So much nicer to customers than 5 years ago; I'd stayed away. Tonight with parking more available than other corner stores, in I went. The store was clean, well-lit and looked recently remodeled with an expansive new counter and refrigerator cases. Rando troubled guy followed me in so I told the cashier about my son waiting for me outside who'd just gotten his black belt in judo. He looked puzzled til my eyes darted to the troubled guy who'd just lifted a pint of ice cream. Message received. Ordered from this store on uber eats. Time to delivery went from 20 minutes to 45 right after ordering and unfortunately I was not going to be at the location anymore to accept the order. Cancelled within a minute of ordering but they are still trying to charge me 114 for some 4 packs of cider I never received. I have called, emailed, disputed with no response. Uber eats says the order had started being worked on so they can't refund it. That's BS since it's for some cider and was cancelled immediately after the time jumped for no reason. Seems like a shady business that is taking advantage of uber cancellation policy and not doing the right thing by their customers. There was no loss on their part for the cancellation. I have said I will come pick up the cider but no response. Will dispute w Amex anyways but this is a pain of a business to deal with. Go somewhere else. read more

I get what i want and thats awesome. But, when asked ASAP or schedule delivery. It never works as it should. You place your order, press ASAP and it doesnt process untill you check your email and do a whole schedule aside. And it makes it longer of a wait. Its never ASAP. read more

Ok I'll try my best, this place charges a premium. They did attempt to make it right after I attempted to get in contact via multiple avenues, email, phone & yelp. Quite frankly I have had multiple issues w/ previous orders- and my being chill I've tried to look the other way. This time was the final straw. It's a waste of my time and money, I've ordered from them for over a year, very rarely have I gotten exactly what I paid for. Replacing a tea for an energy drink, chips for crackers, shout for 409 (not even close to the same thing), coconut water for basic flavored water... the list goes on. My wine was delivered by this company. I got a phone call seconds after the order was placed. Kind of rude guy was asking me if I was still there and they could make the delivery in a few minutes. A couple minutes later I got an Uber link showing my driver. The link was showing 5 minutes for the longest time with no movement. 10 minutes later, there was finally movement. If you want to be overcharged by four employees with no idea what they are doing, this is the place for you. The newest owners of what used to be a great corner store have ruined what used to be a useful resource in the neighborhood. I continued to go to Cheers even after Ray took over and was perpetually disappointed that they were always out of the absolute basics. Every time I went to get something as simple as half and half, a soda, or use the ATM, I always ended up walking up to Tim's instead as they were always understocked and the ATM broken. Last time I went I purchased a four pack of tall cans of beer. It took 3 employees (behind the counter they extended making it hard for customers to get around) several minutes to figure out that it wasn't a 6 pack as they struggled to ring me up. Ray claimed that the reason they were so often understocked was because they did not have an official commercial parking spot where larger delivery trucks could park. Yet, they already had a dedicated parking spot that the previous owners did not have (yet the previous owners seemed to keep the inventory stocked without issue). He asked that I sign a petition to acquire this commercial spot. I asked him if acquiring this commercial spot would mean the temporary parking spot would go back to street parking for residents. He shook my hand, looked me in the eye, and promised me that it would. So I did the neighborly thing and signed the petition. Ray got his commercial spot (which now takes up two former parking spots) over 3 years ago. The temporary spot is still there as well. This corner store has now stolen 3 separate parking spots for residents and still doesn't seem able to stock inventory as effectively as the previous owners who took zero parking spots from their neighbors. Employees are incompetent, the owner is a liar, and what is in the store is overpriced if they can ever figure out how to charge you for it. Go up to Tim's if you don't mind. They are friendly, competent, do not impose on their neighbors, and are better stocked despite being a much smaller store. read more

It was my birthday and a friend ordered a nice Japanese whiskey from Cheers to deliver to me. They were out of stock for that particular whiskey and Ray called me personally to apologize and offer alternatives. Not only was he incredibly professional and courteous but he even sent a bottle of champagne at no cost as a gift! Truly a class act, not to mention a great selection of classic bottles. Love this place. I live across the street and I'm really impressed with the changes they've made since I moved to the area over a year ago. They've changed a lot of their stock to natural/organic ingredients, and offer up more healthy choices than you'll find in most corners stores. They even have kombucha. The market recently lost the owner who made this a place to shop at. The other guy that owns it has taken over all operations and it's not looking good. The fresh produce they used to carry was rotting in the front of the market, the shelves weren't as full and the people running the shop aren't nice! I asked if the shop had changed ownership and the guy was rude and said "i'm the only owner the store has had" The guys ringing me up just laughed and I left. I don't know if I will be going back to Cheers after that experience. I miss the old staff/ownership. read more

This store is for convenience only. You have to be really lazy (or rich) to shop here. The original owners were great. Prices were decent, great selection of items and the customer service was stellar. Since it changed hands (twice), the prices have almost tripled. It's actually insulting the price of some of the stuff. Also, this store seems to cater to wine and beer drinkers. There is not much of anything else. The customer service is hit and miss but the owners appear to be nice. Many residents in the neighborhood have said that they'd rather walk down further to other stores because of the prices and selection (or lack of). I shop here only if I absolutely have to. read more

Like another reviewer, I had an issue with this delivery service using Uber Eats to make the delivery. I don't have an Uber account so I couldn't communicate with the driver directly. (I ordered through Eat24, so I have no idea why they used a separate service to make the delivery.) The driver called me from her car but she refused to use the intercom to come into the building with my items, and I didn't hear from her after that. When I finally got hold of the business through Eat24, they told me she had returned to the business with my items, and it was going to take another 20 minutes for them to send a new driver. I wound up cancelling the order and going to the liquor store myself. It's a great idea for a service, but I think they'll keep having mixed customer service issues until they stop using Uber. Editing to respond to the business. I ordered two more times, including a Wednesday afternoon, and it was delivered by Uber all three times in total. So it's not just when they're busy. The second order, the driver had a hard time finding my house. The third time, they sent me the wrong wine and sent yet another Uber driver to exchange it. I don't want to support Uber because I believe their business is unethical. Downgrading to one star for the misleading reply. read more

After an hour and a half of waiting and wondering where my order was, I called to check the status of the order- someone with a thick accent, that was hard to understand, said 20 more minutes...20 minutes have passed...still no delivery. I thought this was going to be a speedy service that was easy to use. Online it advertised that all items in the sales section were 10% off.
