Our father passed away in October and it was a tough time for all of us. We had plenty of family coming through the house and we enjoyed going in the hot tub now and then. However, we noticed the water level was a bit low at times, so we called Lifestyles to come take a look. The first service rep came out and claimed "the water level was too high and he needed to come back at a different time." We were ok with that. The rep charged us $164 for a service visit and informed us that this charge would count towards the next time they came out to check. Again, completely acceptable. Then, the problems started. The rep took more than 2 weeks to come back out and when he did, he only claimed "the cap was too loose so we tightened it." He proceeded to charge my mother additional fees for that. That didn't solve the problem, however! We still noticed the water levels were low. We called them back to have them come out and fix it (as they should have the other 2 times they came). They did, but then proceeded to charge my mother ANOTHER $164 for a service visit. Basically, doubled the service visit fees despite a single fix and the reason for the multiple visits was their fault. When we reached out to them to discuss the charges, the person on the phone refused to transfer my mother to the manager and claimed "these charges look standard." Refused to help my mother with ANYTHING! Needless to say, we will NOT be giving them our business anymore and I would recommend the same to anyone else

They understand that it's a large leisure purchase and you want to be sure of what you get. They also gave us all the treatment chemicals free to start out with! At the end of my first month I brought in a water sample and they used a machine to give a detailed readout beyond what a test strip could do. Then the manager plotted out all the steps to bring my water into all ideal ranges and also wrote me out a cheat sheet for future use. I would definitely recommend using them and I really value that they are local.

2017 Update: After much discussion and several visits, we…read moredid receive a refund for the "extra electrical" that their subcontractor charged us on the spot, for electrical that was already included in our contract with Midwest. We also received a refund for the drainage repair we paid for after the Midwest workers crushed a large PVC drainage tube and then covered it up without telling us. Product-wise, we've been happy with the fiberglass pool. Granted, we've only had it open for one season. We also invested in a power cover, and although we're happy with the added level of safety, I'm a little concerned with the quality of the actual mechanics. We'll see how long it lasts. Here is some advice if you're planning on going with Midwest: 1 - Ask for a name and number of the Midwest employee that will be overseeing you're entire installation, and make sure they're at your house when the subcontractors are working. Most of our issues wouldn't have happened if their subcontractors were properly supervised by a Midwest employee. After all, that is what you're paying Midwest to do. 2 - Get everything in writing. Even if it's for something small. The labor to close our pool was already covered by an addendum, but we had to prove it on three separate occasions.

When I call them up she first said try this first and call me back. Most of the time she's wright on the ball and it will cost you nothing. If it's where someone needs to come out then they still only charge you for the work and no add-ons. They never try to upsell you and just give you good service. Call them they are the best.
