Chef Dora Presents was fantastic to work with for our event. We needed catering for a bat mitzvah with about 135 to 150 guests, and we had some very specific requirements. Everything had to be dairy free and gluten free, and because our daughter has severe Celiac Disease, it was critical that extra care was taken during food preparation to avoid any cross-contamination (just try to find a caterer that will agree to that...not so easy!!) On top of that, they were very attentive to guests with additional needs, including allergies, kosher preferences, and vegetarian options. We had a buffet set up for the kids and a plated dinner for the adults, which worked out really well. Chef Dora and Stuart were both great to work with. We connected with them months ahead of the event, met multiple times to plan, and also had a private tasting, which helped us feel confident in our choices. They were extremely professional throughout the process. During the event itself, both of them were present and even helped with small coordination items that came up, which we really appreciated since we did not have a day-of coordinator. The food itself was excellent. Sometimes gluten free food can be hit or miss, but that was not the case here at all. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. Some standout dishes for us were the kalbi beef tacos as an appetizer and the turmeric chicken with lime rice and vegetables. Both were incredibly good, and we were happy to have leftovers to enjoy afterward. We would absolutely recommend Chef Dora Presents and would gladly use them again in the future. read more

Chef Dora is the BEST. So fun, creative and professional. She planned the perfect menu for our Star Wars party, and her crew from the cooks to the servers helped prepare and deliver top tier food for the guests. All of the food was delicious, but my favorites were the appetizers. This is where the guests were won over. I highly recommend the grilled cheese and tomato shooter, salmon poke on crispy rice, pork dumplings (my personal favorite) and the Brie puffs with jam. My 10 year old daughter is very picky and only eats 10 things and even she loved the Brie puffs. That's how good this food was. Not sure if this is everyone's experience, but after our wedding, on our first day as a newly wed she sends us a 10% extra invoice itemizing work that was already to be included in the original contract. One of her team vans also broke down on the facilities where the wedding was had, adding us a late fee of $500, yet despite that she sends an extra invoice. She also didn't communicate a few items to her team, never provided coffee when she was supposed to, and she had a particularly unfriendly female worker on her team that almost made my fiancé cry. Chef Dora came out to do a pre-event walk through and answer questions. We figured out the event layout and appreciated her recommendations! When they arrived on the party day they quickly went to work making there magic happen. The food tables were presented beautifully with flowers, lanterns and candles. I was just at an in home holiday event catered by Chef Dora. I would like to say Speechless would be enough of a descriptor for my experience, but that would leave too much open to interpretation. So I will express my experience with a numbered list to make my thoughts clear. 1. Presentation: Impeccable, beautiful, as up scale as I've ever personally experienced. (which is fairly high) 2. Selections of food: The variety was a beautiful composition of flavors and textures unlike anything I've ever experienced in the most upscale dinner settings I've attended. Grilled Filet Mignon, marinated Chilean Sea Bass and the Porchetta were incredible, each unique in flavor, texture and tender to the bite. Nothing over or under cooked. Everything a perfect temperature. 3. The grilled, seasoned Asparagus = succulent & delicious with a light crunch, the mashed potatoes were beautifully neutral with subtle seasoning as to not over power any protein it accompanied, the salad with seasoned avocado halves and pomegranate = so fresh and balanced with seasoned avocado halves perfectly ripe without being hard or mushy. Obviously each one was carefully hand selected and carefully removed from the skin/shell. 4. The Charcuterie Board was another culinary masterpiece of carefully selected soft, medium and hard cheeses, fruits, nuts, jams, & breads, each with unique flavors and textures that worked harmoniously together to create a flavor experience. 5. Of course the wine and dessert selections were a perfect finish. 6. Service a 15 out of 10. Need I say more? We first used Chef Dora for a very important event: our engagement announcement/party. These kinds of events just HAVE to be perfect, and it was! The food was beyond expectation and the service was first class. It was such a huge success, many of our guests made note of the caterer and took her contact information; highly unusual. So then during Covid this year we realized it would just be us for Thanksgiving, and heard Chef Dora would be creating a Thanksgiving feast. We immediately signed up. And on turkey day we were once again treated to the culinary delights of Chef Dora! The stuffing was literally the best we'd ever had in our lives! The turkey, succulent, juicy and spectacular. We also had the lamb, and WOW, it was delicious! The vegetables amazing and we've never had a sweet potato casserole that made your entire mouth come alive, it was perfect. As a wedding planner - I rarely come across an amazing chef and a team as Chef Dora's. To clarify- it's not an easy job as a caterer to be able to feed a group of people (80 guests for my event) hot, delicious, perfectly presented food all at the same time while giving immaculate service but Chef Dora pulled off my client's wedding like a piece of cake! Everyone was so happy with the food, service and presentation - I had guests ask me constantly, "who did the catering!?" On a rare occasion, you get a chef (and her company) that do a phenomenal job and everyone raves about the food. And I mean everyone. And they have vegan and vegetarian options also.
