Marsi was just wonderful to interact with. She was so helpful to help me plan around all the other things that were going on unexpectedly. The process of renting the space was easy and she able to email all the papers i needed and was quick to answer all my questions. I dont quite remember the capacity of the depot but we were able to set up many tables and chairs (that are provided in the rental). The kitchen area was large and cold and warm storage was available. We rented in the month of december and the depot was decorated lovely.

This Victorian facility was actively used for about 100 years until the 1980s when Amtrak, which by then was the operator of most of the remaining US passenger train operations, decided to cease service to Chelsea. The effort to restore the building began in 1985 by concerned members of the community who formed the Chelsea Depot Association. They clearly have done a superb job. It now appears to function as an event venue for weddings, etc. It also remains a structure to admire on the exterior as well.

We were seated at our table and given the cocktail menu. I ordered the rosemary greyhound. It was refreshing and had just the right amount of rosemary in it. At my table we had the short rib hash, the boursin cheese egg sandwich, the salmon egg scramble & the sausage, egg and pimento sandwich. Everything was excellent. The hash had amazing roasted potatoes, a nice amount of meat and two beautiful fried eggs on top. Actually, all the dishes came with a side of roasted potatoes that were wonderful. One of the things that I think would really elevate this restaurant is if their orange juice was fresh squeezed. However, it was quite good. We will be coming back soon to try the Italian grinder and the Nutella French toast. We are told that there is music on some nights and we did not review the dinner menu. Oh, there's also a fair with a few rides and carnival food but the real star is the derby. I went for the first time tonight and now I'm absolutely hooked. When the fair is in town it's a must. I could hardly hear the lady on the line. I asked for her name but she refused to provide it. I told her I wanted to ensure it was cancelled. I asked her to email me the confirmation. I looked at my email. There was a cancellation, but there was ALSO a confirmation of a reservation for SEVEN nights! The price was $715! So I searched for yesterday's reservation and it was for SEVEN nights at $715 by Jamie's when she distinctly told me the total price would be $270! In addition to the WRONG days, the WRONG price, ALL the confirmations have my name misspelled. Getting to talk to a supervisor is impossible. I hope I am not charged after 'whoever it was' confirmed the reservation a SECOND time AFTER cancelling it. I wonder if they are on drugs or they want to get fired. This is unacceptable.
