Waiting on manufacturer seems to be a reversed response from these folks. I have been waiting over a month for my purchase. This is after they sent me the wrong product. I would NOT recommend this company to any business or person needing kitchen products. I also wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. Never again will I purchase from here again. Also I see the owner or someone representing the owner apologizing to other customers and asking to call their customer service for a solution. I ordered a Vacuum sealer on line July 21, 2020 and the delivery was set for a week later. I received no correspondence with regards to delivery. 2 days before the estimated delivery date I called them and asked their customer care person if the product was still on track to be delivered and she said yes. No delivery on the estimated date. 2 days later I called back and this time the Customer care person said the product was delayed and would be delivered the week of August 17th. It's August 20th with no correspondence from KaTom so I called and now they're saying the new delivery date is September 1st. I just canceled my order. What a colossal waste of time. The worst part was talking to their customer care person and he could care less what I went through and that I canceled my order. read more

Stay away from these people. They are bad news all the way around. We tried to order a part from them. They quoted us a price and said it would ship next day. 8pm that night received an email containing copy of order with confirmation number and a request for a shipping address verification before order could be sent. Called the number they provided immediately and they were already closed. Called them back first thing in the morning and got in their call back que. Waited 2.5 hrs without a call back. Called back sales line and confirmed address, it was at this point they tried to pull a BAIT N SWITCH on me. They claimed the manufactor misquoted the price and my cost would be $400 more. The problem with that is I had already gotten a quote from their competitor and they quoted me the same price as the original price they quoted, so I know they are lying. Spoke to customer service to get an explination and was treated rudely. I explained to them that thanks to the way they do buisiness that I ordered the part from somebody else and because of the time lost trying to deal with them was forced to spend an additional $150 on express shipping. They absolutely did not care nor were they interested in offering me store credit like free shipping on next order to reimburse me for their failures. Additionally getting them to cancel the order and reverse the charge on my CC was like pulling teeth. It only took them a few moments to charge my card when I made my order but have been waiting all day for the credit to show back up. At this point I'm wondering if they are going to try to steal my money and if I'm going to need to retain a lawyer in tenn to go after my money. Which I will. read more

Preface: I'm a homeowner who's tired of buying cheap plumbing supplies from Home Depot and Lowe's. Also, I don't like supporting Amazon and will buy from the little guy even if it's more expensive. I can't recommend doing that with Katom. It cost me $141.69 to return a faucet, that's their restocking fee plus the required shipping with tracking. The reason I had to return a faucet was because it has a wall mounted support arm that installs half way up the neck of the faucet. The picture of the faucet on their website is not accurate. It does not show this support arm like it does on the taller faucets, so a reasonable person would assume that it wasn't required. Customer service told me that if I click on the links to the faucet specs it shows it there so they would not refund the restocking fee. Nowhere on the website, picture or specs does it mention that you must use this support arm. However, when you open the box the installation instructions caution that you must use this support arm. I have a window over my kitchen sink so I can't use this faucet. I tried in vain to explain this to customer service only to have them repeat over and over that it says it's a wall mounted sink so they would not waive the re-stock fee. I kept saying that I know it's a wall mounted sink, that's why I bought it. It was obvious that they didn't know what a wall mounted sink meant. So save yourself a bunch of time, money, and a headache and buy this stuff off of Amazon. I realize now that there's a reason Amazon is so popular: Returns are easy, not to mention that they're cheaper. read more

This is insane, I have talked to the customer service and they refuse to send me the order nor to refund, they said that UPS returned 2 boxes and one box is missing we do not know what were wrong, but you are responsible for it, refusing to refund me!!!! Zero star. Awful experience. I ordered an espresso machine on Aug 21, item did not get shipped until Sep 5 and I received on Sep 8. Once I opened the box, I realized it the wrong machine (consumer model not commercial model that I ordered), I contacted Katom for a return. I was asked to send pictures and proof of purchase, which I promptly did on the 9th, and heard nothing back from Katom for over a week. Several calls to the company later asking for status update, the case finally got processed on 9-16 asking for the same thing, pictures and proof that I received the wrong thing. Complied with the request since the machine cost over $5k and I want my money back. Heard nothing back for a week, sent in an email to case mgr on 22nd asking for status update no reply, so called them up the day after asking for update. The rep asked me if I had sent in the info they asked; only sent them TWICE at this time. Multiple phone calls later with no update, I was finally TOLD during my call on 9/30 that there is a return label issued and that they are coming to pick up the day after. Nobody notified me or sent me a return label up to that date. So they picked up the item on 10/1 and I verified that it has been delivered a couple days after. Still no refund today, 10/14, So at this time I am filing a dispute with my credit card company since this is a safer way to get my money back. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! read more

The last order we received an item that was damaged but was ordered along with two counterpart items...as a result, the damaged item rendered the other two items unusable. When we asked them to send an RA and return shipping label they refused. So...we had to pay extensive shipping to get it here...it's no good...and they expect us to pay return shipping? That's crazy! What a loss for us...not worth returning...and what a loss for them because they just lost reliable customers over a simple return shipping label they refused to supply. Basically, DO NOT ever deal or buy anything from Ka Tom, their customer service is nonexistence!!! On 05/05/2, I had ordered a freezer from Ka Tom online store. The order was worth $1364. I started to use it on 05/25/20. The freezer was working fine until 07/20/20. I used it for less than 60 days and it broke with no reason. All my product in the freezer that cost about $1000 were spoiled and I had to throw them away immediately. I called Ka Tom customer service more than 15 times and left detailed messages. I got no responses until I left a bad review on Ka Tom Instagram on 07/26/20. Katom replied and deleted their own apology. ( I kept the screenshot as the proof) A lady named Kattie (not sure how to spell her name correctly) called me right away and said (after consulting with her manager) she would able to help me to send the technician to my residential address and will get back to me as fast as she can. BTW It turned out, that was an empty promise. I called her many times since then; she never returns my call - MIA!!! I am in urgent need for another freezer. I don't have any space for this freezer anymore, I asked them to take it back. Wrote them a letter and left them messages, but no responses until today 08/22/20. On the letter to Ka Tom, I wrote: "If I can't get any solution for repair by this week July 30th, 2020, I would like to return this freezer ASAP so I can get a new WORKING freezer from another supplier. I am waiting for a prompt response. Please call me at your earliest convenience to discuss either option to repair by July 30th or arrange to move and send back the freezer from my place by July31st, 2020." This is the WORST experience I had with any restaurant suppliers. The longer I wait for KaTom to response, the more I lose money daily. These guys were so great on the phone/chat. I placed my order for a very expensive ice machine over the phone and the guy put my shipping address in completely wrong. They told me I'd have to fill out a reconsignment form to change the address and said it's out of their hands. I got the paperwork and sent it off to FedEx. I then got a bill from FedEx for $1200!!! Katom emailed me back and forth 2 times and then completely stopped responding to anything. I have been emailing them for two weeks. I bought the NoTrax rubber cutting board for my restaurant. It is the worst cutting board I currently have. The board is very difficult to clean because everything ends up sticking to its surface, especially when making sushi. The sushi rice always sticks on to the board. Several of them were broken -- one almost to the point where it was unrecognizable. I called KaTom and spoke to Customer Service. I was told they were going to submit a UPS claim, and asked to 1) take some pictures; and 2) keep the damaged packaging for a few days, in case UPS wanted it. I did so, but also mentioned that the packaging was poor: the outer box had no 'Fragile' or 'Handle with Care' markings; and the inner packing seemed way too sparse for shipping glassware. After waiting 9-10 days, I called to check on the status. I was told that I should have received updates, but "the email system has been broken lately." I was promised a callback from CS on Monday. (I called on a Saturday.) When nothing happened by Wednesday, I called again. This time, I was told that the UPS claim had been paid, and I would have a refund in a couple of days. I asked for the refund amount, and was given a figure that seemed about right. (Each glass should be worth ~1/36th of what I paid, right?) When the refund arrived, it was far less than the promised value. It exactly matches what I paid for the broken glasses, with no allowance for shipping costs -- which were about 30% of the total cost. Thus, I can't even replace the broken glasses with the refund! There were many unique gift ideas as well as tried and true gifts such as kitchen aid mixers in a rainbow of colors. I found everything I was looking for and so much more. There will definitely be another visit scheduled for me. I order 40K plus appliances from them for my store and they were very good on helping to get my order through (because they want your $$$ fast) but here are my issue with this company. My items arrived 2 to 3 months later than the lead time they gave me in multiple shipments and one of my item which is a sink come in damaged, I took a picture and sent to them right the way, the next day Kathy email me saying we need more picture and file the claim to the freight company within 5 business day so I got off work early and took care of what she needed and sent to her. No response then after a week I called and another girl not even want me to talk to Kathy and said Kathy will email me some information. I then got an email asking for the same information again so I reply to her email that I already sent what she need and please let me know what else, again no response, a few weeks pass by I call again and this time they put me on hold for a few minutes then sent me to their voice mail which will never get a call back. Couple weeks pass by I call again and another girl named Lyndsey said Kathy is no longer work there (I hope it true) and she will take over the case and said she will call me back the next day to let me know but guess what, NO call either. I called Lyndsy two days after and she said let her check on the case and put me on hold for 15 mins (So what was she doing the days before then?) then she get back to me and said I have to file a claim with the freight company. So I'm like WTF I was told to act fast and file the claim within 5 days of receiving and now you told me to file a claim with the company myself 3 months later? My experience with this company is a nightmare, several times they will put your on hold for 15 mins or more just so you gave up and hangup and if you stay on the line it will just waste you time because there is no solution. An empty promised to call or email back. I cannot believe that such customer service is exist in the 21st century. After 40+K order through them and you still not a value customer to them. If you about to purchase from them then cross your finger and hope your item arrive in good condition otherwise you're FKED. 7 months after made the purchase and 4 months after contact them for the damaged item and I still here with no solution or what so ever. I will never order from this company again. If you have more than 1 package, they charge shipping on 1st package and not the 2nd. Problem being that 2nd package never got shipped, because it was on back order. After 6 weeks of not getting it, I ask for a refund on shipping charges and have got nothing but a run around. Like some of the other reviewers I am having trouble getting a refund, in this case because fedex received the package from KaTom in damaged condition. I never received the package. KaTom is now telling me they cannot refund me until fedex files a claim and refunds them. The shipping was expensive and it took them 8 days to get the item to fedex!
