We got the Sesame Chicken, Pad Thai, and Cheese Fried Wontons for takeout. Everything was okay, but I found the Pad Thai to be very disappointing. It was not really Pad Thai noodles, but vermicelli noodles cooked with chicken, onions, eggs, and water chestnuts (it did not come with baby shrimp as their online menu said). The sesame chicken was more on the bland side. Additionally, when I had called, I asked if the chicken in the pad thai could be replaced for wheat gluten as their online menu said that most chicken or pork dishes could be, but the woman who answered did not know what I meant even though it was on their website, until another person got on the phone to inform me that they could not make that dish with wheat gluten. Traditional Chinese-American menu with lots of great options and some excellent specialties. Plenty of seating at tables in their dining room ... but we really prefer takeout to have leftovers. Can't go wrong with the cheesesteak egg rolls, Chinese pancakes, spare ribs, cosmic eggplant, grandpa chicken, 5 spice fish, shrimp with lobster sauce, and egg foo young ... but everything is super tasty. We stopped here for dinner on our way home from Ocean City as it was about halfway between there and home. This is a modest, no frills, classic Chinese food restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was perfect. I'm sure the gentleman serving us was the owner and his wife eventually sat at a table behind us folding cloth napkins. They seem to do a lot of take out. And while we were only one of two tables eating in, one could tell by the number of napkins being folded that the place does a pretty sit down business. Quite possibly the best Chinese food I've ever had. I dined in with family to celebrate. Started out with crispy noodles (the good ones), duck sauce, hot mustard and pickled cabbage. This was all free of charge given to us at the start of the meal. Water and hot tea were the only drinks available and the tea was sooooo good. The waiter here was so friendly and joked around with us. Had BBQ spare ribs and Kung Pao shrimp. So amazing. The fried rice here is to die for. Please give this place so much business. read more

Great food. People are ok. Just bring a tote bag with any Chinese Food. It leaks on my car fabric seats was able to get out. The restaurant gave me extra fortune cookies and I did get the Chinese pizza scallion pizza out of my cloth car seat. My bag broke I always have extra tote bags. So I know from now on tote bag and wash the bag after Chinese food. The vegetables lo mein is great Wow lots of vegetables! I am broke but when I have more money $16 pineapple chicken theirs is so much better not fried and only pineapple there's is chicken pineapple and vegetables in a very delicious sauce! Let me qualify the statement above by assuring you that I've eaten my fair share of sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls and chicken fried rice. And though I've never been to China, the mandarin / cantonese dishes served at Hunan East remind me a lot of our favorite spot in Ohio. The restaurant itself appears clean and had several patrons on New Year's Eve when we picked up our to go. The staff was "all business" as I picked up our food, paid and left.
