An excellent cafe featuring a wide variety of baked goods. My Airbnb host, a local, suggested G Cafe for breakfast. Locals don't lie. This place is phenomenal. My husband and I were so impressed, we visited twice. On the first visit, we started with a Raspberry Cronut. The glaze was wonderfully flavored and the pastry was perfectly buttery and flaky. I preferred their version over the original. For food, I ordered the Avocado Toast (smashed avocado, two poached eggs, marinated cherry tomato, queso fresco and peas green, $10.95) without the tomato. Wow, it was fabulous! The eggs were poached well, avocado was very fresh and the bread was phenomenal. Hubby ordered Oatmeal (steel-cut oats topped with toasted almonds drizzled with maple syrup, $7.95) and added seasonal fruit (+$1.50) which turned out to be berries. I don't like steel-cut oats so I didn't have any, however he was impressed and expressed his likeness for it very much. We also shared a yummy Vanilla Latte! I wanted to go back to next day to grab a loaf of that delicious bread used on the toast (I believe it was the "Fitness" bread?) when I bumped into another local who suggested I try the Cage Fee Egg N' Cheese Breakfast Sandwiches ($6.95). You can build it any way you like. I ordered one with cheddar and turkey (+$2.00) and one sausage (+$2.00). Both were delicious. Made to order, the eggs were perfectly cooked and I appreciated the generous piling on turkey. The brioche buns were wonderfully light and fluffy. Highly recommend! On the way out, I couldn't pass up another Raspberry Cronut. You shouldn't either.

I walked by here on my daily walks and always wondered how it was. Finally got the courage to go in for a late breakfast. You order on the counter and pay then they call up your name and you can take it to go or sit inside or outside. The outside sitting overlooks the green. Perfect for people watch. Service was phenomenal. Love that they call you by name. My French toast was good. Packaged perfect. Definitely will be back.

Best coffee in Branford hands down! Not to mention a terrific spot for breakfast! Ordered avocado toast and was among one of the best I've ever had. Fresh Bread, ripe avocado, perfect egg, and a great touch with the bacon and at a great price!

Had to have a bread for the week. Luckily made it just in time. Trying a new bread this week. So fresh smelling and hopefully delicious!

My only gripe is that the quality of food is great, but I'm sitting in a nice café, being served, coffee and food in to go containers.

Hour to kill in Branford today so I decided to try G Café. Great location and looks really nice inside. Ordered the avocado toast, which is exceptional, on amazing bread. Only gripe is that they served it to me in a to go container even though I'm sitting here. Otherwise would've been five stars!

We were actually planning on going somewhere else for breakfast, but because our Airbnb host suggested we go here, we came to G cafe on a whim! G Cafe reminds me of Panera except without the annoying nuances of a chain restaurant. Upon entrance customers are welcomed in with the sweet aroma of freshly baked pastries. I was surprised to even see larger breakfast entrees such as French toast and salmon pragels! We ended up ordering these for our breakfast, although my stomach begged me to also order the vanilla glazed cronut as well. Overall, the French toast was delicious! It was a bit too eggy for me, although the French toast was light and airy. The mild sweetness of fresh blueberries and strawberries elevated the French toast's tastiness! I took a bite out of the salmon pragel, and it was a savory delight! Not sure why it wasn't just called a "bagel" but honestly whatever works for G Cafe. Finally, the vanilla glazed cronut: a heavenly dessert sent from the higher beings of pastries. Buttery, crisp, and flaky layers on the inside surrounded by a sweet thick icing. Accidentally scarfing this down, I successfully convinced my husband to buy another one for the road. So glad we took the advice of our local airbnb host to come to G Cafe! I'm not sure when I would come back to CT, but if so, then I would love to eat here again!

Fresh bread all sorts of pastry a extremely well designed breakfast light lunch stack something for everybody

I stopped there for the near perfect bagel not huge but perfectly bait with a nice crust to it as New York bagel as you can get coffee unfortunately may be a different subject The standard dark roast needs a little help my opinion, you could always add a shot of expresso and a big plus for me is they actually have almond milk this is my first choice for anything bagel or a light lunch in the area.

The best bakery for bread and small sweet treats. Friendly staff and comfortable environment. A little pricey but what isn't today?

Best cookies anywhere! Yum! Suggestion: bake more Cluster cookies so there are some left for afternoon tea.

I like that they are open on Sundays since most other bakeries are not The woman that waited on me was friendly and patient while I looked around since it was my first visit. The women checking me out said they don't do trays but could do an assortment of pastries split amongst 2 boxes, which was perfectly fine with me as I was going to plate them. I picked them up and should have checked the boxes before leaving because I was given large pastry in size rather than quantity. In total I had about 8 pastries and wasn't able to serve them as a dessert because I didn't have enough. I wasn't happy for the money I spent but decided to chalk it up as a miscommunication and give Cheri's one more try for Easter. As my guests were eating we realized that the chocolate cream pie and all of the pastries filled with the chocolate cream tasted off and realized it was spoiled. Needless to say I'm going to try another bakery for my future needs instead of literally throwing my money away.
