During our visit there was a few birthday parties going on, kids screaming and running around. Most of the games we played seemed to be sticky or greasy on the controls. Unfortunately, several games that we wanted to play (power roll, coin pushers) were either broken or jammed. Also, each play was pretty expensive compared to other arcades we've played at. The only staff I saw was at their respective counters, none were seen walking the floor checking on things, or cleaning. The tickets we did win, there was nothing much in their prize area we wanted (too many junky toys and candy), so we gave the credits to a nearby kid. We enjoy seeing an arcade prize area tailored towards kids and adults. Unless they change it up, I highly doubt we will be back.

It was a bit older, about 25 lanes or so, it didn't smell that great and I felt their food was REALLY overpriced ... we had to wait about 45 mins for a lane since it was "glow in the dark " Saturday and then we got our lane and it seemed the mood and all the things that weren't the best did matter much and here's why .... The lights went out, the black lights came on and fun took over. I really like how the guys at the front desk were super friendly and interacted with the bowlers. On Saturday the lanes have neon pins and throughout the night if they called hour lane they added to the competitive nature offering $1.00 or $2.00 for a strike or hitting the various neon pins. Some people really upped their game and energy adding to the nights fun. On one of my turns I picked up a pretty hard spare and over the mic they gave me Lots of kudos which I admit made me feel pretty good for a totally amateur lol. We did decide to order food and the wings honestly were really Yummy ! It was like I made them at home. Nice and big super meaty and crispy batter. Wasn't that crazy about the fries but my son liked them and the staff again was really friendly and accommodating. Wings Fries and 1 drink was about $29.00 so yeah a little on the high side but it was good. The games were $15.00 and we played 2 rounds plus of your a first timer there sign up on email and get a &10.00 coupon so not a bad deal. They also have a small arcade and honestly we really had a nice time and even with a few short comings I would suggest this place to anyone in town or visiting. A few suggestions I would make would be it would be great if there was a little more wait staff to come by the lanes for food orders vs. having to leave your game to go wait for an order. Perhaps invest in a air filter system or something to freshen up the smell a bit, I realize once you are there it could be easy to get use to and not really notice. I do like the fact you can reserve your lane in advance on busy nights maybe adding an app application where you can do this online would be a nice addition. Unfortunately, all three days that we brought our groups this year (2024) staff were irritated with us from the start, short and snappy with the kids and our staff, and all around unwelcoming. The kids were following all the rules too, being respectful of other parties and bowlers, and not misbehaving. I (as an adult) even got the brush-off when asking for help from the front desk. And before anyone says "maybe they were frustrated with an unannounced, large group". I called the week before (which is what Lilac Lanes requested of us) and let them know the size of each group on each day and our time of arrival. Nobody is perfect, and yes, all people have off days. But a smile and some patience can go a long way in making the kids'

Decent Servicable Bowling Alley - Weekends Mainly…read more SITREP A bowling alley actually does sit amidst the small logging community of St. Maries. SETUP It's got several lanes, so you can host a good size group here. Since we checked on a family union possibility, there is an opportunity to rent the venue out for a private event during the week as well if you make the arrangements in advance. BAR Not only is this the only bowling alley for miles around, at times it is the only decent bar as well. I had my first "Mind-Eraser" here which is a special concoction that the bartendress proudly makes here. My uncle and cousin just stuck to their Coors lights. HOURS What sucks about this venue - and to be fair, it's more of an issue of being in a very small town community - is that the codes and hours allowed for venues with respect to noise ordinances and regulations make this venue shut down at 8pm during the week - which it is not even open most week days. If you really want to enjoy yourselves at this venue, then it really is open late on Friday and Saturday. But come on, let's get real for a moment: are you really going to spend your hard-earned Friday and/or Saturday night off here in St. Maries? Hell-to-the-"No." I'm going to Coeur d'Alene, Spokane or even Seattle or Boise if I get the chance to road trip. THE LOWDOWN A good little bowling alley with limited hours.
