I have never stayed at a bed and breakfast, and I was very anxious about it. I went into this knowing that I signed up for a bed and breakfast experience, and that's exactly what this is. It's not staying at the Park Hyatt in Bangkok, K? It is a bed and breakfast in Newberg, Oregon. Yes, you pick a time for breakfast the day before, then you sit at a table with a group of strangers, eat breakfast with them, and try to find things to talk about. Like wine. You eat what is made for you. Is it kind of awkward? Yeah. But it's manageable. We met some interesting people who are different than us, and that was kind of cool. I will admit that one morning I was really hungover (which makes me even more anxious than I typically am), so I had a glass of wine before we went down for breakfast and that helped. The actual breakfasts were lovely. Fresh ingredients and fruits, biscuity/bready things, homemade jams, etc. Kristin did a great job. She has great insight into the area and is very helpful with recommendations for where to go. Yeah, she's quirky. But again, would you expect anything else at a bed and breakfast in Oregon? The view from our room was out of control, and that's a big reason that I recommend this place. Wow. Most of the wineries close around 4pm, so it was nice to spend some time out there before dinner. (This was in late spring) I don't think that we had a TV in our room? We didn't really care, but just noting that because I could see it maybe being an issue for some people. The bathroom had a gigantic bathtub, and overall the bathroom was pretty spacious. I think it was a queen bed. It all got the job done. Would I stay here again? Yeah, I would weigh the options that are available, but for sure. It's lovely.

Amazing staff, beautiful views of the valley, full gourmet breakfast, comfortable rooms, and lots of lovely amenities. And major bonus....60 wineries a short drive away.

What a magical spot on the hill with majestic views of the vineyard!! My hubby and I had our first B&B experience here and we loved it! From the very beginning with a gracious greeting and tour of the house to a delicious 5 Star Breakfast & knowledge of the area by Kristin. It is fun to wake up and have coffee & conversation with new friends. It's so neat that you can sit outside with a timed heat lamp to warm you up while you take in the views. You cannot go wrong to choose this unique spot with many close wineries nearby, you should check out Chehalem Bed & Breakfast. Highly Recommended.!

A little socked in but was still so beautiful from the balcony!

My husband and I stayed here a few months ago and we loved it! The b&b is beautiful with lots of character and the owners and staff were wonderful. We stayed in the High Desert Suite full of windows with the most beautiful view looking over the city below and a huge new air tub (the sanitary kind that I will actually get in). We even got in room massages. The breakfast prepared by the owner was amazing. They even had wine available for purchase onsite and select restaurants that deliver for dinner. I wanted to stay there for a week or more! Very relaxing and hope to make it back again someday.

Who in the world would rate this amazing B&B under a 5 star? Are you kidding me? My experience every time I come to this work of art B&B has always been top notch. The inn keepers here are A+! The food is super good! The beds are very comfortable. The views are to die for. So imagine you are sitting on top of a big hill you wake up from a good night's rest then you open your eyes and you are looking down at the beautiful wine country in the beautiful Dundee Hills and Red Hills! Breath taking! I highly recommend this amazing B&B!

wonderful sunset views!

Harold McKay grew up on the beautiful wine-country land where the inn is located, and he and Leah create a graceful, easy, peaceful atmosphere both on the site where outdoor ceremonies take place and in the room we had for the night. In the morning on the day after our ceremony, Harold made us an absolutely fantastic breakfast--fluffy scrambled eggs, beer pancakes, bacon, orange juice, coffee. They have a "Chef's Table" that I thought would be nice since I am a single and you can watch them cook. Was told that would be 45 minutes to an hour, but their "Living Room" was available. Okay, sat there. Meal was very good, server nice and it is not her fault they tried to deliver food I didn't order to my table, clearly no Michelin star. Not the most comfortable table since more like a lounge, but okay. After dropping $230 on myself, what was annoying was the Chef's table was empty when I was leaving just like when I came in. WTF? We were greeted at the desk by Ryan with a glass of their sister winery's rose and then proceeded on a tour of the inn. It is a small boutique inn with only about 18 rooms total. I believe while we were there, there may have been maybe 4-5 other couples (that we only saw at breakfast). It is just a lovely place with a sitting room with a huge fireplace, a quaint breakfast room, and several patio areas with fire pits overlooking the valley. One firepit stays on all the time (already I was excited to "need" a firepit in August!). Ryan then walked us across the entryway to a separate smaller building and into our room which was the Deluxe Valley View room...with glass doors that opened directly onto a sweet little patio with adirondack chairs and table overlooking the vineyard. We spent every morning here drinking tea before breakfast and most evenings here drinking wine before bed. And speaking of breakfast! Every morning was a treat...several options you can choose from, mix and match your pastry with your fresh fruit with your main dish with your beverage with your coffee, all a great way to bellywad before a day of wine tastings! Do yourself a favor and get the SCONE every morning! I discovered that sadly on my last day :( All of the staff were super sweet and accommodating. The room was beautiful and the bed was comfy! But that view tho! Makes me want to submit a resume!

We were lucky enough to stay for two nights at The DreamGiver's Inn, and I was so regretful for not making the trip a little longer. This place is truly a dream. The drive from Portland wasn't bad at all (under an hour!) and was really quite beautiful as we made our way. While driving the winding roads filled with fall colors, we spotted the Inn, thanks to its charming shade of red. We checked in around 4pm, and Grace was there to greet us and help us to our room. She was an incredibly welcoming host, and made the experience even more special. We stayed in the "Grace" room, and it was absolutely gorgeous and so relaxing. The room had a huge window seat, and the first couple of hours we were there, we sat there watching the rain and relaxing. Grace had all the makings for hot tea downstairs, which was a perfect match for the moment. We had so many plans that we canceled just so we could sit on that damn window seat and enjoy the view! Mornings at The DreamGivers Inn are the stuff dreams are made of. We usually wandered downstairs around 8:30pm to get some coffee and enjoy one of Grace's baked goods... she made the most amazing banana bread, lemon blueberry scones, and the list goes on. It's a perfect time to wake up slowly and soak in the views of rolling hills, vineyards, and trees. She had breakfast out every morning at 9am, and holy cow, was it amazing. We got to enjoy yogurt parfaits (made with the best local ingredients), egg scrambles, vegetables from the garden, and homemade jams. Can you see why we never wanted to leave? While some would shy away from going to Oregon during the rainy season, the weather ended up being a perfect match for the cozy atmosphere this beautiful sanctuary provided. I cannot recommend this spot enough! Thank you for a couple incredibly relaxing and peaceful days.
