Cheers always have cool staff since they are your usual frat boys here. Cheers focuses more on liquor I believe. They have a wide selection of vodka, whiskeys, wine coolers. They also offer some of the cheapest beer in town, but the variety is not anything intense. This place have a decent selection of wine, but nothing too impressive. Cheers never disappoints. I live in Alabama, and even with our new laws on bottle size and looser ABV restrictions, there are still top craft breweries that are not distributing to Alabama. My parents live right across the state line from Carrollton, so whenever I am home, I make a quick run over to Cheers! This past Saturday their inventory seemed a little low, though as I think back, this was most likely due to the Labor Day Holiday. I was still able to walk out with some Dogfish Head standards (60 Minute and 90 Minute IPAs) and a Boulevard Brewing bomber of Double Wide IPA - two brands that are not available in Alabama. On top of all that, I found several brands I had never heard of that I wanted to try, but I decided to save those for a future purchase. As expected, they were fully stocked with Sweetwater (including LowRyder IPA and Motor Boat) and Terrapin, the two main breweries in Georgia. All in all, I am glad I decided to stop in Cheers last year, and I have never been disappointed in any visit since. read more

Let me just start by saying that I have had good experiences with this location in the past. This evening, I entered the store and was looking for some Elmer T. Lee as I like to collect different bourbons. Lo and behold, there are two bottles prominently displayed on the top shelf behind the counter. I spoke with a gentleman about the price of this bottle and confirmed that I would really like to buy this whiskey and would be by to grab it once I was done shopping for a few other liquors. He said this would not be a problem. I would like to point out that this first gentleman was very nice, helpful, and professional in every way. I in no way bear ill will towards him and appreciate his helpfulness. However, after returning with a few other items with my wife, I am told by another man that they will not be selling to me. After inquiring as to why, he simply said someone else ordered it and I was not allowed to purchase. This is all well and good, but the bourbon was not placed in the back for this "other customer," but rather displayed up front with no signage indicating it was not for sale. I told this man that is fine, but I would like to know how to place an order as well, or at least get on the list of people who would like to purchase when it becomes available again. He effectively told me there is no way for me to place any sort of order. I have several serious problems with this situation. Firstly, do not display goods at the front of your register if you are going to refuse to sell to willing and paying customers. As I said earlier, I hold the first gentleman blameless in this situation as he apologized profusely for the refusal of sale. My second problem is that the second man I spoke to refused to offer any sort of help or suggestion, and effectively shamed me for asking to purchase an item that is displayed for sale. All I wanted was one small bottle of Elmer T. Lee, as there were multiple bottles available on the shelf alongside the other items for sale. This entire situation left me feeling humiliated and unwelcome. I will not be returning to this store and cannot in good conscience recommend this location to others as I have in the past. read more

Cheers is the best place in Carrollton for all things alcohol! Everyone is very nice and they have friendly dogs!

We have purchased 4 kegs from cheers in the past few months & returned 1 that was damaged! We were called liars because they neglected to put a sticker on it & claimed it was not from them! We know our business will not break or make them, but it was just not the way to treat people! read more
