We dropped off our bike in May, explained that the display was blinking and drawing from the battery. We had already replaced the battery and told the service tech that the battery was new. A week later they called and said they replaced the battery and that wasn't the problem. We had told them the battery was new and wasnt the problem. They then said it was the radio and they would have to send it out to be rebuilt. We asked if they had done a diagnostic on all other areas and they said yes. The rebuilt radio came back and they said the display was blinking more often than before. We asked if they checked if it was the display and if so could they replace it. They asked if we wanted to fix the bike ourselves. Are you kidding me. You've had my bike for three months and just admitted you didn't check the most obvious thing first. My husband was upset, asking them what they were going to do and for more frequent updates and by no means was he yelling, and service tech said come get your bike and hung up on us. He hung up on us. Unbelievable . We called to speak to the shop or service manager and we are waiting for their call back. read more

Rode to Greer from Beech Mountain, NC to look at a trike. Long ride through beautiful mountains. Arrived and met with Danny, the owner, who let me test ride 2 different trikes. Explained the differences between the 2 bikes, gave reasons why some riders went with one or the other, and since I hadn't ridden a trike before went over some of the major differences between 2 up and trikes. Danny worked hard to give me the best trade on my bike and really made the experience very easy. Only the 2nd dealership I have ever visited, whether it was for bike or auto, that really went the extra mile. Bought the bike, rode it back to Beech Mountain, then rode it to Raleigh, NC, where I live. Noticed that during the rides the rear brakes weren't acting right so had my bike mechanic take a look at it. Turns out the rotor for the rear brakes was cracked in half, hence the reason the brakes wouldn't work properly. Called Danny to talk with him about it, asking that while the bike didn't come with a warranty was there anything he could do. He very quickly told me that he was unaware of the problem when they had the bike or would have made repairs before being sold. He then said that I could either bring to them for repairs or have my guy make the repairs and he would foot the bill. Since they are about 4 hours away I opted to have my guy make the repairs. This type of customer service is what people used to receive in days gone past but seems to have fallen by the wayside. Very refreshing to know that there are still people like Danny and his crew at Cherokee Cycles that still care about their customers to this extent. At my age this is probably the last bike I will buy, but if not I will definitely check with Danny to see what he has available and be more than willing to make the ride to deal with him again. When I purchased my challenger Indian motorcycle, it didn't feel quite right and I wanted to move into a chieftain motorcycle. I purchased a new Victory Cross Country Tour in 2014. The owner, Danny Patterson, was great to deal with -- straightforward, courteous, in the motorcycle business because he loves it, etc. The whole experience was terrific. A few months later, I was on a ride with my wife and another couple who had flown in to visit and I received a phone call from Victory (Bluetooth on my helmet): Polaris had just issued a "Stop Ride Recall" on my motorcycle. I had to park it immediately. We were one hour into a four-day ride and I was very upset. I called Danny, who immediately told me he would work out a solution and call me back. Less than 30 minutes later, he called to say that he had worked with the Polaris regional manager and they were going to replace my bike with a brand new one. Three and a half hours after that, one of Danny's mechanics showed up (we were 120 miles from his shop) with a brand new Cross Country Tour on a trailer. The mechanic switched out my accessories in a parking lot and we were on our way. Danny sent me a model he had on the floor that had a better paint job and a better exhaust system and didn't charge me for either. Not only that, but when I asked him to sell my wife's bike on consignment, he refused to take a commission to make up for my inconvenience. We lost four hours of riding time for an incident that would have permanently ended the ride had I bought a different brand or from a different dealer. Victory and Cherokee stood behind the product 100% and the new bike has been flawless. I wound up with a better bike and a whole new level of admiration for Danny Patterson and Polaris. My car broke down and I drove into their parking lot on the side of the building. I had my daughter in law, her friend, and my 3-year-old grandson with me. We went inside and asked if they could stay inside in the cool air (it was around 90 degrees outside) while I put an alternator on my car that I had with me. He said of course, and I went outside. A few minutes later, one of their technicians can outside with a bottle of cold water and asked if he could help me. I was not a customer, but they took 100% care of me and my family. He put the alternator on and got it going for me. If you are looking for a place to buy a motorcycle, look no more! These people are the real deal and I thank them from the bottom of my heart! These guys are very good at what is very important keeping their prices and their word. Cannot say that enough, when you get a quote they stick to it and don't do the old add on half way through. Danny is a top level owner with a personality that fits what he does. Like a owner who is approachable and actually has time to talk with customers. I was in the market to make a motorcycle upgrade (trade). Began looking online and visited numerous dealers sites. I also paid close attention to reviews that were posted about the various dealers. My decision was impacted by the reviews I read about Cherokee. My wife and I were greeted and met by salesperson John Poole. I located the bike that I was interested in. and John set me up with a test ride. Loved the bike, exactly what I was looking for. Met with John and I explained to him my situation with a trade, and where I would like to be with payments. John fully explained the process, the best and worst case scenario and we would do our best to reach a deal. We were able to reach a successful agreement that met all of my wishes and needs. There was never any point that I felt any pressure, John was very friendly, helpful and thorough. He provided a great deal of details to help me with my purchase.
