Walking past the front desk, there were massive piles of papers and yarn and stuff EVERYWHERE. There was maybe a small walkthrough of room to get anywhere in the store, and an extreme fire hazard. Yarn on the floor, yarn on the shelves.. and man, it was expensive. I just felt like I was not welcome. Don't recommend.

The staff there is very friendly and the store is so well stocked. The prices are very fair compared to other boutique style stores, but I'd say the Village Store has the biggest selection of home and gift items in the Lake area. We were greeted by Robin who was so friendly and easy to talk to - you can tell she's super passionate about the work they do at the shop! I love that you can work with them to come up with your own dye color for your yarn and can pick from a variety of wool types! I ended up purchasing 3 skeins of baby camel + silk yarn that wasn't dyed because the natural color was so gorgeous! The skeins they have for sale that are already dyed range from low 20s to low 40s, so it is more artisan pricing. However, I think the value makes sense since the wool quality is top tier and they do in house dying! I can't wait to come back to Charlotte and give them a visit!
