It's part of the new (as of 2023) 'E' Gold Line, a stop on the way from Santa Monica to East LA. Previously, it was part of the 'L' line, connecting Pasadena to East LA, but was changed in 2023. The previous two stops are underground, but this is above ground with the same platform used for both Eastbound and Westbound trains. To enter/exit, you have to cross live tracks. I remember not being particularly fond of this, but have gotten used to it since quite a few stations on the LA Metro system have this feature.

As you exit the parking lot to go up to the platform there is a machine to pay for parking. Yes, handicap stalls have to pay too. Yes, I called metro to confirm. There is a 72 hour max to park here. The traffic to get to this location is amazingly slow. There is minimal street parking available, due to other businesses in the area. Be prepared to park a bit farther away, or to go in loops around the blocks to find available parking. The waiting room inside is pretty empty with cheap plastic chairs. No tables or magazines available. Only one TV available in the waiting room. I didn't go to the bathroom here, but my companions did. You'll need a key from the front desk to use the bathroom. Bus was late by like an hour. They didn't let us buy a ticket for the bus until a certain time frame. I'm not too sure about why was that. Overall, I think there were better options to going from there to TJ airport. But the bus finally came and it looked like my companion was ok as I bid him farewell for his short voyage. This station literally takes the breath right out of your body…read more I say that because for some reason while going down/up the stairs/escalator a huge windstorm abruptly engulfs you, so be warned and hang on to your hats. This station is my favourite out of all of the stops in the new respected Gold Line. I love how you go down the long escalator to the lovely architecture and the empowering words of flight throughout the station. As for the Gold Line itself, words cannot describe how excited I am for the line to finally be completed and at full use. I speak for the entire community and say thank you for finally completing this never-ending project and in the end, it was 100% worth it and at $1.25 for a 1-way ticket, I see no reason why you shouldn't try it at least once.

There is one elevator, a stairway down, and an escalator. It's a clean underground station with a few benches and trash cans. It's nice on hot days to wait down here, but there have been some crimes later at night. Only downside to this station is that the escalators often go out, and the entryway where the stairs and escalator are create a wind tunnel effect. Outside is a large plaza, and often a woman selling fruit or ellotes, and some bus lines can be caught here. On Soto street is a nice little place for someone to pick up or drop off as well.
