I ordered an 8" vanilla cake with American buttercream and cannoli filling. I then requested the top to be filled with pastel tones of flowers. On the day of pickup (yesterday), the cake was ready and exactly as requested. Granted, the cake was a bit pricey, but then again, I also did not inquire the price prior to ordering. The quality is there, so in the end, the price didn't really matter. Also, the cake seemed huge for 8 inches! Those working (I'm assuming one was the owner as she was there both times I came in) were super friendly and welcoming. They customised this cake for us absolutely perfectly where we got both fillings of chocolate and mocha because we couldn't land on just one type. The decoration was done with the most buttery frosting and not the almost inedible hard frosting which is overly sweet. The frosting we got was buttery and delicious. They don't do cake toppers but they give you the dimensions and you can order the topper and bring it to them. The added bonus for us was that they are about 2-3 minutes drive from us. The amazing thing is they deliver and are very punctual with their deliveries. Totally recommend.

We made chocolate caramel cookies, shaped decorated sugar cookies, raspberry jam thumbprint cookies, and chocolate chip cookies. Getting almost all our Christmas cookie baking done as a date night in 2 hours was awesome! Lots of fun conversations, great group of people, everything prepped and ready for us to roll, shape, decorate, bake and then put it in a fabulous cookie container. We signed up for the March St Patricks day class on the spot! They also offer a cannoli class, and a Valentines class. Soooo worth it. I love to visit them on the green in East Haven at the farmers market too.

A cake was included in my wedding package at SPI. With my hardcore addiction to chocolate, my wedding coordinator at SPI recommended that I try the Chocolate Devastation cake at Pastry Fusions. So my two MOHs and I took a drive down to North Branford on a Saturday afternoon to meet with Frank, the owner, for the tasting. He was such a nice guy who poured his heart into his business and let us sample as many different flavors as we wanted. Each sample had its own artful presentation. After many chocolate flavored cakes, we decided on the cappuccino mousse cake; three tiers of chocolate cake, layered with cappuccino mousse and cinnamon whipped cream, then frosted with chocolate butter cream. It was DIVINE! For the top layer, which I will have on November 8, 2015, it was the chocolate devastation flavor. As an added bonus, Frank provided the white roses on top of my cake. This act of kindness gave me one less thing to coordinate with my florist. Before we left, we just had to get those heavenly Maple Bacon Donuts! There was a line for the donuts!
