Great food, great service, great atmosphere period. If you don't know anything about Cheddar's just know this, the honey buttered crescent rolls are the best pastry in the world. I've been to Cheddar's too many times to count & they never disappoint.

This is my last visit to this location. Food cold. No croissants offered. When we asked for the croissants and they were brought -one of them was burned. Why would you serve this to a customer? Server brought the ticket and disappeared. We went to the bar to pay our bill and left no tip for the server. Horrible service. The previous visit was on New Years Eve. Not busy at all. 40 minutes and no food. Their excuse was they were busy. One out of 5 tables were occupied!

Ew. Why on earth would anyone think they should send these home with anyone? My order was ready at 5:35 and I picked it up at 5:36 so there's no excuse. They were gross and I had to throw them out when I got home. So much for trying to do pick up orders there.

I used to love Cheddar's years ago, but either the quality has dropped or I've outgrown this place. I barely tasted the honey butter on the croissants. This is something I've noticed at other locations as well. There were only two in our party and we were placed in the bar area. The vibe seemed off, so maybe that took away from the experience as well. The frozen Margarita was huge for the price so I should have known it wouldn't have tasted like much. I had a Caesar salad and the monte cristo. There was way too much meat in it, so I couldn't taste the cheese or the battered crust on the outside. The accompanying jam was super sweet and overpowered the entire dish. Even though nothing was fantastic about our meal, I like the fact that two people can eat for less than $25 here lol.

Yummy! Just arrived in Longview and decided to go next door to Cheddars for dinner. I've never heard of this place. Started with an adult beverage and some potato soup. Oh my goodness! Probably the best potato soup I've had and they come with these little fresh baked croissants! So delicious! Nice homemade touch. I also got some chicken tenders and broccoli Togo. It came with 4 large juicy, crispy, and yummy tenders. I asked for ranch and honey mustard. Everything was delicious, hot and fresh. Service was prompt and friendly too. I will probably visit again before I leave. It was a lovely experience.

Good food. The Mac and cheese was not tasty for my kid. The cookie is to die for. Great desserts. Service is slow. Usually wait for table.

Great for decently priced food that tastes good. I'm a college kid and have been there several times. Still love it.

The restaurant was busy with families enjoying dinner, and the back room was completely booked for what looked like a birthday party. It's the kind of place that immediately feels like a community staple. The menu is full of American classics, and I went with the spicy cheeseburger. Overall, it was really good. My only minor complaint was that the jalapeños were sliced a little thick, so they kept slipping out of the burger. One thing I loved was the old-school condiment bar where you can customize your burger just the way you like it. After dinner, I couldn't pass up the bakery case. The cookies, cakes, and pies all looked fantastic. The employee recommended the Heathen Cookie, so I grabbed one along with a lemon icebox cookie to enjoy later. I always appreciate finding local restaurants that are clearly supported by the community, and this is one of those places. If you find yourself in Longview, The Butcher Shop & Bakery is well worth a visit for both the food and the hometown atmosphere.

Dang!! Butcher Shop, you need to do better. Customer service matters, and paying customers…read moreshouldn't have to deal with rude, disrespectful employees. We stopped in on Thursday around 5:30 p.m. hoping to grab some salted caramel cookies, but they were sold out. So my husband ordered three Heath cookies and three white chocolate macadamia nut cookies instead. When the employee handed us our order, there was only one white chocolate macadamia nut cookie. My husband politely let her know that he had ordered three. Instead of simply saying, "Oops, let me fix that," she immediately argued that he had only asked for one. When he asked for the other two cookies, she gave us an obvious attitude. I honestly don't understand why. It's not like we were asking for free cookies--we paid for the other two. Maybe she was annoyed that she had to ring them up separately, but regardless, that isn't how customers should be treated. We stayed polite the entire time. We didn't raise our voices or give her any attitude back. It was disappointing to be treated that way over such a simple mistake. Experiences like this leave a bad impression, and my husband said that was the last time he'll shop at this location. The really disappointing part is that they make some damn good cookies. It's a shame that great products are being overshadowed by poor customer service.
