This was my first time having a croffle, but as a croissant lover, I definitely enjoyed this more than a regular waffle since it had that flaky texture of a croissant. The croffles were a treat to have, and made fresh after you place your order so it's still warm when it gets served. There are a number of flavors/toppings to choose from, and a few simple drink options (water, tea, coffee, pop) . We ordered the Strawberry and Buenos flavours. The person behind the counter was friendly, and the interior was quite cute with its black tables and chairs, and pink walls.

When he showed me what he got me, I put my nose up to it and said "just a waffle" This is not just a waffle , it's croissant pastry baked in a waffle iron, which takes it to a whole other level in the dessert game. By the time I devoured it, it was cold, but I think I prefer it this way. Def going to make a stop in when I'm in the area.

They took their time to explain everything. It takes about 5-10 mins for the chimney cake to be ready. It was delicious and definitely large enough to share. Lots of different options to customize your treat. I'll be back to try more things!

I walked in not really knowing what to order or what to expect, but luckily I was the only customer at the time, so I had the chance to take it all in. * Service: The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience easy and welcoming. * Portion size: The cakes are huge! Honestly, I think a smaller size option would be great, but if you're hungry or sharing, the big portion works. * Texture & taste: Don't expect it to be like a BeaverTail--it's closer to the texture of a freshly cooled scone. The mix of crunchy outside, soft inside, and the added nuts made it really enjoyable. Overall, I'd definitely recommend trying it out if you're curious about chimney cakes. It's a fun treat, different from the usual Ottawa sweets, and worth experiencing at least once!

My total for the strawberry banana crepe was 15.76 Canadian dollars so not sure if it's pricey but even if it was it's totally worth it. There's also an ice cream place next to it. Super cute setup and the flavors were all so unique. However, the quality of the ice cream I feel could be improved more. I'm not sure what it was but for the price, you're getting your moneys worth!

The pistachio gelato had a good flavour and texture, and it's definitely worth trying. My husband and I went here for some gelato/ice cream and it was fantastic!…read more I got a small gelato ($5 taxes included) and I was thrilled that I was able to pick 2 flavours. I got mango and pistachio. I liked that they put the flavours side by side and not on top of each other. They also really filled up the cup so the portion size was excellent. The mango flavour was really potent, which I loved. The pistachio flavour was rich and nutty, which I also loved. They didn't have too many flavours, but a good mix of fruity and chocolate/caramel/etc. I would definitely get gelato here again. My husband got a soft serve ice cream dipped in S'mores. Omg! The S'mores dip was so good. It was chocolatey and had mini dehydrated marshmallows in it. My husband ordered a large ($5 taxes included), but I think they gave him a small because it looked small and they only charged him for a small ($4 taxes included). That's ok, we should be moderating our intake of sweets anyway, lol. The ice cream was rich and creamy. The dips are an extra $1, so you can get soft serve without dips too ($3 for a small and $4 for a large, inclusive of taxes). Service was friendly. We went during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Staff were wearing masks, physical distancing rules were in place, and there was hand sanitizer by the entrance. There are picnic tables and patio tables out front. Free parking in the private parking lot.

The Short Version: Middle Eastern bakery in Wellington…read moreWest. Good meat pies although prices a bit higher than other bakeries in the city. The Long Version: Solomon's Oven opened up at the end of 2025 in the space that used to be Bread by Us (Bread by Us moved further west onto Smirle Ave). It's a Syrian bakery specializing in Middle Eastern savory baked goods such as manakeesh, kaak and saj. They also sell baklava and other desserts, as well as dips like hummus. I got a man'ousheh/meat pie ($6.99). There was a bit of a wait for it because it was freshly baked and they had a lot of customers. Despite being busy, service was courteous and I felt welcomed. The meat pie was piping hot, which I appreciated. It had a good amount of meat and the pastry was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pastry was not too thick nor too doughy. However, the meat was missing that smokey flavour that I enjoy with Middle Eastern meat pies. Nonetheless it was still good. The price was a bit higher than at some other places in the city of comparable quality, but I recognize that rent in Wellington West is higher than say in Nepean. The decor inside is nice and it feels like a little cafe. Street parking only. Review #17 (2026)

The Short Version: Kiosk inside Bayshore Shopping Centre…read morethat sells Turkish Delight, nougat, baklava and nuts and fruits (including olives). The Long Version: My mom and I took my little nieces on an outing to Bayshore Shopping Centre. I like to treat my nieces to new adventures, including new (to them) foods. I thought they might like to try Turkish Delight, so I brought them to Kalamata, which is a kiosk on the second floor by the Winners, Famous Footwear and Les Moulins La Fayette. My nieces wanted the orange flavoured Turkish Delight, so I got them each a piece. The apple flavour and cherry coconut flavour looked interesting to me, so I got a piece of each of those flavours too. The price is by weight, $32.40/lb which is super expensive IMO, lol. The 4 cubes which were smaller than a standard household ice cube came out to $9.07. My nieces enjoyed their treat, but weren't wowed by it. They weren't interested in trying the other flavours I bought, so I shared them with my mom and we felt the same way. They were good, but not great, in our opinions. They weren't as soft as I like and tasted a bit dried out. After I made my purchase my mom decided to go back and get some baklava. It was Friday and on Fridays their baklava are 15% off. My mom got 2 pieces. One was a square of almond cake (did not have phyllo pastry) and the other was a phyllo roll with I think pistachios inside. The baklava is also sold by the weight and I think she paid about $12 for the 2 pieces, after the discount. We felt the same way about the baklava: they were good but nothing wow for us. Considering the prices of their items, I expected more wow. They also sell nougat slices, dried fruits and nuts, and of course the product of their namesake: olives. Their products are aesthetically pleasing, and staff were very friendly, but I personally did not feel I got adequate bang for my buck. I'm glad to have tried it and to have introduced my nieces to Turkish Delight, but I will likely not be a repeat customer. Lots of free parking in the mall parking lot. Review #110 (2026)
