We hooked into one Tarpon, and the fact it got off was all on me. That's why the call it 'fishing' and not 'catching'. Anyways, the boat is well maintained and clearly obvious that both David and Mitch take pride in giving their guests an exceptional experience. They are a Catamaran friendly yard, can fit a 30' Beam in their Brand new 80 Ton lift. DIY yards are hard to find and especially ones that can lift large cats for a very reasonable rate in South Florida!!!! (Even though weare a trawler we know what it's like finding a cat friendly yard).

The short story is that I HIGHLY recommend them, can't imagine a better fishing experience. Longer story Jon is an amazing captain and fisherman; he works very hard to find the fish and different experiences for his customers. His knowledge of fishing is amazing, and he certainly knows Islamorada like the back of his hand. We caught 10 different species, including a Sailfish by my daughter (Highlight) and many other cool battles getting the fish to the Boat. Craig and Eddie work very hard and make the whole experience 5 Star. Most importantly, Jon, Craig and Eddie are all great guys and were amazing to talk to, I could have just listened to their stories and would have enjoyed the trip. Could not recommend them any higher.

The space is comfy and the fishing is exciting and educational. I strongly recommend you give this outfit a try. If you're in town multiple days doing multiple charters, I recommend you do Drop Back last. There's no doubt the other charter will be a disappointment. We've been on Drop Back 3 times and each time it made the other charters feel like a waste of money. This guy cares about the fishery, proves it with his actions, knows a ridiculous amount of information about all species and provides the perfect experience to represent the fishing capital of the world.

He recommended restaurants to take the fish to have them cook it for us as well as other places to hang and drink. (Took the snapper to Mrs Mac's and had it cooked "southwest style" and would highly recommend that too). Alex was easy to talk too and also told us interesting facts about the area which I appreciated. All in all a great experience and would definitely do again if we're back in the area.

This is the largest dive company over ever been with. They run an operation here! They've got a…read morelarge platoon of boats and people coming in and out from dives all day long. But despite the scale of the business, which I'm normally iffy about big operations like this, we had a great time. Our five master was so fun and energetic and down to earth. She found us some great sea life: nurse shark, sea turtles, lion fish, eel, barracuda, parrot fish, puffer fish and more. Our first dive was the Brentwood. It's the first wreck dive I've ever done and I loved it! There was so much sea life and the bullet holes in the wrech were so neat to sneak a peek into. The second dive was French reef and again so wonderful. We got to go into little caves and arches in the coral. It had been a while since I had to set up my own tank and BCD so I had to ask some questions to remember. They will help you out, but there is some labor on your end unless you ask. Overall a fantastic 2 tank dive in January in 75 degree water. I would definitely dive with rainbow reef again. Especially with how competitive the prices are!

These folks will give you concierge service and will take your BCD off of you and handle them for you in the water if you need that. They will do as little or as much as you request. Guides have good knowledge of dive sites and what marine life we would likely encounter. We have our own equipment so cannot comment on rental equip. Overall atmosphere was relaxed and fun while still managing to focus on safety.
