Although the job was small relatively speaking Steve treated it like a major overall. Steve has a good eye for design. He made some minor changes in our layout that makes our kitchen more functional. Utilized all the space wonderfully. Glen the contractor was very meticulous. When my wife ask for some trim work to be corrected he did it with a smile. He worked at our house for 12 straight days to complete the job. Wish I had the money to keep him on retainer. Very good and has a very pleasant disposition. Unlike many in the field he goes by the mantra the customer is always right. Overall very good job from start to finish. Some minor issues along the way but was taken care of. There is nothing like customizing your own home and skin care products, which are made with natural ingredients that are not only good for you but good for the planet. You can bring in your own clean, empty containers (just have them weighed at the counter before adding a product). Or they have a variety of neutral containers for you to choose from in-shop that have already been weighed. Pick your product and scent, fill 'er up, and then bring it to the counter to be weighed. I purchased hand soap and one of their containers and it was approximately $15. Most of that cost was a 1-time purchase of the bottle, which I will reuse next time. They have makeup, jewelry, kid products, cooking tools, reused/branded clothing, a sustainability library, teas, granolas, laundry/dish/hand soaps, shampoo, and the coolest toothpaste tablets (whatttt?!). If you are building a custom home, this is NOT THE BUSINESS YOU WANT!!!! The owner is not experienced in working with custom homes. He even admitted that to me after we were in the midst of completing our home. He is rude and unorganized.....very unprofessional. When you call the office, nobody can tell you anything without going through him first. Problem is, he would not return a call most of the time. The "designer" who was helping us would not call back with an answer to any of our questions. Our cabinets were delayed causing other work to fall behind. A project that should have taken no longer than 9 months took 13 months, thanks partly to his company. The countertops were a nightmare....not cut to our specifications, and a huge ugly seam through the middle of one of my countertop areas. The company he uses is located in Chattanooga, and English is their second language, but some of the workers have not mastered our language. I am all for free enterprise, but don't send someone who is unable to communicate with the customer. We wanted someone else at that point, but was told by our builder that by law we must give them a second chance. They were redone and seemed ok. We have since found flaws in the workmanship and are waiting to be scheduled to have a rep repair the flaws. I am hoping this won't take 6 months or more. My advise is to seek other cabinet companies in the surrounding area. Take your time in deciding. I failed to do so and have been very disappointed.
