I have been going to this restaurant for many years and it has recently, last two years, have changed hands. The food was fantastic for years and now it is mediocre at best. Sorry but this has changed from being all home made to i don't know what but it is not the same. Wrong food with takeout orders...wonton went from best ever to gluey glumpy dishwater soup. I've been here twice in the last month. The reviews mentioning good hot and sour soup lured me in like a fish on a hook! It was tasty, but a lil bland and I like to taste a lil bit more of the sweet n sour in mine. I never had white sauce with my veggies but waitress recommended when asked. Very good, and I ate every bit of it. Second visit I had Veggie Pad Thai. It was good but not the best I ever had. Hubby had the Shrimp with honey walnuts. Super large portion and he loved it. The waitress was super pleasant, helpful, chatty and funny. Had her both times yet I forgot to ask her what her name was. All staff very nice and friendly. Decent dining area, nothing fancy tho. This place came recommended but overall I don't recommend. I ordered take out. The generals chicken had good flavor but was not served with broccoli like I am used to and the fried rice was bland. Small portion too! My steamed dumplings were also smaller than my regular place and the sauce didn't wow me. The wonton soup was the best item which led to my 2 star review. read more

My favorite Chinese food place!!! I am a big fan of hot and sour soup: not too salty not too sticky, just perfect. Chinese pancake pizza is their specialty appetizer: crispy outside and soft inside. General chicken is also my favorite chicken style, I requested to add of Little spicy to it. All of them are really good. I am drooling again. You should come. I don't recommend this place at all! The food is tasteless and lousy! The "Egg Rolls" were so horrible that I had to throw them away! They didn't look or taste anything like an egg roll! I have no idea what was inside of them but it was terrible!!! Even the "Cheese Wontons" and "Shrimp Rolls" were lousy! The pork inside of the "Fried Wontons" and "Wonton Soup" were so small and they had a weird color and taste to them! Just awful!!! The "Shrimp With Lobster Sauce" had very small shrimp and they were real soft and tasted lousy! The "General Tso Shrimp" and the "Honey Walnut Shrimp" meals were exactly the same meals with walnuts thrown on the top of one of them! Which is ridiculous, because these 2 meals should be totally different! The "Shrimp LoMein" and "Chicken LoMein" meals were only noodles and shrimp and noodles and chicken "NO VEGETABLES"!!! So they were both very bland with no flavor at all! The "Sweet & Sour Chicken" and the "Vegetable Spring Roll" were both good! I spent $150.00 for bland, tasteless, horrible, lousy food! I will never be going back here! I want to mention that the lady was very nice and the guy was great he carried my food out to my car for me! While visiting family, my cousin said this is his favorite Chinese restaurant. We ordered the teriyaki chicken dinner, a spring roll, spare ribs and won ton soup. I enjoyed all of it, the spring roll had a nice crispy exterior, the won ton soup had a generous amount of won tons, the teriyaki chicken pieces were moist (not breaded and fried) in a delicious sauce. And the spare ribs were sticky and meaty with a yummy bbq sauce. The restaurant is no longer open for inside dining (they only have one waitress and she collects payment). We placed our order on the phone and when we went to pick it up, there was a line outside a few people deep. It speaks to how many people enjoy the food. read more

Sorry I'm from a point a bit south and a bit to the east of the boot (actually not, but a little literary license if you please - diaspora ya know) We know from Chinese, know what I'm saying? Grandma gonna cook for hours or say hey let's go down to Chinatown? My grandma was all for Chinatown... We recently had a family gathering and got take out. Sesame chicken that was basically McNuggets with some sauce, some kind of big (thanks to the breading) fried shrimp in sweet disgusting sauce, Lo Mein, Singapore Chow Mei Fun, and some great egg and spring rolls. The lo Mein was a grease ball, the Chow Mei Fun was dry and almost tasteless, only the egg and spring rolls were not only good but very good. Run-of-the-mill Chinese food served by lovely people with great service if you eat in. read more

We came here for lunch because of the good reviews. My chicken chow mein had only tiny slivers of chicken in a conglomeration of vegetables. The accompanying pork fried rice was only slightly warm. My wife enjoyed her spare ribs but didn't care for the taste of her fried rice (besides the fact that it wasn't served hot). The won ton soup was very good. The atmosphere is pleasant with Asian music playing. Maybe other entrees of theirs are better since, like I said, the reviews on Yelp are good. But I don't think we'll be back. Chef Chuns is open inside! Go in and eat. Their takeout is fine but eating in seems to up every dish to a better level. Plus the waitress is very friendly and patient. The wonton soup, pan fried dumplings, Chinese pizza and egg roll were all delicious. Great broth and tender wontons. Very crispy pancakes. We enjoyed General Tsao, Sesame and Sweet and sour chicken. Phenomenal food! It's like your traditional Chinese with a different spin. The wonton was much much better than the typical Chinese food place. Smaller, softer, better filling, and much better broth. The general tso was a bit spicier than other places but still very good. My only complaint would be over the lo mein, it lacked a lot of flavor and wasn't my favorite. Overall very good! Well, unfortunately due to new ownership, Chef Chuns no longer has the magic it once had. My family and I ate here for the last time today. It just isn't the same anymore and you can taste it. They seem to be lost and some servers seem to be burnt out. It's quite annoying when you have an obnoxious, smart a55 server who should be a bit more appreciative of her customers. The chicken was dry and the food was bland. They were actually prepping wontons on one of the dining tables and nearest to the bathroom which is a BIG health code violation. The soda cans for drinks is tacky as well. Sorry Chef Chuns this was the last second chance we were willing to give. I imagine you'll be closed the next time we come back to town. The best Chinese food I've ever had. I began eating there 19 years ago and been going ever since. I live about 40 minutes away from the place, but it is worth the drive. Ordered from Chef Chuns for first time on 4/17/2021 via grubhub app. Placed the order at 5:19pm. App confirmed Chef Chuns started working on the order. Started tracking the order showing initial delivery time of 6:13. Delivery time kept getting pushed back until it was finally estimated at 7:10. At 6:48 I get a message from the grub hub delivery person who is at the restaurant that they don't have my order. At 7:03 Grubhub notifies me that my order has been canceled and I will be reimbursed. After moving from California it was difficult to find great Chinese food with great tasting sauces and quality ingredients, then I found Chef Chuns. This was 25 years ago and they are still my main spot for Chinese. Although Mr and Mrs Chun have sold the business the food still remains the best tasting Chinese cuisine in the area. I've tried a few others to compare but I always find myself craving Chef Chuns. It has that Northern California taste I love. So many great selections. And despite the country closing down, the new owner has done her best, fighting staff shortages and all, to keep the business up and running with great tasting food! read more

Chef Chun's without a doubt has the best Chinese in the area. Everything we have ever had here has far exceeded most other Chinese restaurants we have tried. Chicken and Broccoli, Sesame Chicken, General Tso, Wonton Soup all very good. The one thing that does annoy me it the amount of time it takes to pick up your food. On a Friday or Saturday night they have one person who is not great with English handle both the front desk pickups, the phones, and hostessing. There have been a few times where I was told 45 minutes before it would be ready for pick up, got there in about 40 mins, then waiting another 30-35 mins while there. They really need to have someone doing each of the front desk tasks especially on a busy night. Other than that, food it great. read more
