Peeling back the price sticker reveals a sticker for $20 less than they had it marked up to - which would have been a fair price, still $10 more than Amazon. Also lists things in stock they don't have. When I purchased a battery to go with a helicopter, I asked them to open the box and make sure they gave me the correct batteries as I was new to the format and wasn't sure what I needed. They assured me "this one will work". It didn't even have the same connector type or discharge rate. On a second purchase they didn't have any of the batteries I needed. Mostly it's the huge price differences that got me. $30 more than Amazon for a $170 heli is insane, especially when it's marked up from Horizon Hobby's website. Everyone who works there is friendly so they get two stars.

I paid 40 cash for that day and reserved my booth with 60 cash that day. They then called me on following Monday and told me I needed to get my stuff out of their building. They were rude and self centered. They only care about filling their pockets. I spread business around town and at vintage market. The selection for used single issue comics is massive, but the selection for new releases as well as trades is always very limited, so if there is something specific you want, it's best to add it to a pull list otherwise you miss out. The prices on everything is usually pretty good, but be wary on some of the singles. It's not very often that a single is outwardly expensive compared to its market price, but every now and then you may overpay. Im a seasoned collector, but if I look at the business from the point of view as a new comic book collector, I would say that the shop could use a bit of growing. The staff, as I said, is very friendly, but they could definitely do a bit better at making conversation easier with new faces. Overall, I think if you're new to collecting, just go inside and ask questions. Be honest and say you don't know what you're doing. Several of them will be more than happy to help. Finally, I would like to see a more expansive selection of trades. When I used to go there, there was always 2-3 shelves full of trades and now it's one manga and one trades. I love manga, but there are trades I'd really rather buy from a small business instead of going to say Barnes and noble.

One thing I wanted to do on this road trip was to go thrifting to try and get a few items I had in my head for my place. I was in high hopes when I walked in here and saw how enormous the inside was. I was also very pleased to see that this was set up more like a consignment shop with each stall being stocked by different people from the community. With that comes a variety of items that you would not see in a typical store. I walked up and down every single aisle scoping out every single stall. I saw so many items here it was almost overstimulating, but I was able to hold it together. I was looking for a specific piece of furniture to use in my bedroom. One that would give me more storage and place to put my mirror that is way to heavy to hang on a wall. I was about to give up when I found the piece I have been waiting for. Buried beneath a cluster of other items and right there for me to pick. The price was definitely one that I could not pass up. When I came toward the check out area the guy definitely saw me coming. I asked if I could leave the piece of furniture there while I went and picked something else up I saw earlier. Once I grabbed the other item, I paid and then made my way out to my vehicle and loaded it up. Luckily it wasn't too big to shove in the back seat of my vehicle and it made it all the way home and is in full use.

There are many different selection depending on what you are looking for we spent a lot of time browsing the antique sections which was huge. Luckily a lot of the vendors take cards, or some form of digital payment if you don't have cash, but there is also an ATM on site near the little restaurant inside. My kids love the little carousel horses and the office has always given us quarters for exchange of $10 bills. I think my favorite booth is the antique mall at the end because I love hunting for cast iron and taking to the old man who runs it about cast iron. My most favorite recent purchases would have to be the quail hatching eggs and the new incubator I got. 9/12 eggs hatched and our quail are doing amazing! Those purchases were on the same day from two different vendors but how nice to find them both. If you have a free day go spend it at Flea Land. You're bound to find something.
