We came here to get Russian/ukrainain/Polish kielbasa and cheese and ended up leaving with canned pickles and some grains. A lot of the items on the shelves were expired too. Overall, things were in very very bad shape and it was disgusting. We will never be coming back here. I would rather get a flight from Memphis back to NYC and load my carry on up with Russian kielbasa and cheese and then fly back to Memphis and it would be cheaper and still fresher than the items at this store. I picked up a container of herring fish in the fridge today and it was covered in a layer of slime. Not oil. Slime. It was disgusting. Some kielbasas were super oxidized and being covered mold. Really really sad about this. The store itself is in a terrible and very unsafe area of Memphis nowadays and I was begging my husband to come with me here for days and we finally made it out here and to see this kind of quality is very upsetting. I was able to spread the word to the other Russian eaters in Memphis so that they pay attention to expiration dates.

Whenever I'm in the neighborhood, I try to stop by, as I'll usually find something that my household hasn't yet tasted. I'm especially glad that they have a respectable selection of nonalcoholic beers to choose from. The employees here are usually very helpful, and the tastings that some of the purveyors have had are well-received.
