Heidi made sure to explain the process fully and carefully created the colour that I was looking to achieve. To help her with the colour I had in mind, I brought the lip tint that I normally used. She then crafted the colour with her pigments and ensured that I was happy with the colour prior to applying it. Keeping in mind that everyone's pain tolerance level is different, I did not feel uncomfortable or in pain during the actual process (numbing cream was used before the process begun). Heidi made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire lip blushing process. Upon completion, she thoroughly explained the healing and aftercare process. Again, keeping in mind that everyone's skin will react differently, my lips were pretty swollen after. However, as advised by Heidi, the swelling subsided after 2 days and the whole healing process took about 6 days for all the scabs to come off. Thank you Heidi for doing such a wonderful job!

While browsing places to get microblading done for my mom, I came across Oh My Lash and Brow on Yelp. What stood out the most, were the before and after pictures of Heidi's previous clientele. Add in the $250 for $450 voucher and the relative close distance to my house, and I was sold. Next, it was easy calling in and making an appointment for the next day; and Heidi gave useful directions over the phone, for getting to her unit number within the plaza - she is located on the second floor; & once you get up the stairs, there are large signs above each door in the hallway letting you know of which business is which. The overall process took about 3 hours, with the majority of the time being spent on the pre-procedure tasks including: initial information session on microblading, consultation, and sketching of the eyebrows. My mother is a very picky woman so they had to be perfect before we could move on haha - I appreciate Heidi's patience. The actual procedure took anywhere from 30-60 minutes and a lot of numbing agent is applied to the area before and during the procedure to eliminate any pain sensations. Heidi also continually checked in with my mom asking her if she was ok and/or feeling any pain. Another great point to mention was Heidi's obvious knowledge and experience performing this procedure. She gave us plenty of information in the beginning regarding risks, signs of infection to look for following the procedure, and she was sure to explain the sterility of the microblading tools she would be using. [Cool to note that she even staples the freshly opened package to each client's consult form.] With my mom and I both being nurses, we were very happy to see that detail and attention were put into the health safety of the procedure, which involves needles and the breakage of skin, therefore carrying a high potential of transmission of infections. Overall, my mom and I were very happy with the results, the entire process and this wonderful microblading experience with Heidi. She gifted us with another voucher to help spread the word and I will definitely be sure to pass it to a friend. It is well worth the time and money spent! Once I entered, she did a temperature check and I signed a form basically agreeing that I did not have COVID-19 nor have I traveled/ been in contact with someone who has. I opted to have by brows threaded (with minor tweezing). After that, she used the benefit brow mascara and pencil to fill in- and voila. I also ended up purchasing the brow mascara to take home, and was given two complimentary samples of the brow pencil. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and I will be going back to this boutique (and perhaps trying out other services here!).

The boutique is adorable and features fun product displays as well as a makeup counter where you can play with all of their products before or after your appointment. There is also a phone charging station in the back. I love Benefit because the quality of their eyebrow waxing/threading is consistent. I have had different employees every time, as well as in another location, and have always been satisfied. All of Benefit's aestheticians are trained in their signature technique, which begins with mapping the brows. The aesthetician uses pencil to outline the shape they are going to create, then shows you to confirm that it is what you want. Next they wax, thread, and fill in using Benefit products. Usually they will use the Gimme Brow gel, Erase Paste concealer around the brows to add definition, and a highlighter under the brow bone. They will recommend you their products, of course. I own the Gimme Brow gel in medium/deep for my brunette brows and Boing! concealer and like them both. Unrelated, but their Roller Lash mascara is also fantastic.

There are times when I wish they could have trimmed a bit more hair or done a better job cleaning up stray hairs so when I get home I do end up doing a little clean up. My chin was left with lots of hair remaining and mostly I have scars left all over my face. I can't even come back to tell and show her how my face is as I had to fly back to Europe.
