Meet the Business Owner: R. Craig B.

I was born and raised in Portage Michigan. I went to Florida State University to study marine biology after my high school councilor discouraged me from Veterinary school because it was too hard to get in. My college professor encouraged me to follow my dream and I graduated from University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. I practice in Florida for 14 years and move to northern Michigan in 1998. In 2005 I bought the Banfield Pet Hospital franchise in Traverse City. The franchisor bought it back in 2015 and I decided to open a mobile hospital. I've been married to Allyson since 2003 and I have 3 grown children. Andy teaches English in Bogota, Colombia, Kyle goes to school in Florida and Caity is a massage therapist in the Chicago area. I look forward to continuing my work with local rescue groups, humane societies and the great people of northern Michigan.
