whole missing-glove-situation). read more

Although the food & service have been great, the look of the exterior might need some TLC. In their defense though, there is some construction going on around this location, however the trees potted for the store are dead, driveway looks beaten down, and the building might need a fresh coat of paint. I can never complain about checkers due to the only time I'am able to buy it is once I visit down south. I LOVE their fries perfectly seasoned and cooked. And the burgers are always juicy and seasoned. I also order the fish sandwich everytime I order just because I believe it is the best fish sandwich out of all the fast food restaurants. read more

The worst experience I've ever had at a fast food restaurant, hands down. First off, the girl flung open the window and just stared at me, didn't say a word. So I had a coupon on my phone to scan and she took my entire phone into the window just to scan it....that has literally never happened to me anywhere else so of course I'm watching to make sure she doesn't run off with it. She then hands me my change halfway out the window so I have to reach for it and gives me my bag, then slams the window shut. She never spoke a word to me besides telling me what my total was after my coupon. She didn't give me a receipt so I have no idea what her name was but I will never be back to this location solely because of her disgusting attitude especially when I did absolutely nothing to deserve it. They need to fire her ASAP, no one should ever be treated that way at a place where they are spending their money. read more

Yesterday I went to the Checkers at Hwy 92 and Hospital Dr in Douglasville, Ga. I got the Big Buford combo. The only other thing I had eaten was that morning 2 pieces of toast and a large coffee. Around 6 my stomach started an attack you would not believe. I will spare you the details but lets just say I was in distress from both ends. This is the second time this has happened to me, last year I stopped going to Checkers because of the one in Hiram, but I will never ever ever ever eat at another Checkers I am out. read more

well i guess they are under new management now...i happen to think they are way above the average fast food. i have been going there for the past six months..a few times each week. the place is clean. the food fresh and tasty and always very prompt. customer service, counter people extremely pleasant and knowledgable about the food. and their health food inspection scored close to 100%. that alone is impressive. check this place out....food is reasonably priced and GOOD. !!! read more
