OMG!!! so I was visiting Memphis in May for granddaughter's graduation so I ran into a good old friend and her daughter recommended this breakfast/brunch spot. Knowing my particular taste palette, I was like OK let's see what they have looked on the line and saw the reviews. Very good reviews Check nearby location Check serves chicken and waffles Check. So I thought I'd give it a try. Totally in love with this quaint repurposed house now restaurant extraordinaire. They should have chains all over the world concept is perfect. They even sell libations via bartender, so you're gonna get more than a good brunch. You're gonna have a variety with the kit and caboodle. The Customer Service was top notch, top shelf, from the server to the bartender to the Manager, and order taker, everyone was smiling and friendly and courteous. My friend had been before so she said the catfish was good and I had a taste for fish. We both ordered the catfish basket and I ordered a separate banana's foster waffle on the side line. She had a Coca-Cola drink and I had the mimosa from heaven. When I tell you, everything was perfect it was perfect and I have a very sensitive taste palette. We had so much fish. I had two more pieces to take home to reheat and I didn't reheat because I was visiting and staying at my hotel so I ate a cold and it was still fresh and crunchy, I'm just saying. So this was in the middle of May so the still pretty cool and not humid and we sat on the patio and so learned from the server that you may get served a little quicker on the patio. Because the inside those small and quaint with all the tables was awaiting list of about 20 to 25 minutes. We sat outside to wait but then when we got our menu, she explained we could go ahead and order so we only waited like maybe 10 minutes. This is a perfect choice. Wow! This place was incredible! My son and I were in town to visit Graceland and we wanted a nice, little place to grab breakfast before going there. So I Yelped places and found Eggxactly just down the street. I was a little concerned when Google Maps took us into a residential area, but no worries: Eggxactly Breakfast and Deli is located in a former house that has been wonderfully remodeled into a quaint, cute breakfast joint! This spot is tight but oh so right! Customer service is on one thousand and I don't say that lightly. Liz greeted us and was so genuous and nice. A friend and I stopped by for brunch on Sunday around 1pm. We were added to the waitlist and about 30 minutes or less were called and seated. Liz immediately noticed water rings on the table and came back with a towel to wipe the table down. She asked if it was our first time and discussed the menu and flow. This place is a whole vibe! As we placed our order we had help from Amber when selecting our flight flavors. She was hilarious and very genuine. She upsold me so much and had to almost run away but it was worth it. The had homemade pork skins in Ranch and regular flavors. There are several flights abd several flavors and your choice of vodka or tequila. These were a little sweet for me but they definitely took flight. The brunch menu is nice and simple and there is a featured dish, smoked turkey leg omlet. I was not ready for that so I ordered fish and grits. Liz informed us of how many pieces of chicken and/or you get and that all fish is 100% farm raised catfish! The food was very good. The catfish had an interesting seasoning on it and it was very good and fried hard with tender flaky inside. Oh so very good! The dipping sauce is a housemade version of hot sauce and perhaps honey but not sure. The grits were good but too thin for my taste but overall flavor was very good. I am so glad I found this hidden gem in Whitehaven! They serve southern style home cooked breakfast made to order. The food is hot, fresh, and flavorful! I was excited to try new menu items. We were seated pretty quickly. You have to place your order at the counter and then they will bring your food to the table. Of course, I started with the eggs. Can't go to a place called Eggxactly without having eggs, right? I see why they have that name. I must say that the eggs were super delicious. It was a part of the Breakfast Platter. It came along with 2 strips of bacon, smoked sausage, 1 pork or turkey sausage links. They were all good. I also added grits. My food was a hit. The only thing that I would say need a little work are they banana froster pancakes. They were a little on the dry side and the sauce that comes with it is pretty runny. The toppings were not cohesive as well if that makes sense. It seems like it was thrown together versus being one cohesive dish. The price point is decent. You get bang for your buck. I showed up at 10:54 AM and didn't get seated until 11:54 AM--yep, a solid hour wait. By the time I finally got a table, there were still about 10 more people outside waiting their turn. This place only has eight tables, and when I sat down there were 17 people packed in--so clearly, it's the breakfast spot. I ordered the smoked turkey omelette, and wow... it was worth the wait. Fluffy eggs, savory turkey, and packed with flavor. Just one warning: I did get a little surprise in mine--a decent size fragment turkey bone. Nothing serious, but let's just say chew like you're protecting your dental plan. The outside looks plain, and the inside won't blow you away either, but trust me--the food does all the talking. Our group was pondering on going to IHOP to eat, but my thought was, we can go to IHOP any day. We needed to experience some Memphis culture and flavor. So, I found this location nearby where we were staying. I looked at the reviews, and they fit the bill. We ordered shrimp and fish with grits, an omelet meal, and chicken and waffles. Everyone in our group was exceedingly satisfied with their selections. I wish I wasn't the designated driver going back to Louisiana, or else I would have tried some of the alcoholic beverages. They have a nice list of beverages for adults. If you're looking to get a cup of mimosa or a pitcher, this is a great place to go. I would have loved to come here for dinner if I had known about this location before the day we were leaving town. However, if I'm in Memphis again, I'll be sure to check this place out for dinner or something. I hope they're open for dinner; I'm not sure. I visited this brunch spot last week for my niece's celebration. The restaurant is in an old house so the spacing inside is limited, but they make up for it in customer service. Even though I was tempted with Chicken and Waffles I decided to go with something more unique, with the help from my incredibly friendly and helpful server, I went with the smoked turkey omelette. I got it with Texas toast and hash browns and let me tell you the flavors in this are insane. The smokiness of the turkey with the vegetables and the seasoning they put on the eggs all comes together for a rich and enjoyable bite. The hash browns also were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of crisp and everything to them. It's a cozy little spot that if it's busy can really be packed. But when I was there it was early enough that I was one of the only ones there. Everything was so delicious it was hard to pick a favorite. I do think we finally settled on the Bacon, Egg and Cheese sandwich on Texas toast as our favorite. My husband and I always look to Yelp! to find great places to eat while traveling. It never fails us! We enjoyed an AMAZING meal at Eggxactly. I had the Chicken and Waffles (topped with fresh fruit and powdered sugar) and my husband had Fried Catfish with French Toast. All of their fried meals come with their special house made sauce. Every bite of both meals was amazing! The staff is so friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service! The restaurant is a converted house and has a small indoor dining area - probably ten tables in all. It looks as though they have a small outdoor dining area but it was very cold when we were there. Mya was my server explained the menu and that she could do everything but take my order. You have to order at the front and they bring your food out. I ordered the check and waffles, which came out relatively quick and was very hot. Mya recommended the sweet and spicy dipping house sauce for the chicken and it was amazing. My two daughters and myself visited the establishment yesterday for brunch. The food for my 1 daughter came out over 15 minutes prior to mine and my other daughters. So I told her to start eating so her food would not get cold. I had the chicken and waffle and my chicken was hot with a nice crunch but no seasoning at all. For my first time I was not impressed.
