When my order was brought out, the employee handed me what was only about a half-filled gallon bag of tea and casually told me they had run out of tea in the back. He then instructed me to fill the rest of the gallon myself using the self-serve tea station. I was so confused that I asked him again to make sure I heard him correctly. He repeated that I needed to pour the remaining tea myself. Absolutely not. If I'm paying for a gallon of tea, I shouldn't be expected to finish preparing my own order. I declined and requested a refund for the tea. Only then did he say, "I can do it for you." At that point, the issue wasn't the tea it was the poor customer service and lack of professionalism. Then the manager came over and told me that if I wanted a refund, I would have to wait until 4:00 p.m. because she didn't have a "finger" for the register. When I asked what she meant, she explained she didn't have the authorization code because she was the manager from the Fairburn location and was working there temporarily. By that point, I had completely lost confidence in the service and told her to cancel my entire $35 order. She walked away briefly, came back, opened the register, and immediately refunded me in cash. That proved she could have simply refunded the tea from the beginning instead of creating unnecessary excuses and wasting my time. Not only my time but the customers waiting to be serviced in line behind me. The store was busy and loud for a Sunday afternoon. The entire situation was handled poorly. The employees came across as lazy and unwilling to provide basic customer service, and the manager did nothing to improve the experience. Customers should never be told to complete part of their own order after paying full price. I left without my food and won't be returning to this location.
