Went in because I hit my foot hard and it hurt to walk. 10 minute appointment with the doctor and he said it was probably just nerve damage and could take 2 weeks to 2 months because it's hard to predict recovery for nerve damage and sent me on my way. I asked if I need to pay and they said no insurance covered it and sent me on my way. 6 months later this clinic sent me a bill for $200! If you care about what your feet are going to look like after surgery please do NOT do NOT go here!!!!! I came in for a simple procedure to have an ingrown toenail taken care of. Mind you it wasn't infected when I went in. In fact neither of my toes were really that bad at all, but I was tired of having my pedicurist having to take care of it every time I went in so I went ahead and did the procedure with Dr Melnick. First off he is a bit gruff. Nice guy but probably should have retired from surgery awhile ago. He's got fat sausage fingers that Do Not work with any sort of precision. Uhm ask me why I didn't stop him after he stabbed my toes about 20 times with the big ass local anesthesia needle?!! I think I was too traumatized to get up and thought Im already here I might as well just get it done. Don't want to go through that again! But I should have run. It still hurt like crazy when he was using the instrument to cut the nails. Again without precision. I think ultimately the worse part was the recovery. I had to keep going back bc it wasn't healing. (At $70 a visit for copay) And then it got infected and I had to beg for antibiotics. Which I was on for 2 weeks and it still wasn't healing. But every time I went back, he said it looked like it was healing and some people take longer than others blah blah blah. I guess so bc it's been 4 months and my nails still look like crap. The worst part is im not sure they'll ever grow back normal again. During the surgery after he cut the nail, he applied a cell killer gel to the nail bed so that part of the nail they cut away doesn't grow back. Not sure how it's supposed to be applied. My assumption is with precision since it's supposed to KILL cells, but he put a big glob of it on the areas he cut. Then bandaged it all up. I'm pretty sure this is why my nails aren't growing back normal. On a subsequent visit, he noticed my nails were getting a little long. He said he'd cut them. I said no that's ok I'll cut them when I get home. He said might as well let me do it since you're here. Well ok. (Me rolling my eyes at myself for just being easy go with the flow kind of person instead of standing firm) he gets his clippers like the one he used for surgery and proceeds to cut my nail... CROOKED. I swear I was about to cry. If he can't cut across the top straight how the eff was he ever going to cut the ingrown nail straight???? Oh he didn't by the way, which again probably contributed to the hot mess. The other dr wasn't any better. He made it sound like it was all my fault, even though I was following all the post op directions. With the soaking and the cleaning etc. and asked why I wanted to extend the antibiotics. Maybe bc my toes were still swollen from the infection??? He didn't even look at my feet to see if extending the antibiotics would be a good idea or not. If you can, run don't walk away from this clinic. I regret using these dr's For my foot surgery. read more

I visited to Cherry Creek Foot Clinic for pain in the ball of my foot and a toe that felt like it was burning. The clinic is very dirty -- I really did not want to walk on their carpet for fear of catching a foot fungus or worse. The "doctor" told me I needed orthotics and bigger shoes. Apparently the front of my shoe was rubbing on my toe creating the burning sensation, or at least according to him. New orthotics at $500+ and a year later without any improvement I went to a real podiatrist. I have capsulitis and morton's neuroma. I was treated with the correct orthotics that addressed the issue for $290 and my feet have never felt better. I would recommend you look elsewhere for a doctor. read more

DANGER! I needed a pinky toe ingrown removed. At a walk in clinic it would be about a $100 procedure. They told me they would bill insurance and would discount the bill if insurance rejected the claim. They didn't tell me that 40% was my part before trying insurance and $480 was my part if insurance rejected their claim. Worse, my foot has been in pain since the procedure and they won't allow an office visit (which is included in the fee) because it's a different part of my foot that hurts. Apparently even though my foot has been in pain since the procedure, they won't even look at it. Now I have to go to a reputable doctor to see what they did. read more

But it would be a much better experience and would inspire more confidence in the patients if the office was deep-cleaned (I didn't want to put my bare foot on the floor) and given a thorough dusting. I became familiar with the clinic a few years ago when my wife saw Dr. Lorrie Melnick for a painful problem caused by a gangleon cist (sp?). After examination and pain therapy the doctor scheduled a surgery at a local hospital. My wife was scared by the prospect of surgery. The Doctor had us both come into his office and explained the process including recovery. All went very well and we thought that the Doctor was as gentle and compassionate as he was medically knowledgable and skilled as a surgeon. Amazing Doctors and staff.. I appreciate Dr. Melnick for what he did for me and save me from a pain I use to live with for a year and a half .. I've been told that I have a fractured bone in my left foot and they have to get it out with surgery !! (I have a plantar fasciitis in both feet) , and Dr. Melnick said NO it's not a fractured bone it's an accessory bone and the P.F is swollen badly when we heal the plantar fasciitis everything will be better and he was so right when I got the shot everything got better I know I need time till full recovery but now feeling much much better and continuing my therapy whith Dr. Melnick , he is the best Doctor in the world he listens to every word I say even when I say everything again , and he believed that I had a terrible pain.. If you love a good argument about your foot inserts plus additional topics AND you have $500 to lose, this is the place for you! I told the "doctor" that the inserts made my back hurt when I tried it on, but he said it was fine. He said that I could come in to have it adjusted(for $75 a time) after I wore them for a while. Each time I wore them even briefly, it took 3 days of medication, exercises, and ice to get my back to not hurt. Since this office has a zero refund policy, I am out $500 for inserts that are in the dumpster. Also this "doctor" has a terrible "bedside manner", extremely unpleasant. Big mistake! read more

In the end, my nail is worse than before and probably won't grow back and I have nerve damage in my entire foot. I experienced numbness for months after the surgery and told the doctor about it and he told me not to worry. I had to go to another doctor multiple times and have steroid shots in my foot in hopes that I will eventually regain feeling in my foot, and when I called Cherry Creek Foot Clinic to inform them of this they were RUDE. Plus, while I was in the waiting room before my appointments, I witnessed the front desk attendant be rude to an elderly woman who was experiencing pain in her foot, even going so far to mimic shooting herself in the head at the end of the conversation. I rang the office in advance to ensure payment/billing details for my elderly mother, who was coming for her appointment with my elderly father. Once given insurance details, the gentleman (who apparently no longer works there), made very clear how the billing process would proceed, with secondary insurance covering what the first would not. On the day my father took my mother in, he was informed at the END of the appointment that he was to pay $70 out of pocket for the procedure. With the doctor standing there, and the feeling that he would not be able to leave otherwise, he reluctantly paid with his credit card. He was given no receipt. Once I heard what had occurred, I rang the office. Long story short, I was told they only had one insurer on record, when I know 100% that my father provided information for both. I was told to call their accountant, who acknowledged they had the second insurer on file, and that they were in the process of billing. They did NOT have a $70 credit for my father's payment. I called back the office (Dr. Melnick never had the courage to speak with me directly, though I asked many times), and asked why the $70 credit had not been recorded. I also asked for a copy of the bill, which never arrived. Not ever has my father been billed for medical services BEFORE the actual billing process occurs with the insurers. Fortunately, since my father paid with his credit card, we were able to file a dispute. Clients beware - confirm your fees and billing process before seeing the doctor, at the time of service - calling in advance may very well contradict what you are told once you arrive there. The care at the office was ok but the front office staff badly misinformed me about how my continued treatments would be covered. I was told on my first visit that once I paid my copays & deductible amount for my issue then any further treatments on the same issue would count as follow up care and be covered under global care. But this was wrong so I was billed another 110$. But the worse part is that when I went to pay the bill I was charged 410$ instead of 110. It has been almost a month and I still have not been given my money back. I have called multiple times & spoken to multiple people who have all assured me that it would be taken car of. Now I'm told that they are awaiting the Drs approval. Why does he even need to think about refunding me my money when it was their office who messed up & took money that didn't belong to them. Now I have overdraft fees because I needed that money to pay for my insurance while on FMLA leave after having had a baby in April.
