I sent my granddaughter to checkers because she was hungry and wanted a cheeseburger when she finally got home and started eating it. She found a nasty reddish colored eyelash in the middle of her hamburger. Needless to say this is unacceptable. So when she took it back, the manager said there's nothing he can do but give her a case number and somebody would be calling within 3 to 5 days. The food has always been good at this location compared to some of the others I've been to. This place is actually still FAST food unlike its competitors. It hurts me to write this since I LOOOOVE Checkers but...I've been coming here for a while but about 2 weeks ago, I came here for lunch (drive through). I ordered the 2 for $2.00 (chili dog and checker burger with added fries and soda. In my checker burger I found small piece of rubber tubing. I immediately called up the customer service number and told them about it. They took my name and number and asked me where this occurred and said someone from management would contact me. A little over 2 weeks later (right now), still haven't heard from anyone. Still have the piece of tubing wrapped in napkin in my car and have since taken pictures. My wife just went to buy our three year old son a milkshake and meal for dinner. The minute she asked for a shake, the drive thru clerk told her the machine isn't even working..... that was the whole point in going to checkers in the first place. Very disappointed with this location. I loved checkers food... Until I got it from here. My order was of course messed up and I was charged for quite a few things that I didn't order. I got it all sorted out at the window afterwards only to realize when I got home they had still shorted me a sandwich. My fault tho... I should have checked the order before leaving. To make it worse, it was the shift manager who was taking my order. Also had a box of fries and a box of chicken bites. Got to the bottom of the boxes only to find 2-3 hairs in each one. I haven't been that grossed out in a long time. Needless to say I WILL NOT be going back here ever. I will literally drive an extra 8 miles to a different one next time I get a craving for checkers. IDK who just took my order, but she was extremely rude... It's not my fault that their speaker is horrible and I can't hear her... Still no reason to be yelling at me like I'm her child... Complete silence after that for about 3 minutes and I kept saying hello. So I pulled up to the window where they had already finished up with the other side, I honked 2 times and employees looked at me and ignored me. My bun was cold the cheese was not melted the bacon was scarce and the condiments were minimal. You would think I ordered ten mins before they closed after a long hard day. I then called corporate because I don't' care if it's a burger or a churro or a five star steak you sell your customers should be happy. I was being rushed as I was trying to order, and I could barely hear anything through the speaker. So I didn't even get to order what I really wanted. When I got to the window and asked to add a drink, I was met with irritation and annoyance. Got my food, and while I was trying to check it, was told I needed to move because she was on a timer!!?? Meanwhile...THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE BEHIND ME! The soda was pure syrup, and I couldn't even drink it but I was definitely not trying to go back to deal with it to experience more hostility for poor quality and service, not worth it. On 8-20-16 was my first visit, and I must say I left very happy. I ordered a Steakzilla fries and small beverage. The drive thru was packed and the walk up wasn't. I must admit it took a while to get my order taken, but they were packed so I was OK. The woman who took my order was very friendly and did a great job. Lets get back to the important thing the product. The Steakzilla was huge and tasty as a bleep bleep. The fries were fresh and hot and tasty.
